Saw them on their , " Private Audition " tour in '82 , at The Onondaga County War Memorial , Syracuse , NY , , their opening act was some guy named John Cougar , who was pimping some album , " American Fool " ...
Saw this band 3 times. Dog and Butterfly tour at Cape Cod Coliseum- festival seating. Actually there were no seats on the floor section at all. Just push forward and get as close as you can!! Then twice at Worcester Civic Center. Once backing Passionworks release and the second time Bad Animals which was an unreal amazing show. Ann has a voice like a lead guitar with all the pitch, range and punch!! Love this Band and this is one of my favorite songs!
wow---quite a statement u made there,RedGuitar94---and guess what---it's the absolute TRUTH!!! sorry your generation has to listen to the shit they call "music" these days
uhh...Definitely. All the stuff that's "new" and sounds "cool" gets used and overused, and the "music" just stays crappy. It's like no one remembers what a melody is.
As much as I love ROCK, I think alot of people (younger ones) today would really profit from listening to a bit of older stuff, to know what a MELODY is. Like Sammy Davis or Neil Diamond.
Heart is Great, they had a great sense of melody.
Something I noticed in this video was sound quality. Heart is a great band, but two thumbs up for their sound man for giving near studio sound quality to a live performance.
This is the best version of "Straight On" I've ever seen.

THIS CONCERT SHOULD DEFINITELY BE ON DVD. THIS IS WHEN THEY NOT ONLY LOKED THEIR BEST, BUT ALSO SOUNDED THE BEST TOO.

I'll never forget waiting overnight in a hail storm in Salt Lake City for Heart tickets. It was around 1984.
I'd do it again.
Love and respect to the Queens.

You can really hear the Robert Plant influence in Ann's voice in these early recordings.

Well, in all fairness, not everything today sucks...
The stuff that retains the classic vibe in it (say Lenny Kravitz, the Trews, The Upper Crust to name a few) have that classic rock vibe to them.
And not compressing everything to the max before it blows up on the master recording also helps...

Yeah or morphing the human human voice with a bad sounding synth really was a new level of crappyness,I think Cher was the 1st.
