Guild Wars FoW Forest Solo Ranger Farm

So i've got a ranger with the FoW farming build yea, made him tonight n the build works great, but what items am I actually spose to be farming? lol

@10fingerlimit It's mostly just for Obsidian Shards, but these days you generally pretty much just get a large amount of merchable junk.

I have tried farming the forest with a similar build, but I have some trouble getting past the skeletons at the entrance to the planes. The eles keep deep freezing me, which gets me killed fairly quickly.

Is this the new update that makes it impossible to get past? I see you just run past them, how is that possible?

I think it mostly depends on the spawn you get really, I was kind of lucky here. I had a few runs where I did get hit by the skeletons deep freeze but I'd try to make sure I was as far away from the sorcerers as possible.

When I got hit I'd walk away from them and then use Dodge/Zojun's Haste when Deep Freeze's effect was almost gone. Most of the times I'd be able to be out of range before they'd cast another Deep Freeze.

Not sure if the latest updates changed this though.

Thanks for the advice. It must depend on spawns, because a few times I got there and the shadows and skeles started fighting. So I just ran right past. But all the other times They camped right at the bottem of the hill, so it was pretty tough to get by.

I believe it was one of the battle themes from Babylon 5: Into The Fire. The game itself was never released but the soundtrack appeared at some point, there's about an hour of music and most of it's quite pretty!

Aaaand after checking again, it was actually the extended main theme of that game rather than a battle theme, but still pretty!

Second song was the underwater music from Donkey Kong Country 2 for SNES.

Can u post the templete code or attributes/runes. This build works great too, i usually go with my buddy(600 monk) he takes his area and i go to forests this way we clear a lot of it.

I used Fraps to record it and Sony Vegas 8.0 to put everything together and get the little HD button.

wow, you must have used 4k 16;9 and rendered it as 8 Mbps 1080-30p. i bet it took you 2 days to render this. lol. i'm running vegas 9.0

Actually, an altered version of the standard 720p setting that renders at 1024x768 and 30fps, it took about 45 minutes. :D

wow nice. how large was the file after you rendered it? it would take me about an hour and a half to render an 8:24 video. my vegas runs very slow.

Think I might start using a similar build myself than the old prophecies one I still use.

I think Read the Wind would do nicely in that build of yours; you wont miss a shot when fighting the skeletons and your damage would be all pew pew! That and flatbows already have a nice attack rate.

Yeah you're probably right. Fortunately the skeletons are silly silly so there's no real danger, ever, but it's probably even easier with superfast pew pew arrows yeshyesh. :3
