  • nakakalungkot naman ang kalagayan ng bansa. minsan nawawalan na rin ako ng pagasa

  • So different from Makati city !!!

  • Grace just thinks her entire family is fucked up.

  • Can't believe the church has such an influence in Philippines society. Couldn't believe it when I saw the banners outside the churches against the RH Bill.

  • SUPPORT THE RH BILL.

And this is coming from a Christian.

  • i hate seeing kids like this i like it when there all happy having fun and living there life happily and i hate it when they have 2 go 2 the streets and get money from ppl in there cars and telling then 2 go away cuz they think there filthy and dirty they dont even have a heart just 2 give them 1 peso and i think dats enough 4 them 2 survive if they keep earning it i wnna help them sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BAD

  • There are a lot of street children in Bolivia and India as well. Anyone who is interested can try to go to these countries and get involved with the work there. There is a similar agency in Kolkata, India called the Hope Foundation that takes care of the street children and has an orphanage where they have children that are either orphans or abandoned. They also have a wonderful clinic system with operating capacities that does emergency care for street people and a neighborhood school.

  • 90% of filipinos are christian, but why r they so corrupted. i'm so sick of what they always try to overcharge to foreigners, even policemen begging for money from tourists.

  • the problem with Filipinos is that they are TOO d*mned religious. the church says "no!" to contraception and family planning, even sex education is banned from schools! This, i think, is the reason why Filipinos just keep on multiplying.

  • @jiancarlo20 of course it should be, because even Pope is only human, not God, state can not become new God, cause God said, do not have other Gods than me, meaning it is dangerous to mix state and God

  • @LegoMasterPibi what?!?!?

  • @ExpertPinoy lol yeah im in uk too, fuck the corruption

  • I used to live like that there when I was young but I had a little more luck than them, so sad :S

  • what a shameful reality... RH Bill should really be implemented...

  • Well u see im a pinoy and the goverment is shit they are so corrupted luckly im in the uk with my family here takimg my education but it makes me sad how the goverment still hasnt done anything about this.

  • @moco806 using a charity VID to attempt to promote your channel.... Now that's low

  • CAN THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS??? WHY IS IT THAT N.G.O.s ALWAYS TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO TRY TO HELP CHILDREN LIKE THESE??? WHAT'S THE GOVERNMENT DOING??? JUST TURNING A BLIND EYE WON'T HELP ALLEVIATE THE SUFFERINGS OF THESE CHILDREN.... COME ON PHILIPPINES (ESPECIALLY THE GOVERNMENT), YOU SHOULD BE THE OBE SPEARHEADING THE ACTION. COULD YOU PLEASE LEAVE THOSE HUMONGOUS PROBLEMS YOU HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SORT OUT IN AGES, BEGIN WITH THE WELFARE AND WELLBEING OF THE ASTRAYED F

  • Many jobs in the philippines are very hard to get most of the most succesfull there were allready from a rich family

  • These children deserve a better home

  • Search Moco 806 on YouTube

  • This is upsetting to see so many children living in these conditions, there should be a website showing ways to help because i know many people would love to.

  • I would like to be part of this charity...it any means or help I can get to give to this kids.If this charity has any site or email to find out more I will gladly to know.

  • mate i need to help em

  • mate i need to help em!

  • I want to help or volunteer at this charity..I just wish that the government will fix itself and more people would stop stealing or corupting the money and make actual good use of it.

  • @singwanlew just shhh. Nobody wants your mean comments.

  • @ktochi297 thats what the parents are doing. You don't know their story, so you can't judge.

  • It isn't the parents fault. It vividly showed that the pArents didn't go to school, so basically they don't even know safe sex or even condoms. And do go on relling me, how should you know? Maybe because i was born there and i am a filipino. Also, im not saying that its not always the parents fault, but mostly it isn't.

  • This is really heart warming, and makes you stop and think about the rest of the world and how you can help them.

  • These children should be an eye opener for European people and should appreciate how lucky they are that everything is provided for them but their children are so lazy to study well and don't even know what the word "respect" means. That teen pregnancy is so high because they know they will have a free house and child benefit from govenment, teenagers themselves who don't even know how t look after themselves so how will you expect that they can look after their own children.

  • At least these children don't go to shops to steal things from hardworking owners; they sell things in the street in order for them to have a bit of money going to school. Like in England most families are in benefits supported by Government but their children do lots of crimes and steal, no respect for their parents and authorities. I think they are the one who should be educated and should take family planning because they can't afford to support their family and let the taxpayers to pay for

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Look at you people saying oh these kid need to be taught these parents should blah blah blah but if you was in their place then you know how would they feel! and YOU people saying that why put their kids in the situation they didn't want to be well.. They're not rich like you white people so obviously they're parents didn't have the chance to be educated and also they are poor.

  • It's true most parts of the Philippines are poor. But the social hierarchy is divided into Upper, Middle and Low/Poor society. Hence the clips of these video. But unfortunately the videos/documentaries other countries show seems unfair as they often show the bad side of the Philippines. Such a shame. But Filipinos are multi talented and had been making name in the Hollywood.

  • I can't believe poor parents can't afford to buy condoms. They should be ashamed to themselves, leaving kids to extreme poverty when the wife got fucked naturally by a skinny hobo. I feel sorry for the children… God will always support them

  • @CysticJI24 You say, they can't afford to buy condoms..

Firstly, in the Philippines, religion is very strong. In most people's views using contraception is a sin. There is actually a huge debate going on about it in the Philippines..

Secondly, a condom costs about 30 pesos (25p-UK).. Because they are poor they wouldn't want to waste that 30pesos just to buy a condom. They'd rather buy food for their family.

  • @burszt08 alright, good to know

  • What people should remember is that the Philippines IS A DEMOCRACY, yet people run down North Korea.... saying all the problems in NK are because it is a dictatorship.... there is NO squalor like this in NK.. i support 5 families in the Philippines in the south for the last 20 years.. the counrty is rich buy corrupt..

  • Im a Filipino and im proud to have Filipino blood, no matter how poor our country is Philippines is still a happy country Not all of us Filipinos struggle with money but not all of us have lots and lots of money. I pray for my family living there and God Bless U all.

  • @Belieber4Ever99 God will one day give to Filipino people what they deserve, i am sure. Good catholic people.

  • parents shouldnt be bringing children to the world if they know they cant take care of them. people need to be educated.

  • parents fault for having more kids when there already in trouble

  • im from philippines and i really hope that our government will watch this video,

and lets see, if they're really managing the country right.

:( i feel sorry for the children.

  • Education and condoms is what these people need, that's it.

  • @iLikeCookie88 a slap is what you need

  • @skatingpaki Are you serious? I wasn't being rude - these problems will never go away unless the people are educated about sex and birth control. Simply handing them food and housing isn't going to solve the problem of over-population and abandoned children.

These parents need to understand that they need to stop having more kids than they can afford.

So no, I don't "deserve a slap" - grow up.

  • @iLikeCookie88 wna kiss ?

  • @iLikeCookie88 so does the rest of the world....

  • @iLikeCookie88 ...and money to buy the condoms.

  • @iLikeCookie88 Problem is that powerful religious cult interests oppose any family planning and insist that there is no such thing as overpopulation.

  • @kiwehtin ...And that is why I hate religion :)

  • @iLikeCookie88 sadly since the Catholic church has such a hold on Filipino's birth control is kind of frowned upon

  • God told us to get multiply through Abraham, but how to get multiply legally? most of these kids are result of "OUT OF MARRIAGE KIDS" ILLEGAL INTERCOURSE, RESULT OF ADULTERY....those committed adultery should be punish just like some Muslim countries did....prostitution in this country is very rampant....

  • i remember going to manila back in 2006 for the first time. i remember seeing kids like this on the streets i felt sorry for them. my mother told me that i should give them some of my change to them, but i asked to give all of my change (which was about 70 pesos or $1.40). she didn't let me and now i feel like i should have.

  • He could not send his children to school, but why does he not sell the gold ring and watch and diamond earing?

  • Even if we're a wholly catholic (at least a religious country, by whatever religion, Islam, Christian, what have you) and science says what I'm about to say next, it's hard to understand how these people could've lost the sense of self-preservation (earning or gaining food and necessities) and preservation (maintaining health of self and offspring) of their kind.

It's supposed to be innate! :c You don't really have to be smart to know you have to care for your own kids and your self.

  • Everytime we drive past children in the streets, they do not beg. They look at us and they probably think that we are rich and very wealthy, but no we are just a normal family in a car travelling. They don't realise that because they don't know what life is like that we live in compared to them we are rich. When we drive past the children on the streets we give some money out in the Philippines. They take it and they shout out thankyou when we drive past. [:

  • @kukelz Why don't you think it's something for this channel? I know it's your opinion but futureshorts is about short films. I'd like to know why you think this doesn't count.

  • i just got back from the philippines. greatest vacation ever. i've learned how to appreciate everthing i have. God bless from USA

  • First Goal: Teach future poor filipino parents "family planning!" LIving inside a jeepney and still managed to have 11 kids?!!!!! WOW!!!!! Common sense people! Why put your kids in a situation you don't wanna be? Doesn't make sense to me at all! So unfair to the kids! Sad indeed!

  • @iprpcp ye but u want atleast one kid to survive. considering they have less of a chance they ...breed more.. and i guess if there are more that survive and the system doesnt change as quickly so they end up in the streets. but atleast its progress

  • @iprpcp The problem is that the Philippines they're 90% Christian, which doesn't believe in unnatural contraception. What you call common sense, these people have never been taught. I bet you had sex ed. Without knowledge of safe sex, contraception, education, and with an economic disadvantage, it creates this unending cycle. Although I agree that family planning should be taught, the Christian values are highly regarded in the Philippines and an abrupt disagreement will cause societal chaos.

  • @flippinfilippino The Reproductive Health Bill (RH Bill) must pass. At first all people in Philippines should be given a chance to adapt birth control. Education and other implementation must follow. There is already a chaos in Philippines. If not for the overseas workers that send money home, I could not imagine how Philippines would be like. I really hope we can take population growth under control in the world.

  • @iprpcp Filipino government is trying to pass a bill for family planning however catholic church in the philippines are against this bill and strongly opposing it. As Philippines is a catholic country with people following what church says it looks like passing and implementing family planning bill looks tough. It is really tragic out there.

  • instead of posting your comments and complaints here. Why don't you put it in action?

  • It just amazes me how Filipinos are bad in math:

    90,000,000 million poor Filipinos.

100 or so families in control of the government, media and business monopolies.

Why can't the 90,000,000 millions defeat the 100?

For the Philippines to be living in such a state of abject poverty in 2011 is beyond me.

  • Modus Operandi of the Philippine Oligarchy...

"let's keep the millions of common Filipinos in the dark; let's dumb them down towards mediocrity; multiply like flies so we have more customers and profits; let them eat cake..."

IT'S TIME FOR A REAL REVOLUTION PEOPLE. WAKE UP.

Oh wait, I forgot, Filipinos are too passive and forgiving. Give them bribe money and a good telenovela with mestizo actors and everything is good.

  • Manila, just voted worst airport in Asia. Supreme Court says Danding Cojuangco shares of San Miguel not ill-gotten...and the usual hopeless headlines about the Philippines continues. This country really is living in the Dark Ages. Sad thing is that the millions of Filipinos are deluded into thinking that life is good and getting better by the media. Time seems to make things worse for the Philippines while the rest of Asia is progressing.

    Philippines, hopelessly devoted to stupidity.

  • can i take some of the child to be mu brother ,,i relly love them //

  • Sweet gorilla of Manila

  • i guess i'm on the side of the RH bill, i hope the CBCP(catholic church) would stay out of this.. against the RH bill..

this is literally the result when the CHURCH is too much involve on the government.

    modern "PADRE DAMASO"

those kids did'nt asked for that kind life but they've got no choice.. the best way for this is the RH bill to raise awareness, contraciptives

CBCP stay out of this let the philippine government do their job!

  • I think people should STOP thinking of them selfs and help the children of Manila. I would Like to help them if i could go there. please ask your government of your country to help the children of manila Philippines by funding them.

thankyou for your support in this sad time's we live in.

    my e-mail address is alunadamson@yahoo.co.uk

  • Will the world ever do something about this? I

  • This video makes the kids in the Torgny - Big Day video look like a bunch of spoiled little brats.

  • the rich are getting richer while the poor, well... it's heartbreaking

  • the movie director completely avoids the cause that these children were conceived in the first place - rampant Catholicism, lack of education about contraceptive use and access to contraceptives.

  • i hate watching videos like this,it makes me tear up.the world is fucked up.i love my people!! filipinos stand up!!

  • @r00tsmedia corrupt mga opisyales natin

  • I've got news for you. (As if you didn't already know.) No matter whom you put up there as your leader or president, it will be the same banana. Even a holy man can turn into another J. E. (Judas Escariot) for a few pieces of silver. Kumpares, alalays, relatives and cronies will encrust like flies and maggots on his cordon sanitaire. And it will be the same despicable "Sa amin na 'to!" hullabaloo all over again.

  • Take an advice from Aling Epang: "Pumili ng matanda, mayaman, mabait, at madaling mamatay." Get a president who is old - so that he is full of wisdom, rich - so he won't need to steal more money, goodhearted

  • so he will render heartfelt service to his people, and is in the sunset of his life - so that he will think of nothing but gaining good points to present when he meets his Creator. And may I add: At iisa lang ang pamilya! This is, of course, asking for the moon. Just pray fervently for an intelligent leader with a pure heart who genuinely loves the common tao!

  • Magpakatotoo Kayo! Wake up and look at the real you. Enough with looking at your reflection in glorious, self-embellishing mirrors. The tropical sun can play tricks, you know. Do not wait for darkness to fall before you take that much-needed long, hard look at your real situation. Magpakatotoo kayo, ano? This isn't a wake-up call-it is the final alarm!

  • Save the ship while you still can. Don't wait till your people have no more dreams left to hang on to, no more hope to sustain their broken spirits. I came home, spent my penny-pinched savings so that even in the minutest way I could help your bruised economy. Your politicians sit on their fat, farting butts and get balatos (kuno!) in the millions. Receivers are as guilty as the givers. Now, tell me, who is really nasty?

  • @kukelz i agree. however, i think futureshorts is doing a good thing in sponsoring this video.

i consider myself a child of manila, but not in the same sense as these children here. i grew up in the city and never realized what a comparatively privileged life i led until i moved to canada. especially now that i'm in a first world country...it's really eye-opening. i want to come back to manila, see it with new eyes, meet these children, hear their stories and help them somehow.

  • WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD!? why the fuck do NGOs and militaries (anyone who don't understand the NEED for poverty knows EXACTLY who I'm talking) have to wait until a natural disaster kills & displaces a googleplex of people in order for them to start a few shitty schools in some back alley rat-nest!?!? why don't 'they' establish a synarchy with power between a big monopoly company for welfare and an army for protection? Uncle Sam, wall street, & celebritys should stop bullying & grow a pair!!

  • So many people and things keep asking for help for everything when some of us can't even help ourselves. Every part of Earth is suffering from todays economics, yet people keep asking us for the help. Why? We're indebted as is. If every place has this type of poorness at least somewhere in it and it's not getting better throughout all the charity donations, you have to ask yourself, where's all the money going?

  • if u don't want the children then don't bring them to this world,

    Fucking Pig

  • education and condoms.. poor unwanted children..

  • This reminds me of the time I've spent in Chinese elementary schools. It's a humbling reminder that the majority of the world population doesn't live the way I do in the US.

  • spawning is out of control? Look at China, admirable how they took care of that problem

  • The Filipino's are not sending children to prison but in an orphan.. what they called DSWD..

  • I earn 7000 Php/160 UsD each month I willingly donate 2000 Php/45 UsD to the "Bantay Bata 163" an orphanage just like the PJC, the amount of money may be a bit small in other countries but Here in the Philippines every Peso counts, so if you do find yourself with a little extra why not share a bit with the less fortunate, specially the children.

  • Oh wow, I live and was born in Manila :P

  • kebanyakan anak sampe ilang2an gitu

  • Man......

It's really hard to just ignore these kinds of things knowing that stuff like this happens everyday while more fortunate people just blow their money away.

  • We can't just enjoy fiction shortfilms, I think it's great to be aware real situations too.

  • We can't just enjoy fiction shortfilms, I think it's great to ve aware real situations too.

  • this is life in the philippines cuz i live on the philippines i know what it feels like

  • thx for the upload

  • why are they still fucking if they can barely afford to feed 1 kid...?

  • @SmokeyCough In nature animals (including humans) will keep breeding to have at least one child that will survive as the weak will die young.

  • @SmokeyCough the easy one. fucking is free [exclude child rearing cost] when they have no money for entertainment. xD alright. the problem with developing countries is that people lack old age securities. and government don't provide them that unlike in developed countries. so these parents believe they should make as many children as possible so at least one of their children will take care of them at old age. there are a tons of reasons to answer your question.

  • @SmokeyCough good question

  • Please see my comments on the black background of your channel on this. So how much money does 2753 views get the cause? Dismal!

  • Thanks for making this movie. So sad but we need to have awareness.

  • @eibhrum oh.. i'm think i've heard Munika before though..

    must be bisaya.. o3o

  • They definitely shouldn't be putting children in prison, that's horrible. It broke my heart to see children barely clothed and swimming in water full of trash. I'm glad the Papa John's Center provides a place for them to stay

  • I like the Movie trailer advertisement.

  • Maybe if you do not like the advocacy of the video, try watching it in a technical perspective, like how they sequence the clips or the way directed it... or something...

  • I think this is the perfect place for someone to express and show a part of the world that is part of their heart.

  • In stead if arresting the children, place them in the home. It would have been a stronger argument to show the children in prison.

  • when the lady asked the girl "what's this?"

she said "Munika" which means doll..

and she says it's "bear" when asked to say it in English.

so she probably thinks the English for Munika(doll) is bear.. oO

  • @Johannady It's actually 'manika'.

  • They need to be educated, there's budget for this but those who are leading this country is corrupt at its core, stealing the money that should be alloted for poor people. And also, there's a lot of families in Manila which were not originally living there, they came from the province of Visayas and Mindanao, thinking that when they migrated to Manila they will find a job, hence overpopulated.

  • @saattchi true actually. I'm from the Philippines and I'm studying in at a university in Manila, and because of everything that you said everything is getting worse.

  • i am a filipino, and this made me realize a lot of things in this country...

  • my family lives there, my mom was lucky to have been in a lotto that my grand father put her in when she was little so that she could come to the us, she left everything behind to come here including her family of 7 other siblings and tons of aunts, uncles, and cousins. she went to school while working 3 jobs, 2 of them were to pay for school and 1 room in a shared housing area and the 3rd job was so she could send money to help my family over there and this was over 40 years ago, this is so sad

  • Comment removed

  • How the f*ck do they loose children?! Put some sort of a dog tag on them with a name and adress so they can be brought back or smthng..

  • It is good to raise awareness, but i dont think it is something for this channel.

  • @kukelz Actually i think it is! videos like this is really good

  • @SHAMPO95 Sure it is good, but is not a SHORT. Its more like.. a documentary. Compare it to the rest of the content and you will know what i mean ;)

  • @kukelz It's good to be polite, but I don't think you deserve it. You are pathetic.

Awareness and sympathy is something for everybody and everywhere.. Even you.

  • @psychobabba You are mistaken. Having an opinion / a discussion = good. What you do however, trolling the internet = pathetic. And not the other way around. Good day sir.

  • @kukelz I am not a politically correct viewer sir.. trolling in youtube videos, fill the days of my empty life. And funny / music videos are more important for you, than real life. Totally pathetic..

  • @psychobabba It is alright you have also an opinion, you can just make a normal discussion without the calling / offence. If you have a good point that is fine, bring it in. But if you do it like a troll, people will not respect you. I have a good point, you have one: no problem. You see?

  • @psychobabba Your "pathetic" coment was a blatant troll. Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @xHuntedGunzPCGx get a life now mate!! is much more fascinating than looking for "trolls".... Life is not that fascinating for children in Manila, but still you can search for "funny pet videos"...

  • @psychobabba You call someone pathetic because they don't think it is 100% appropriate to upload a "short" like that...now you tell me to get a life when clearly we know who is in the wrong with 2 strikes against them.

  • @xHuntedGunzPCGx Ok! You have to excuse my ignorance, noble sir.. I thought that other people's problems are not a "short" to fit in the "proper" youtube channel.. Is something that people should know, and act in every possible way... Strike me more if that makes you feel right

  • @kukelz He'll do what he wants. :D

  • @kukelz well it is a short film is it not?

  • @kukelz

Where do you think would be more appropriate? On a channel that is already preaching to the converted? On a channel that those who are aware of the problems already know where to look? Or perhaps on a venue that the majority of viewers are not exposed to such heartbreaking serious matters that occur daily throughout our planet? ... This is how awareness happens.

  • @graemelockieable Good point. But the fact of the matter is that people get overexposed. People get a little numb by all this good causes day in day out. It is very hard to get people so far that they reach for their wallet nowadays. That is not what you want.

  • @kukelz

I agree. And it's not from the perspective of the Filipinos themselves; we're depicted in this way that makes us look pitiful and impoverished that we can't even help ourselves.

  • @immolatingmonk I never thought about it from that perspective, but that is an interesting point you make there.

  • you know nothing about short films fagget.

  • @kukelz I agree, but FutureShorts is more into the art of cinematography. From a filming standpoint, this is very well done.
