Records like this gave me superhuman strength and agility .....okay i wasnt up to Sandys standard but i gave it a good go.....and thirty years later im still of superlative fitness....New York Marathon in November will be my 94th and i will be 4months short of 55years of age!!And i will be in the top 1,500 out of 56000....not bad eh and dancing to sounds like this has certainly helped!!! keep the faith....Mad Dave from York formerly Burnley

I am dancing in this vid - and proud to say I was there! With northern sounds on my iPod I now KTF and shake it (actually quite a bit as I am nearly 2 stone heavier than I was) in all the countries I visit, lol. These nights were sublime. Thanks for sharing this vid.

What a crackin' vid...so a note to the unwise...Spencer Bags. 4 or 6button high waists,.smooth leather shoes...or the ugly as hell POLYVELTS from CLARKS after about '76...great for dancin' coz they were light...but back to the leathers when U leave & put your sunglasses on when U get in the car before the MOTORWAY COPS GET ON YOUR ASS!!!

Nah..but they didn't win a beauty contest! Dance-floor-only. Everything else I had was quarter heal steel & seg tips so I know what ya mean..ripped enough bits of my parents carpets. Poly's were definately like wearing nothing on yr feet in comparison..esp by 4am, sweat & the talc-maniacs had done their worst! There's a few Bank Hols where my leathers were a kilo each!

But Poly's were a bit of a learning curve 4 spinners, no counterweight. 1st time a mate tried them he left the floor like Bambi!

Been a long time but i believe in 1974 we wore bags at Wigan never flares. bangin tunes and crazy moves bringing back great memories of the scene and freinds. miss it living in canada now.

FLARES!!!???!!!! My bags were so big you could put a family of Paki's up each leg!!! Never saw anyone with flares.....but was out of the scene a bit between 79 to 81 (HMP) so don't know what the f*%@ happened then......but really FLARES,,,,,,,not allowed EVER!!!!

Yeah tha's about right......if you were a spinner they were practically in a different time zone...........I was back at my parents home last year and was searching for all my old photo's, and actually found a pair of bags and 2 pairs of old shoes.........the waist on the bags was 26".......shocking consumption of something....I'd love to find the crazy ones with 6 button waists double side pockets and 45" bottoms......I know I had them but maybe my mates burnt them!!!

@keepingthefaith72 it had nothing to do with bay city rollers, it was about soul bags with 40" wide bottoms, 8 pleats, 10 back pockets, 3 channel seams and a chain, then you had to have a fred perry polo shirt, a black harrington jacket and polyvelts, ohh and some speed
