why do we treat dogs with such disrespect? they are loyal and intelligent animals and like you and i and other animals they just want to survive. help find a home for a dog in need and it will do wonders for your spirit and give you lots of good karma. and it will also make a dog and a family happy. god bless all creatures.

Ok, why is it always recommended to spay and neuter your pets to have them live a long and healthy life? I mean, even if they don't mate with some stray and pick up a disease or something.. does removing their gonads really help them live longer?

Well, as in some breeds, cancer is common. If you remove them, testicular cancers will not happen. that's one way they'll live longer.

And the same goes for the females.

So in a way, yes.

(Although there are still other cancers... still that's one less to have to worry about I guess xD)

supposedly he's 39. lol. i actually assumed he was in his 50s. his face looks young though. there are some people who's hair turns gray really early. apparently he's one of 'em. it does really make him look old though.

two of the reasons i love the shelter where i volunteer, its a no kill shelter, and they spay and neuter all the dogs and cats that come in.
