I nearly always get the red light at the weigh station a few miles from there. They can be rough sometimes.

Don't feel bad, it's the same with me...don't know why they have prepass when they don't use it...lol. Be safe man

they come on at sundown and stay on throughout the night.

The river barges can actually use a sensor to turn the lights off temporarily as they pass under. There were issues years ago about the lights creating glare on the water making it hard to see where they were going.
