It;s funny how in "Parting of the Ways' the Doctor uses the screwdriver to control the TARDIS, and in "The Sontarran Strategem," he claims it doesn't have a remote control...even though he was holding the screwdriver in his hand at the time. Bugs me no end.
ANd, of course, the Master has his moment...with that rediculous song. ;)
I think he pre-programmed it. After thta, the TARDIS also starts the emergency hologram thing. The Doctor knew something like that was going to happen once.
