As much as I love my gurl I really think the part should have went to Kelly Price whom they have always called baby Mahalia. Yet, I think Fantasia will do alright with the part. A true powerhouse and beast on the mic. She rips the stage apart. I love the energy she has and she always connects with her crowd, fans or whoever. She absolutely loves what she does. I had the opportunity of seeing her in " The Color Purple " and as you can see at this concert. I can't wait to see her again.

i agree with you, my mother (61 yrs old at the time) saw her in NYC, and OMG she ripped it up. Her strength is her live performance. I have been truly blessed to have been able to see EWF, Prince, Chaka and Boyz to Men in concert and this lady is right up there with them. I was hoarse as hell the next day!! If you ever see her live, its a treat indeed. Support our artist if you truly love what they do. YOU GO GIRL.
