  • Anyone else think it sounds like the oompa loompa song?

  • This is like posting a wasn't Hitler hot page. Do you know how many tens of thousands 'vanished' during what was a very brutal regime. The billions that were syphoned out of the country into Swiss bank accounts? But she was glam right? Geez

  • @aavauxhall What a ridiculous comment. Comparing Evita to Hitler is laughable. Have you bothered researching the real woman? I would rather have people base their knowledge from actual historians/scholars & not from a biased, inaccurate musical? I would love to read the sources that state Evita was responsible for the atrocities commited by the state police. Even Mary Main who wrote the vitriolic "Women with the Whip" stated "there is no proof".

  • @EnzFab73 I know this is 1 year later, but I've just started reading Mary Main's book and 'vitriolic' is exactly the word I would use. I've also read another, more impartial Evita biography.

I think the controversy surrounding Evita is very simply that she took (some) from the rich, kept some for herself, and gave the rest to the poor, so the rich hate her and the poor love her (and they didn't mind that she kept some for herself).

In my book that makes her admirable.

  • @aavauxhall CONT: And the "thousands" you talk about. Well that would come AFTER Eva Peron as per the historical evidence & much was commited by non Peronists administrations. Crying foul and comparing a woman who did much for women, the poor, the elderly & children in a Latin American country to a mass murderer of MILLIONS of Jews, Gays, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies etc.. is rather ignorant and yes, she was "glam" and as Tim Rice wrote "had style in spades".

  • What I admire en Evita was her desireof helping poor people, about politics is always two sides to the history

  • i think all comments here are not concrete since we ddnt exist during her time, all we heard are hearsays, fakes and lies, we dont know the reality..we need to travel to time to get the real info and share it to all...viva los todos amigos

  • Is it true that Eva once said "I Have never in my life known a day's happiness?" If this is true, that may explain why she settled for power.

  • I hate how this GoddessofCoruscant person ruins your great videos with all this whining. STFU and let people enjoy the beauty of this woman !

  • @Miketayfan why censor? Shouldn't this be a give and take on how people feel about Eva or is this supposed to be a shrine to her? Given that you've blocked me I find it hypocritical, but since you prescribe to the Peron style of 'freedom of speech' I'm not surprised.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant I think some people are bothered by you because you go on every video of Eva and state the same thing over and over. We get that you don't like her, but instead of moving on you keep coming back to argue with those who do like her. We get your point but most of us disagree with you. You say the Peron's pushed their agenda on people and that it was wrong but arent you guilty of the same thing when your pushing your opinions on people who don't want them?

  • @evitascarlett if you don't want my opinion on Eva, then don't read it! No one is forcing you to read my comments. Just ignore me! And given that I do not have the power the Perons had, your comparision is laughable.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant The comparision had nothing to do with power it was about attitude, you missed the point completly. Secondly I dont know you well enough to hate you all though I think it safe to say I wouldnt like you and that isnt because of your opinion of Eva but because of your attitude and negativity. Third its hard not to read your comments when they're everywhere anyone goes that involves Eva.My point was we get how you feel on the topic so why dont you move on to something else now?

  • @evitascarlett my negativity? You obviously don't know me at all then. The reason I am against Eva is that I am for democracy, freedom, and women's rights, everything she stood against, so maybe that's why you think I have an attitude. And if the owners of the Evita videos don't like my comments, then they can censor me, block me, and delete them! And if you want negativity, how about one of the Peronists who told me I deserve to be raped simply because I'm white and American?

  • @GoddessofCoruscant I'm sorry but I don't believe she was against the things you listed especially women's rights because if she was against that she would've stayed out of politics herself. I believe you have an attitude from the way you act towards others,as to the comment you mentioned I didn't see it and no that person shouldn't have said it but you bring alot of these arguments on yourself with the way you constanly come on these videos to bash this woman.

  • @evitascarlet People are sometimes hypocrites. And if Eva was for freedom, why did she shut down newspapers that spoke out against her. As for the comment, scroll through the comments on the Renuncamiento de Eva Peron video. It's there. And how fucking dare you tell me I deserved that! NO WOMAN DESERVES TO BE RAPED OR EVEN THREATENED WITH RAPE!

  • @GoddessofCoruscant I in NO Way said you deserved to be raped no one deserves that in fact I said the comment was wrong if youd be calm and read it correctly youd see that what I stated was that you bring ARGUMENTS on yourself with your attitude you act like your better than everyone and have superior knowledge like your the only one capable of sudying. Your attitude puts people off that was my point. Being a woman myself I would never condone rape and don't act like I did. Now its over.

  • @evitascarlett since you believe I deserve to be threatened with rape simply because I do not admire your 'Santa Evita', this conversation is finished!

  • @GoddessofCoruscant I tried to message you to offer an apology for any misunderstanding that my comment caused but your settings would not allow me to so I will offer you my apology here. I don't condone rape and whoever made that comment was wrong. In the future I will keep my thoughts on any comments you make that bother me to myself. That way we can ignore each other and get along fine. Again I apologize if you misunderstood. I hope you accept my apology but if you dont at least I offered it

  • @GoddessofCoruscant cont: I think a lot of us wonder why you even keep watching videos of Eva when you have such an intense dislike of the woman. Shouldn't you watch something you enjoy? I believe Enzfab73 made these videos as a tribute to Evita and in my opinion a tribute means remembering the good, and despite what you believe she did do good things. Evita had enough detractors in life she doesn't need more now that she's gone and can't defend herself.

  • @evitascarlett I think this woman has more than enough defenders. I have my opinion of Eva, you have your view of her as 'Santa Evita.' I'm just as entitled to speak my mind as you are. Look, if you hate me so much for disliking your 'Santa Evita' just ignore me! Like I said, no one is forcing you to read my comments!

  • @GoddessofCoruscant I have my own channel and I don't need to have riot act on my Evita videos. I need to find people from whom I can learn some facts about Evita that are interesting for me. You must have been blocked simply for some riot you did.

Say it once, you have the right to your opinion of course but stop running around every Evita video and state the same things over and over. We get it you consider her thief and tyrant okay ? We consider her beautiful and inspiring woman. Move on.

  • @Miketayfan I didn't ''riot' on your videos. I stated my opinion, and since you cannot handle it, you blocked me. As for a 'beautiful and inspiring woman' if you consider someone who helped take a country from first to third world status your role model, to each his own, I guess, but there are far more admirable women who did a lot more for the world than this one, such as the suffragettes of the USA and other women rulers who rode to power WITHOUT their husbands.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant You are becoming a nuisance & get off your high horse because there are others who have researched her more than you & have different opinions. We get it, you hate Eva Peron. Now move on in life. I have not trolled any of your videos & it is obvious not everyone shares your views. Good grief.

  • @EnzFab73 & Argentina was far from first world.. it may have been rich but the squalor, distributions of wealth, corruption (yes this existed before the Perons), diseases, political instabilty...was overwhelmingly bad in Argentina. Anyone who has thoroughly researched this should KNOW this. The Anti-Peronist love to mention Argentina was rich prior to Peron yada yada yada..but the reality for most of the people was different.

  • @EnzFab73 CONT And you should know not to take a musical or a Hollywood movie as a history lesson. This would be like taking my opinions of your precious Anne Boleyn from THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL & label her as a cold, ambitious, vain, perverted trollop for wanting to sleep with her brother... yuck. After all thats what the film portrayed. We are a little selective in our bias. Well Maryssa Navara, Joseph Page, Robert Crassweller you ain't. Cheers.

  • @Miketayfan and physical appearance alone is not enough to make a person admirable. Susan B. Anthony was not a looker, but she did more for women's rights than Evita ever did. And I have something to say to Enzfab-- at least you allow debates on your videos, unlike other Peronistas.

  • Eva was a fascinating woman, love her or hate her. She wasn't a saint but she wasn't the embodiment of evil, that tile should belong to the likes of Idi Amin, Hitler, etc. She was human and had good and bad qualities. She did a lot of good but also did bad things.

    Thanks for this!

  • @ChristineTheHippie I agree that she wasn't the embodiment of evil, however, IMO, the bad she did outweighs the good. And myself, as a woman's rights activist, I find the things she said about feminists to be offensive, when feminists in my country were jailed, and some even tortured, to get women basic human rights, especially the vote! TBC.

  • @ChristineTheHippie And she spat on it, and told women their place was in the home, like it didn't matter. She only gave women the vote to get extra votes for Peron, without any regard for women's equality

  • @GoddessofCoruscant As far as women's equality, that wasn't near happening anywhere, remember you can't judge a person by modern standards, you have to look at their time (not saying I agree, just saying that's how it was then). She was very cruel to people who didn't like her, I agree ther All of Latin America was a dictatorship and was ran that way, it wasn't just Argentina. What you think of her though IS a matter of opinion.

  • @ChristineTheHippie thank you for disagreeing with me in a calm, collected manner. But some countries were ahead of others in that time, like USA. For example, women in the USA had the vote-- most Spanish speaking countries had not granted women the vote, with the exceptions of Uruguay and Spain. Also, USA is still very ahead of Latin America when it comes to women's rights now. Just saying.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant And Canada to that list, but genereally it was still viewed as woman was in the home. In Argentina now, women are still largely at home with the family but there family is a main social unit, so it's an important role. Yeah, most English speaking did have women's suffragette

  • @ChristineTheHippie yes. I still view it as extremely sexist though, since it confines and traps women to one role, and one role only. The idea of women's liberation hasn't caught on in Latin America, and I don't think it ever will

  • @GoddessofCoruscant we can go on debating her forever. I find her fascinating.

Oh, and my heroes? I like the humanitarians like Mandela, I do respect Queen Elizabeth I too, she had a very tough job being queen. As for Eva, she doesn't rank my "Good list", but as I said, I won't put her on my bad list since I save that for the likes of Hitler.

  • @ChristineTheHippie Nowadays in Argentina most women work. In fact, there are more women at University than men. And I know that because I'm Argentinian.

  • @LaZurdaNirvanera I didn't know that! What would you say that's due to?

  • @GoddessofCoruscant Staying at home is a luxury that most women can't afford in Argentina. Taxes are high and prices raise all the time.

  • @LaZurdaNirvanera ah yes, that makes sense. Same as in the USA, but for different reasons. USA is doing well, even with the recession, although I can't find a job.

  • @ChristineTheHippie also, this is off topic, but I love your Anakin Skywalker video-- hope YT doesn't remove it.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant Thanks! I hope so to, you're welcome to comment!

  • @GoddessofCoruscant And I was just saying that I think she's very interesting. As far as being a fan, I like the good that she did do, but there are people I can think of who I admire more. However, I appreciate your thoughts, and thank you for also stating your opinion without bashing or being rude as some people do.

  • @ChristineTheHippie who do you admire more? My heroes are stated in my profile.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant And how do you know that, did you know Evita personally? How do you know what she was thinking? Are you some kind of mindreader? Probably not. Thanks to Evita, Argentina had more women in politics that probably any other nation & her quote "when a woman enters politics the man can eat cold stew" doesn't confirm your statement.

  • @EnzFab73 I guess we never will know the whole truth about her... But I've read her statements about women's rights and I find them despicable, considering how feminists in my part of the world were jailed, and some even tortured to get women the vote.

  • I did a lot of research on Evita's Life, viewed videos, read articles, went into Large City Library's, into their archives and I found out that Evita Duarte De Peron was a woman with great vision. I'm not saying that the entire Government or Peronism was, is or would be the greatest thing today, but in her behalf she made a promise to herself and then to her country. The poor the downtroden or what was called the Descamisados would have to suffer the same fate that she her self suffered .

  • @evaperonsuclks you cannot compare George Washington and Che. George Washington was born out of an Anglo Protestant culture, Che was born out of a Spanish Catholic culture. The two cultures are diametrically opposed.

  • You'd think it would be illegal for a politician to be that pretty...

  • @icebear1946 Imelda Marcos was pretty too. So was Elizabeth Tudor.

  • for the love of god! i saw again here ANGEL FACE

  • I think she looked very pretty as brunette but blond hair gave her that unique look. One has to know she had a very white, pocelain like skin and it matched blond hair perfectly.

The inspiration came from Norma Shearer and Lana Turner. Eva wanted to be a blond like them. Hairdresser Julio Alcaraz dyed her hair. After Europe trip she asked him for much more lighter shade due to advice given her by the late Christian Dior, who she met in Paris. She also started to wear more modest clothes.

  • En Argentina, muchas mujeres locas por ocultar sus rasgos indígenas y se tiñen y se blanquean que da risa.

  • @DonBoyso Eva Peron bleached her hair blonde for a movie role in 1944 and everyone agreed that it complemented her and therefore she kept it. I do not think that she bleached her hair blonde to hide her indiginous looks and also condsidering her modelling portfolio consists of mostly glamour shots as Eva as a brunette. Not to mention Eva's skin was naturally porcelean white so there are other factors to consider.

  • @EnzFab73

To give you a little insight the reason Evita did bleache her hair blonde was for her modeling career but kept it that way because of General Juan Peron. He was fascinated with women with porcelain complexion and blondes. Juan Peron's second wife Isabelle was a brunette also but changed to Blonde for him.

  • @MrJohnkellett actually, Peron had three wives. His first wife was a woman named Aurelia Tizon, or Potota. She died in 1938. And Isabel is a brunette in all the photos and footage I've seen of her. But I do believe you.

  • @evaperonfan i find it odd that his first wife died of the same cancer as evita

  • @DonBoyso En Argentina y en todos los paises de America latina.

  • I think she looked better with the dark hair. I don't know why she changed it.

  • The First Lady of Argentina is immortal, flawless and devine!

The Aragons disliked her greatly because she wasn't from a fine aristocratic family!

I believe they were jelous of Eva Peron because the poor and middle class of Argentina praised her and even considered her a Saint! I saw an exhibit of Eva Perons gowns and dresses at The Bowers Museum a few years back; they are gorgeous and lush; she wasn't afraid of colour either. A very Latin Trait!

  • Tis true people! Che was a murderer and a traitor!

  • I hate this musical. It's so disrespectful to Evita and it glorifies the murderer Che.

  • oh, who thumbed me down? Che was a murderer! Just look it up!

  • @evaperonfan i agree that the movie makes evita look like she just slept her way to the top. btw che guevara wasnt even known of during evitas lifetime. the movie is a lie

  • Great song and great work with the montage thank you very much

  • i love eva peron ive watched so many documentaries about her i hope to play her one day in evita that wud be my dream!:)

  • after all i do believe that what she did was very good, both to her husband or to her people. she used her power to help others, and yes she is NOT a saint. that is why she took revenge over her enemies. every one of us will do the same, even myself. she was a human after all.

  • I'll put those political disputes aside for a while I hope... She was the most beautiful woman of her times but also, Dear God her hairdresser, Julito Alcaraz was a true maestro ! Those rolls ! I love Evita's early 40 - ties look.

  • EVA Brown and Hitler love for ever.

EVA DUARTE and Peron love for ever.

Americans, iguess you are the mayority here. This person was and is the simbol of a regime wich was facist. Take note that the extirior visits of this goverment where focused on FACIST Spain. This whoman sent people to destroy churches, schools, clubs ext. When peron took over the first time the goverment was rich. when he left it was poor and in debet. Raidios, cinimas, newspapers gazests and other press where closed.

  • Your comments are inaccurate. The church burnings you refer too occurred after Eva Peron's death in 1955. Juan Peron was in confrontation with the Catholic Church at that point, which is admittedly unusual. I've never understood that. But Eva Peron played no part. She was dead. Please see my video "Eva Peron was not fascist." Peronism was not fascism.

  • Ok so acording to you shuting down radios and press is absolutly democratic i see. Facist and anti semetisem are un related topics. You are mistaiking it with nazim. Declearing a person president before elections is also democratic in your would. My grand father was arested because he pulblicly pecefuly demonstated against peronisem. Reporters and editors where sent to jail, as political enimies. In spanish the tranditional book for children lerning to read starts "I love my mother" In peronisem

  • it became "I love evita" IN SCHOOLS!! Is that insane? They chenged the name of two provences La Pampa to Evita and El Chaco to Presidente Juan domingo Peron. Imagin if your president in canda changes the name of Alberta and it becomes Stephen Harper?? Besides slogans such as "Alpargatas si Libros no" (alpargata is a cheap foot wear) The translation "Alpargatas yes, Books NO" They oposed univercity students "thats when grapa got arested" Besides the fact that the boss of Aushwitz came here.

  • It was insane for people who didn't love Evita. For people who did love Evita, it was fine. All nations have indoctrination regarding political leaders. Places are renamed all the time in honor of leaders, in all parts of the world. I lived on Martin Luther King Jr BLVD. My sister lives in Washington state. And escaped Nazis went to Argentina and other places as well. But, again, it's perhaps best that I not have a dialogue with such a hostile person.

  • Argentina is so influenced by the facism taht they judge themselves better than anybody else in south america, or even the world...

I'm brazilian and I can say for a fact that we don't compare our dictators to semi-gods! in fact, we are very shamed of that time in our history! all south america suffered in the hands of dictators, but everyone is ashamed of the past. only the argentina people are so proud of a monster who killed and destroyed their country!

  • Juan Peron was democratically elected in three clean elections. He gave women the right to vote. He enfranchised the workers and the poor. He served in office from 1946 until 1955, and for nine months from 1973 until 1974. Peronism was sometimes authoritarian, but it wasn't fascism. It was the military dictatorships that overthrew Peron that kills thousands, not Juan Peron. Even anti-Peronists would argue your point that their country was destroyed. "Fascist" is an anti-Peronist epithet.

  • @felipecbotelho It takes more than one woman to ruin a country. If you believe she was the sole source of argentina's woes than you obviously never studied the economic sitution and corruption that permeated Argentina & its politics PRIOR to the Perons. Argentine chaos & corruption dates back decades before the world knew of a bejewelled blond named Eva Peron...anyone who ignores that is only fooling themselves.

  • @evitastories

I wrote to you on your site I hope you receive it and can answer a question for me. I'm looking for the movie Evita starring Faye Dunaway and find it no where. I hope you can help me out.

    Thanks

  • @MrJohnkellett the Faye Dunaway movie is on youtube, I think, unless it was removed by those copyright cops...

  • @evaperonfan Thank you so much evaperonfan for responding. I did look for the Faye Dunaway movie on youtube I think they took it off. I was wondering where to purchase it. If you know I would really appreciate it. You really Wowed me with your knowledge of Juan Peron's wives. I would really love to continue our discussions on Evita and that era. Hope to hear from you again. Thanks.

  • @MrJohnkellett I don't know of any place to purchase it, unfortunately, I'm very sorry. I love Evita, even if I'm a little hard on her on some comments of mine. I just don't think she was completely an angel. I admire her for the good she did for the poor and for women's rights, but I think she also did some bad stuff as well. Her husband, though, I have very little respect for. You have to go to Argentina, though, to really see Evita's legacy, especially for women.

  • @MrJohnkellett also, the reason I'm not a big fan of Peron is this-- he treated Eva very badly while she was dying. I've read various biographies of her, some for her, some against her, but all agree that Peron was not at his best when it came to Eva's death. He basically ignored her in private even th ough she basically worshipped him. Sad really.

  • @evaperonfan thank you so much for your correspondence and for your wonderful knowledge of their regime, but didn't Juan Peron bestow the highest honor and decoration to Eva on her death bed and did she not receive a presidential funeral. I understand that their love was not a conventional one but I feel it was love just the same.

  • @MrJohnkellett yes, he did. However, that was in public. In private he basically ignored her, he was more distant. In one biography I've read of her, she dragged herself to his room one night and he ordered the servants to take her away. Makes me sick.

  • @evaperonfan So basically your saying for all the things she did for him and all of the accomplishments that she suffered through in his behalf he didn't love her? I did discover that she was not as sexual as the play and movies protrayed her to be. She was more business then pleasure ( sort of speak) am I correct on that information? and I understand that Juan had other concubines during their marriage.

  • @MrJohnkellett yes i think that eva and peron maybe did not have a intamate relationship but i do think that juan cared for and loved eva very much and when she died it killed him emotionally.

  • @evaperonfan I also agree with you that their regime was not the be all end all of any Government. But I still have a great respect for someone who believed that the women and the working class people should be heard along with other things that she created for the people in their Country. I surly wouldn't want to mess with her that is for sure. I must say she grew strength out of fear. Keep those thoughts coming

  • @MrJohnkellett well, yes. What they did for women and the working class was great.

  • Given the insulting private message you sent me wherein you referred to Eva Peron as a "bitch" and made other disgusting comments, I am probably unwise to even respond to your comments. I forgive you because, at least according to your profile, you're only 18-years-old. (Then again, not all 18-year-olds are fowl mouthed.) This is for other readers: Peronism was not fascism. There is repression in all governments. I don't agree with everything that was done, but history is history.

  • Hi, Andrew ! How are you ? You are again Evita's defender ! In Argentina there are a lot of people that know about you. We, the "descamisados" send our congratulations ! Excuse me, i push the icon hand down ! I am stupid ! LOL !

  • Muchas gracias! Thank you very much!

  • Comment removed

  • What a beautiful lady she was. Thank you for this lovely montage, and excellent choice of song! :)

  • she looked fantastic when she was blonde...Evita para siempre..and can i add som..ur video is fantastic..but i prefer Madonna's version of this song from the movie..is more like..gentle to present some photos...Anyway well done

  • Plase make more vids enzfab! off to write now!

  • Wonderful!

  • but it's fun to see them- it makes me laugh when I have so little to laugh at in my life :(

  • She looks pissed at :38.

  • Evita's wonderful work??? If you are ignorant and poor and I give you 1.00.0000 you will love me forever, but I am really helping you? What will happen after you stupidly waste them? Argentina was great before they rech the power. Of course they love them as you will love the genius that exist inside Alladins Lamp.

  • that's very true. Eva fooled a lot of people. I like the fact she gave women the vote, but that's about all.

  • Sorry but I have researched Evita far too much to know that she did A LOT more than just hand out money. U can write a book on her accomplishments alone. Very interesting how anyone can brush aside the hundreds of welfare establishments & homes that were set up as well as improved healthcare that benefitted the country as a whole. Try researching the statistics as to how many died of malnutrition & cholera prior to Evita & compare them to during Eva's reign.

  • CONT- A member of the opposition intelligently stated ""Had we done for the poor a tiny fraction of what Eva has done there never would have been a Peron & she would still be a bad actress."

At least that Oligarca was intelligent enough to give her credit & also admit the decent chartitable works & welfare establishments missing in Argentina prior to Eva's arrival.

  • don't you find it hypocritical that she dressed herself in jewels and focused on the material world, and not the spiritual while claiming to 'help' the poor of Argentina? 'do not store up for treasures on earth, where moths will decay them, but store up for treasures in Heaven.' and where are her establishments now? the fact that they were destroyed was God's judgment on Eva's hypocrisy. Anyone with all that wealth is not favoured by God.

  • First get your facts straight sweetie. Not all of her establishments were destroyed. There are several still standing including the thousands of homes her foundtation built between 1947-1952. Try reading a book.

Secondly, you of all people shouldn't be calling anyone a hypocrite. If you are a real Christian than you should know that the Almighty himself is the only one who can judge humanity. Didn't Jesus's teachings teach you anything?

  • I think your post was excellent, Tabugirl. I am currently writing a textbook (on fashion, actually, not Argentine politics!) but have a section about Eva Peron (and how she used fashion 'politically'). As a consequence, I did a lot of research on her, and came away by concluding that she was certainly NOT a saint...but neither was she entirely a sinner. There were sectors of society she genuinely cared DEEPLY about. She was not 'evil', IMO..just complex.

  • ITA there was something different about Eva sh

e was a 'saint' yet she was not set apart from

temptations of gradure, power and things peopl

e get tempted to do every day by life. I use

the qoutes around saint because she did have e

e she had been like before as people sometimes

  • Let me askyou a question

Are you american?Who in the american history was or is a SAINT?

She was a human being, that helped a lot

the lowest class in Argentina, wich is ,for some people ,not a good think to do and some of that people are the authors of books or biographys that you read about her

  • You are the BIGGEST nuisance I've ever come in contact with and don't you have anything better to do with your life than to constantly open and close accounts and trash Eva Peron you infantile child?

Anyhow continue doing what your doing. It takes no more than 2 seconds to delete your idiotic posts.

  • what do you think about the Society of Benevolence and Eva's motives for the Foundation?

  • The government had already decided, prior to Evita's involvement, that the Sociedad should be disbanded. It was outdated and backwards. The idea that Evita had it disbanded out of hurt vanity is just another of the millions of myths about her.

  • You are an idiot ! Estupid person, without heart, whitout feelings. You are one of Sociedad Rural Argentina. I hate you !!!

  • @EnzFab73 Well said, seriously, some people need to study and learn the definition of OPINION! I'd just block him/her if I were you.

  • iateevaperon,

You are a douchebag and frustrated masterbator. Do us all a favor, and go stand in the corner and jerk off and cry.

Oh, and say hi to mom! I'm sure you still live with her, and God knows what else you do with her!

    LOSER! LOL!

  • You are a bad person ! When you died, Devil will takes your soul and will go to the Inferno, and will stay there for the eternity. I think that you have sex with your "aliens mom", inclusive is probable that you have sex with your dye mom. That is the reason because you are and alien. Loser you !!! very very LOL.

  • You are a member of "Sociedad Nacional de Beneficencia" (old member, lol !). I guess that is the reason because you say that opinion. You are an envy person ! Envy for glamour of Evita. You don't have glamour !!!! LOL !

  • Thank you for the video. I admire her so very much. Some of these pictures I have never seen, and I have seen many. Again, Thanks. Evita will never be forgotten and she will always be more loved than hated. 56 years after her death, clear across the country of her birth, I am one who will always keep her memory and her wonderful work for her people alive. I see the love for her people in her eyes, that can't be faked. Again thank you for the video.

  • Where did you get such great pics before her marriage bc they were all banned and to have those is a treasure =]

  • Eva Peron did a lot for her people, research it.

  • She was STILL BEAUTIFUL!

WHY do people compare her to Hillary Clinton?

  • Well,I saw Evita in films, and i thing she isn t worse than the else actress!!!And she was ver young, when he playd!!!So...I love her in films too!!!

  • Bellissima Evita !

  • Just jumping into the conversation...

I think the purpose of the video was to ONLY address Eva Peron's sense of style and fashion. The politics is a different (and often less pretty!) subject. But the thing to remember about Eva Peron is that she was truly the first 'glamour girl' of politics, which is why her visual look made such a HUGE international impact in the '40s. I really enjoyed this clip. Thanks!

  • I think you're right. I wonder if Eva would have gotten better at acting if she'd stayed in the acting business?

  • I don't think she was a very good actress.According to what i heard, Libertad Lamarque was the best actress at that time.Evita was very good with giving public speeches in the radio. She was good at it,but unfortunately, she didn't have a remarkable career as actress for what my mother told me me...i grew up in Argentina , and all i read was that she hade a remarkable political career and a lot of power...

  • I know she wasn't very good, from what I've read. I've studied Eva's life for 6 years now, so I know. But I said IF she had stayed in the acting business, I wonder if she'd have gotten better?

  • Continued. Having been writing for ten years, I have to say practice makes perfect. When I compare myself now to what I wrote ten years ago- the difference is amazing!Eva only acted- and in three different mediums(stage, radio and film) for abuot ten years, so she didn't really have time to perfect herself in any area, so of course she wasn't going to do well. If she'd devoted her entire life to acting, she might have become a great actress, and not Evita.

  • Heroins got to be fashion victims..? Ladies...

  • huh- what are you saying? I don't get it. I'm not trying to be offensive, I just don't understand what you're saying.

  • Sorry... if I was offensive. I think you go for fashion only. It's ok.

  • *laughs* Well, you don't know me that well, and that's ok, since I mean, this is just YouTube! Personally, I'm not crazy about what's 'in' today- I make my own fashion! But by you, did you mean me, or all women? just curious.

  • fuck offf!!!! Was she an actreess or a model?

  • Eva Peron was an actress and a model, then she married Peron and became First Lady of Argentina.

  • yehh, this is the history, I know... But is not funny if you are argentinian. I like the beatles for example. I got a lot of pics in B&W of them. But I never though that Lennon is a saint, you know. They make a Saint of her... I don't know it's complicated to explain. I don't like her fashion style against rich people, and protecting the poor ones (???) They make a tale of her...

  • not all of them do. Some of them consider her the embodiment of evil. There's really no middle ground. I've even been flamed for liking her(not by you, by other people.) Liking, not loving. I admire Elizabeth I and Cleopatra more, because Eva was anti-feminist, despite giving women the vote(not that Elizabeth I was a feminist, but she definitely wasn't so dependant on men like Eva was on Peron.)

  • Continued- Nonetheless, Eva was one hell of a woman! And I still admire her helping Argentine women get the vote.

  • This was 'couse the reelection in '55. All the countries was about this in their age. Peron was reelected of course...

  • oh, I get it.

  • I'm not against women. But I see that fashion is something very important for girls, that's all. Imagine Evita without their dresses... I think she was cool, but to be an artist or a model. I don't know is personal. I don't like peronism was fascism, and still is complicated not be peronist in Argentina ('couse it fascism of course...)

  • Oh, I didn't think you were against women. I don't like what Eva did politically at all, but I admire her strength to succeed against the enormous odds against her, and that's what I admire. I do not love her blindly, I prefer Cleopatra, Anne Boleyn, or Elizabeth I of England to Evita any day.

  • The musical doesn't show what really happened. It's nothing but fiction.

  • well, the person's name says I worship alw.

  • Actually in my opinion i think the musical showed alot of her. Not to be rude or anything but andrew lloyd webber and tim rice showed how she was born in poverty and rose up to the luxury. They also showed the way her charity functioned, the rainbow tour, the feminist group the partido feminista, and how much of her ppl were saddened by her death.

  • Then why did Tim Rice base it on an actual BIOGRAPHY of her, you brainwashed idiot?

  • This "actual" biography Rice based it on has since been laughed at by researchers. Why don't you further your research before calling someone an idiot since it is clear that you've been misinformed. Even Alan Parker stated the book was malicious & innacurate. "The Woman with the Whip" is a joke & in the same level as the ENQUIRER as far as accuracy is concerned.

  • this poster has also stated that she hated the movie and Madonna's portrayal. She also called Patti a 'goddess' and Esther Goris the dirt stuck to the bottom of Patti's shoes and told me how DARE I call Patti's portrayal inaccurate

  • s/he isn't alone. on the reallyuseful message board groups, the users are not permitted to discuss the real Eva Peron- and many actually believe that the musical is 100 percent accurate.

  • Alan Parker? The guy who snubbed the goddess Patti?

  • that's very, very true. ALW and TR just took old rumours and rehashed them as facts.

  • yeah right!

  • The original Broadway/London productions of EVITA actually adapted some of her famous wardrobe into the show. At 2:06 is what the actress wore during the "Rainbow High" number, and at 2:09 is the famous "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" ballgown.

  • that dress from DCFMA was actually gold though. I wore a similar one to my homecoming- what was funny was I didn't know about the resemblance at the time ^_^ my own resemblance to Eva, especially when I take off my glasses- is uncanny

  • no first lady embodies beauty other than IMELDA MARCOS!

  • but what did Imelda do for the Philippines?

  • well.. she placed the Philippines on the map.. and it totally changed the world's perception of the Filipinos... before Imelda, we were mistaken as being primitive.. but no, Filipinos can wear gucci, prada, balanciaga, armani, chanel, lacroix, etc etc

  • ok, I guess I can see that... I make my own sense of style myself.

  • you know, this is such a disservice to the real Eva, but I've just finished writing a story and I used pictures of Eva to illustrate the main character- so now I look at Eva and think I'm looking at the heroine of my story. It's- quite odd.

  • i love her hair how does she do it

  • The chignon? Braided and then pinned back at the nape of the neck. I do something similar without the braid- I just gather all of my hair back and then place a band around it
