  • This type of hawk hides as well as its' cousins. it is essentially an ambush hawk but not always. It is just a style they use.

  • there just like there ancestors

  • Made me hungry.

  • hahah the pigeon takes a crap at 0:42

  • this isn't a wild goshawk and its all staged. thumbs down

  • @carlingfordberg I can't see any jesses or bells on its legs? Whats the difference, it would have been the same outcome had it been wild?

  • looks like a raceing pigeon poor thing on its way home

  • @waynesmith210

Who cares, its a pigeon and thats what hawks eat. I havent met any yet that eats salads, although idiots like you obvioulsy would prefer that. ITS NATURE!

  • @waynesmith210

Pigeons in general are fast. Racing pigeon isn't a sort of species, and its not domesticated. In fact, they can out-fly most birds of prey. The peregrine has to resort to a dive because it can't build the speed it needs in level flight. The goshawk is an ambusher, and it is fast in level flight.

  • too staged for my liking....

  • Incredible-I like it!

  • @jroth848 thank you for your message. No, I'm not saying that you are wrong. i personally can't even tell .that's all. supercilium is a very important point. i've learned that from the falconry club in CA. talk to you soon thanks for the message again.

  • @maxinpains No problem. ^_^ Sorry about all the crazy posting... it was my first time doing so since they changed it all up, and there was... a bit of a learning curve! I didn't know there were falconry clubs... is everyone in them a falconer or do they allow people who are just interested in the sport/ raptors in general?

  • @jroth848 yeah you gatta pass that tidious test. join the club to get a sponsor's list to become apprentice falconer.

  • @jroth848 thank you for your message. no, i'm not saying that you are wrong. I personally can't even tell. but i've learned about the supercilium of gosh hawk from my falconry club in CA. thank you for your message talk to you soon thanks.

  • its a sparrowhawk or coopers hawk, way to small for a goshawk

  • @hawktalkuk that's what i thought too at first...i see slight White eyebrow stripe... but who knows..lol

  • @maxinpains I'm 100% sure this is a Northern Goshawk. If you watch closely you can clearly see the classic white supercilium ("eyebrow stripe") flanked by black. Also the ventrum is covered in horizontal grey bars. None of the other accipiters (in the U.S.) have this trait at any point in their lives, making it an excellent diagnostic mark.

  • Wonderful video, Goshawks are my favourite bird they are sooooo agile and deadly.

  • excellent vid, gos's are great hunters, a sparowhawn hunts around my garden, really good hunter. well done on film work

  • Amazing stuff !!

I´m watching Goshawks in the wild ,too.

Five Goshawk attacks on pigeons and Blackbirds I´ve already seen. But even when the hunt was exciting the outcome was always the same. The victim outruns the Goshawk. But I´m still waiting for a success !!!

  • FANTASTIC excelent filming, you should have a oscar,im trying for a wild kill of sparrowhawks, very big challenge.
