@fortinrose1 I respectfully disagree. I think the media has distorted love with lust, thus confusing the general masses perception of "love". The problem lies within, in people, and their view and expectations of love. Once "we" understand that the core of true love involves commitment and sacrifice, then you begin to see love through a completely different lense enabling you to fully embrace it.
@fortinrose1 The media (i.e., TV, movies, music, internet, commercials) brainwashes us into thinking no one is good enough for us; to not settle down; to not marry; to be promiscuous. All this does is instill fear and doubt in long-term committed relationships and/or the institution of marriage.
@fortinrose1 If you build your relationship on looks, money, sex, etc., then you're almost certain to fail. However, if the foundation of your relationship lies on love (i.e., respect, faithfulness, sacrifice), then you have a significantly higher chance of staying together, as the foundation doesn't lie on looks or money (things that come and go) but rather on love--which is eternal.
Sorry for my rant! Btw, Ram is my fav Macca album and "Heart of the Country" is one of my favs! :)
colour version! That's great! I love this video, and I love this song most than any other Paul's songs. I just can't help it, for me, it's the most brilliant!
There was some real love between them. You could've never even heard of them before and had seen them for the first time and you would know. They were a beautiful couple. It's such a shame the Linda had to die in such a cruel way. She was really the only beatle wife I had respect for, even though John's my favorite. Rip John, George, and Linda. Btw, Paul looks so good on a horse!!!
This is just a lovely video. Paul is such a family man - I think that's one reason why I'm so pro-Paul. This is such a fun, light, boppy and homespun song. I love the images it evokes and Paul's fun "improvs" during the song makes a good thing even better. It's always time for Paul.
This is so great. What a beautiful song! The love they shared was real. I'm sure Paul still thinks of Lovely Linda now, and how much he misses her. They truely were perfect for eachother but sadly all things must come to an end. Linda, we miss you!
Have always loved this song but it's the first time I've seen this video. Delightful to see them together like that. I loved it 'cos it had such a jazz feel.
Such a beautiful relationship! I love Linda and thought that she was truely meant for Paul but I still daydream about having Paul all to myself! Anyone else agree?
"Heart of the Country" is a song written by Paul and Linda McCartney from their album Ram released in 1971. The song has simple acoustic tune with a heavy bass chorus. The topic is as simple as the title, a man searching for a farm in the middle of nowhere.
