i gave my bearded dragon a toy it get really warm and he hides sleeps under hes toy and really enjoys it i have a big hiden place for my 4 b dragon but they all love the Toy is just too warm that they love it and it been a year i have not seen them goin for hes hidden place but i now use it as a waterfall and turn it into a mini river which took 2weeks to make it perfectly clear but bearded dragon are lovely pets to keep

@wowkidlrn2play well the water fall is about 5 inch i mean is just too small and a ornament water fall that bring out and back again the water does it just to let you know i just decorated so i know what im doing with this animal have experience from 3 years now & also marine fish but not tropical or cold water so i dont abuss animals

i have an Iguana and a beardie, and I must say the beardie is the more livly of the two! With the Iguana we have to make sure we are wearing hoodies, as he always seems to catch us with his claws no matter how mcuh we trim them!

so question, anyone can answer, i have a baby bearded dragon and any time i try to pet him to hold him he runs off and he knocks down anything he runs into tryin to get away from me...so i just give up before he hurts himself...is it normal for them to be like that at young ages? or is mine just weird?

No that is very normal especially for a baby. He will end up getting used to you though. Just keep putting your hands in the cage just dont go to pick him up and he will learn that your hands mean no harm.

@azaliemagic3 how long you have him? they are pretty active/nervous as newborns, just have to spend time with it every day letting him get use to your presence and feeding and all. he'll warm up to you.

trust me, it is quite normal. when i first got my dragons one of them just didn't want to stay still to be held. Your dragon just needs some time to adapt.

Just remember they are strong little animals, and get as many pics and vids while they are still small as they grow up so quickly... I still remember when he would fit on my finger, now he's nearly 2 foot long!

love how quizzical in nature BDs can be.traded my Spur-Thigh Tortoise(outgrew indoor and outdoor playpen made for it) to a breeder for a pair of Sand Fires about 14 years ago when BDs were sorta becoming a popular breeds.I recall the first time I saw one at a convention just walking by a booth and there was a huge dragon. No tether, no cage -just sitting there checking people out.

I keep considering getting another pair, but I want to find a good breeder first.

I think it's stupid that people find this cruel. Beardies go for alot of things. Mine go for our living room carpet as it's green, and our female goes for Teacups and other things besides. They're persistant, and it's not harsh what-so-ever. Though i give mine something after,heh =P

If you want an example of cruel, search up Dog VS beardie and look for the vid made by atreyufan2324 (or some random numbers). THAT is sick/cruel,setting a dog on it. This is nowhere near.

wen we got the xmas stuf out the lil guy started goin 4 the baubles, if he got scared or didnt like it he wud have had his mouth open, his 'beard' puffed out & black, & if he realy didnt like it he wud also be flattening his body & showing it 2 the bauble, now i cant c any of that...
