FGM shows us how superstition has such a powerful grasp of humans who have been steeped in a tradition that they cannot easily see the obvious harm caused by such irrational behavior.

The young woman who stands up against circumcision and plans to become a doctor is heroic. I wish her well in her campaign to eradicate circumcision.
