  • Great song.

The nice thing about YouTube is how quiet and attentive one's audience always is.

  • You must have played southern Utah!

  • lmao your song is so funny. i used to do karaoke in bars so i can relate to your song. my karaoke player and mics were broken by drunks many several times. lol and they would come to me and cry and moan about when they were going to sing next. great lyrics and song 5***** man your song is kewl =)

  • I hate playing for people who just don't care to listen - been there done that more times than I can count. Great song!!! Put this on my favorites list - 5*****

  • Favorited! Could you post the chords and lyrics?

  • Thanks! The chords are easy, D-A-G or minor variations. Get my address from my site and I'll email you the lyrics. GB

  • this song brings a tear to my eye!! about says it all! LOL t:)

  • Cool song! I hear what you're saying but I kinda like the loudness since it drowns out my bad singing and playing.

  • Isn't the problem - like always - that everyone has to make a buck? That's just it, music has been turned into background or at best entertainment. Otherwise who in their right minds would play something of personal significance to a room full of strangers who are only partially interested, if that.

  • I don't know. I play things of personal significance for strangers all the time because I love singing and I enjoy doing it in public. I play mostly for tips and while it's nice to make a buck (literally) or have people like my music, if I was doing it for the money and applause, I'd have quit long ago. I do it for love. All my songs are available free, or with a donation, at my site. This song is just a little tantrum about people's diminishing attention spans and lack of respect for music...

  • Ok, understood. Perhaps I was projecting my own phobias on to you. Good that it is performance by free choice. Anger at attention span and disrespect of the audience I gathered from the song. I would throw in distractions in that sort of setting too. Still would prefer a listening audience of one or two in the kitchen myself - if I could play an instrument and sing that is. Thanks for your reply.
