With all the creationist crap being taught in American schools, it won't be long before America has to import scientists. Either that or fall behind the rest of the world. Suits me
@daverigby23 "it won't be long before America has to import scientists" Actually, they are allready doing that. And have been doing that for some time. It's called the H1B. A visa for foreign scientists. More then HALF of currently enlisted people going for a phd in the US is NOT an american, but a foreigner with the H1B visa.
The H1B is the only reason why the US still is a tech leader. That will change though. Fast.
This high school student shouldn't be in the position to give a speech like this while the old, wiser decision makers look on. This is a ridiculous role reversal. We have to look to our children to decide the difference between science and mythology.
Atheist definition of having an open mind= believing exactly what the atheist tells you I mean religous folks cannot possibly be thinking for themselves. If they were they would march in lockstep with atheists.
@Mrdudeimboss Ok, well I don't think you are being serious, and I don't think your grammar and spelling are really that bad. I think you are a person playing a character. Good luck with that.
@Mrdudeimboss Well, maybe she should have said the bible is full of lies. That would have been technically more accurate. Even most Christians will acknowlrdge this, one point at a time, and reluctantly.
What would her dad say if she became a born again Christian fighting against atheism? So much for free thinking huh.
And someone should teach this young lady that Baptist started separation of church and state and it was to keep the government out of the church and not to keep the church out of government.
A history lesson would help her gross misunderstanding that her father has brain washed her with. ~ So much for "free thinking"
@jimthebaptist67 I think you comented on thr wrong video. This girl was not speaking about religion. She was just stating how it is wrong to represent the obvious falsehoods of creationism as science, especially to children.
@jimthebaptist67 "What would her dad say if she became a born again Christian fighting against atheism? So much for free thinking huh."
Hopefully, her father would be proud that her daughter made the decision herself.
"not to keep church out of government."
R u complaining? Have you looked at a dollar bill for the last hundred years? In the court system, what do you put your left hand on? There is plenty of church in government.
I am totally against YEC but come on, you really want to shut them down? Is this your tactic? Any u wonder why no one trusts atheists. There is a thing called freedom of thought and speech, unfortunately with such freedom will come some hairbrained thoughts and speech. To want to shut people up is evil.
@Kiesel yes because you have wonderful Islamic sharia & also a Catholic Church history filled with oppression but here in the US atheists are the least trusted people by far, 2x as many people distrust atheists as they distrust muslims.
@Kiesel google the atheist stat, it is easy to find. most atheists in US just want to be left alone but there is a small minority of atheists that are militant, putting everyone else down and try to push absurd legislation and only notice them.
I hope there is no sharia in Europe but there may be soon as they outpopulate the rest of europeans
the world was created 10,000 years ago oooorr my great, great, great grandpa was a rock. I think I am going with the "aliens put life on earth" deal, lol.
Please, I am begging, show the scientific observation that something can give birth to something it's not! All you ever show is micro changes and slip in macro conclusions.
You atheist walk by faith just like me and yet you call your faith science????
@feignofcordor do you know what fascism is.let's see, single party state using indoctrinism and propaganda and anti-intellectualism,sounds like a perfect description of you creatards as it what you want as we only seek the truth which is something you may never be familiar with you poor fool.let's just see shall we.there is no devil and there is no god like it or not.:-)
Atheist intolerance. and she insulted every kid that doesn`t follow her world view notice how the Atheist audience clapped as she said "I don`t think they should be allowed that" I`m fucking sick of intolerant, fascistic leftist atheists. I believe in God now get used to it fascists..
@FeignofCordor jesus dude I don't know if your kidding are not, but I cant stop laughing at your post. Those intolerant son a bitches that don't understand that raptors were created so adam could get out to the back forty, since there were no roads, and god didn't get the chance to create the Hummer yet. I mean WTF, everyone knows the bible is the only science book we need. it answers ALL scientific questions with PROOF, god made it, what more science do those atheist bastards want??
Imagine this country one day morphing into a Muslim state,... sound far fetched?
Maybe one day atheists will look back on the good ol days. The days of being able to kick around good Christians with impunity, People who pray to God on their behalf for their well being and the safeguard of their families regardless of how they treat them.
Atheists in this country have this wild eyed idea that they can extinguish religion one day.
your comment is full of fail lol where to begin....
1) do you really believe Muslims can 'take over our country'? lol?? really???
2) your message some how implies that, Christianity keeps the wolves at bay... how? the power of prayer?
I want you (or anyone who believes in the power of prayer for that matter) to pray that i see the light, and come back to this video and admit i am wrong. 'you cant ask god to show his power' people say this so when nothing happens, they dont cry
@1984bornagain - Ummm, hate to burst your bubble here, but the founding fathers and settlers actually came to this land to *escape* religious persecution and be able to worship as/whom/ when/where they saw fit to do so. They were also smart enough to realize that a "wall of separation" between religion and state was vital to our survival. Not sure why Fundies are so ignorant of history, honestly..."Congress shall pass no law respecting any religion"....
for me, science and religion aren't that different, people like them to be. daodejing tells: fire and water don't really antagonise, hell of a mess. both of them in search of the fullfilling precondition: science in cross-questioning matterial in space-time, religion in reservelessly believing. leaving their dogmatic, privileged substance they'd find themselves on path, whitch is destination itself, just from different orientations. i, rational, believe in spiritual evolution. others may stick;)
I see you have cancer. Imagine a world where the majority of the "tax payers" felt that cancer was caused by negative spirits in your soul, not carcinogens or genetic predisposition.
Would it be ok then to let "the taxpayers," who by and large have no clue what they're talking about, choose what is taught to our children? Peer review means nothing? Wow, and double wow.
That scientific process which "means nothing" GAVE you the anti-cancer treatment you're assuredly taking RIGHT now.
@generalataris Diseases ARE caused by negative emotions too, you know? Why do we worry so much about stress? Plus, have you ever seen a demon possessed person, they look very sickly and disturbed. I have not come across them, but heard about them.
I never said I was against the scientific process; I just don't think the evolutionary system fits it---'cause you can't repeat it. Peer reviews can be biased, that was my point. Yes, chemo is tough bud. : )
What you're describing might be the most UNdemocratic thing I can imagine. No matter the merit of an idea, or the evidence, the most popular view should take precedent?
Make no mistake; evolution is a fact. It is the most well-evidenced concept in biology, and a corner of stone of genetics, virology, et. al. You say you are not "anti-science," but you are; you immediately reject evolution because of your pre-conceived religious notions.
@generalataris I thought we lived in a Republic. Sorry, my bad. : )
The most PLAUSIBLE view, the most sensical view should take effect. No, I reject evolution cause you can't repeat it. I still think parents know best. Letting others choose for you would be living under a dictatorship system.
Hence the grown folks choosing, isn't that of a democracy type?
As a matter of fact, it has been repeated. Read Richard Dawkin's "The Greatest Show on Earth," where they repeated evolution in a lab scenario over the course of decades.
@generalataris How would someone repeat evolution? I don't want to read it...I've heard he likes to take shots at Creationists, that is from a safe distance, haha. He wouldn't debate one.
@compgrad1 there is no need to repeat it. It has been observed on a cellular and bacterial level. Take for example bacteria in waste dumps that have evolved to consume nylon; nylon is a man-made product first developped about 60 years ago. The life cycle of these creatures is incredibly fast so we are fortunate enough to witness evolution.
Evolution in higher life forms is considerably slower and not as easily observed first-hand. The fossil record tracks their development quite well.
@OneSoullessAtheist Sure it has to be repeated. Results must be peer reviewed. Consuming nylon does not constitute evolution; it proves that bacteria can adapt, perhaps by mutation or another preexistent mechnanism besides evolution. Also nylon is a product of petroleum, so it's not a new product per se, just a different formula.
Yes, let's let the kids make their own mind up! Teach both Creation and Evolution and I guarantee evolution will out the doors in no time. Evolution is bologne.
@generalataris Are you.... scared? Why not let the people choose? See, that's all you atheists can say: How pitiful, myth, holy book, you know... key words, that's it.
Yes, in the mean time, let's also present the flat-earth view of geography, or the Stork version of human production, or the "spirits" version of human disease.
@generalataris I don't believe in a flat-earth, the Bible doesn't teach it. It teaches that God hangs the Earth on nothing and it's rounded. Please read the Bible. Stork reproduction? Human diseases can be caused by negative emotion, resulting from toxic releases in the cells, thereby causing some diseases.
Are you saying that stress doesn't exist and does not cause diseases....
Bless your heart. Reading comprehension can be challenging.
My point here is that you do not teach "alternatives" based off of some vague sense of "fairness," to "let the children choose."
The scientific process of research and peer review works; Intelligent Design has not, cannot, and will not withstand the scrutiny of it, and thus should not be allowed to make an end-run around the process and into the classroom.
I.D. is very fundamentally NOT science, and it's not close.
@ameiko76 Atheism is no more a religion than not believing in santa or the tooth fairy is a religion. It's a great idea to educate your brain as much as you possibly can - there's enough information out there - the kind of information that's allowed us as a species to develop flight, satellites, vaccines and the internet. If you can read and do basic maths and it makes sense to you (hey! you can use a computer!), you can probably achieve that goal. Good luck and best wishes.
Im a Atheist and I like this museum. Lets face it, it isnt the non-believers who convert people away from religion. Those 2 sides always disagree no matter what. It is the Christians themselves who have caused Atheism to climb so rapidly these days. Especially since the internet came along where young kids can look up anything they question. Things like creation museums, the Phelps family, Mike Mudock, Ted Haggard, YouTubes venomfangx, etc etc are huge Atheist creators. So keep em coming! :)
@mathewjohn5174 Church and State is separated. I'm going to open a museum about how the human race is a rape child of two distinct alien species. And use tax dollars to build it.
Young people like this are the only hope we have. Religious indoctrination of children IS child abuse and should be considered a crime. You should NOT legally be allowed to have your mind altered through evil doctrine brainwashing techniques, just as it currently is not legally allowed to be altered by alcohol until you are considered an adult and can handle it better. If the legal age to walk through bar or pub doors is 21, then the age to walk through church doors should be at least 22.
@TacticalAtheist It can however be just as extremist - but with far worse consequences than extreme coffee drinking. Many Atheist have simply dropped one extreme ideology for another. The propensity to be extremist is more related to personality disorder than ideology.
Sociopaths thrive on people that tend to embrace the extreme - and the Atheist movement is rampant with extremist and more than it's fare share of sociopaths.
Most of them wouldn't follow an Atheistic crowd, due to less social acceptance. They need to be accepted socially to be able to engage in their conning and manipulative acts. Being an Atheist puts you in a much smaller group, bad thing for a sociopath. You might be thinking of something more parallel to Histrionic disorder.
@Phaze252 Excuse me? Sociopaths, thrive on small extremist groups like Atheist. The big names Stalin, Mou, Pol Pot, are the exception. Most sociopaths operate in a small group, or in larger groups, but not as the leadership.
There are sociopaths that use and even train other sociopaths in a complex sociopaths hierarchy.
Not giving a shit about the cause, the goal is to manipulate others into destructive dangerous behaviors - receiving vindication and pleasure from the pain they cause.
Atheists aren't a small extremist group, and no..they don't thrive on the groups, they thrive on the people inside the groups, if they're the leaders it's better for them because it allows them an easier position to manipulate them. But as an outcast group such as Atheism? Sociopaths tend to avoid it, unless they can create their own group or confidently work their way up into a position of manipulation. Atheist groups normally aren't in a position to give power though.
@Phaze252 LOL no no no, they can't be in MY group... You really have no clue what you are talking about - you seem to just pass over my assertion that Sociopaths thrive in small groups full of extremist.
Most Sociopaths in fact never have more than family in their group, as most people are easily taken in at first, but soon see the manipulation for what it is. Extremist have a hard time seeing that.
It can't be in my group because I don't have a group. I'm not saying they don't thrive on small groups, I'm saying Atheist extremists are out of the ordinary, sure they're there, just like other groups...but you're saying the entire atheistic population is an extremist group filled with manipulative sociopaths, which is just wrong.
Your assertion is basically correct, they thrive in small groups, but Atheists in general, are not a small group and usually are not extremists.
@Phaze252 In general most ppl are not sociopaths (3-5%) the number of extremist depends on how you define the word. My interpretation of extremism is not all that broad, (it's tied up in just how far down the rabbit hole of "absolute certainty" a person is willing to go) but I think that about 1/3 of the pop is susceptible to becoming extremist in the right situation.
The majority is susceptible if we're put in the right situation of a group. De-individuation and the Milgram effect is a monster.
Go check up on a study done by Phillip Zimbardo. Once you're put in a particular position, where you think less and are just there to do, you can easily become an extremist. Depending on how deeply you define Extremist.
Though your statistic on sociopaths, is roughly correct
@TacticalAtheist How long has it been since an extremist Atheist conducted a genocide?
Being an Agnostic allows me to look at both extremes equally - if you can't see the extremism in your own camp could it be that you are deluding yourself? Just as many Christians or Muslims can't see the vile behavior of their leaders, Atheist seem to have a rather strange devotion to the dogma of their philosophy also. To an Agnostic, your selective vision is all too familiar.
@AMilitantAgnostic What extremist acts are you referring to? Not reading the bible? Not reading the coran? Not telling kids they will burn in hell? Not collecting stamps! There is no. Atheism is a general term we use to describe ourselves because the religious and people like you dont have the capacity to understand our position. It's not that we vehemently believe something different from you. It's simply that we understand there is nothing to believe in outside of the real world.
@AMilitantAgnostic " Define real world " Seriously? I mean really? OK I'll take a bite. The real world is the one we all live in. This one right here and now. It does not matter how you define it or whether you think it was created by a Vodka Martini or a goat herder from Tibet. This is the real world the only difference between you and I is that I understand that and you don't.
@TacticalAtheist So you define your "real world" as not only as what you can perceive but what you as an individual makes from those perceptions? By that definition then, living your life as if you know there is NOT a God is no different than a religion. Do I understand your definition correctly?
@AMilitantAgnostic No. Now you are just making up things to say aren't you! The real world is that which is and can be observed. The religious world is that what is made up to make idiots feel good about themselves. Is it that hard for you to understand?
@TacticalAtheist -- The record of things once thought impossible to exist - yet that do - is evidently a mystery to arrogant, and the absolutely certain Atheist.
Are you afraid of not knowing something? You're human, get over it, we do not know if there is a God. You have nothing approaching compelling evidence, one way or the other - yet through faith you live a live as if you magically know.
@AMilitantAgnostic Please drink less coffee before posting. There are few things I am afraid of, and knowing that there is no god is not one of them. It is quite simple really, The first religions were simple and basic, conjured up by primitive minds. Each generation adding to the myths and fables until they Evolved into the Tens of Thousands of religions we have today. Each religion stealing and borrowing myths from the previous one to indoctrinate the gullible, ignorant, scared masses.
@AMilitantAgnostic The fact that there are some thirty thousand versions of the bible and even more versions of Christianity prove there is not a christian god. The fact that Islam is obviously a rehash of the jewish and christian faiths proves there is no god of the muslims. The fact that when anyone has tried to test or scrutinize any religious text the findings ALWAYS come back with the same answers. Every faith ever thought up is a collection of story's told to simpletons for power & wealth.
@TacticalAtheist Yes and and I find the theist stories almost as ludicrous as the Atheist living life as if they somehow magically 'know' there is not a God.
You're all living in faith... YOU just don't seen to know it yet.
@AMilitantAgnostic Again with the ignorance. We don't have a faith you Muppet! When will you understand that we are the normal people. We are the control. After us comes the morons who believe in fairy tales and want us to believe as well. It is not us making up magical space fairy's that pop beings out of thin air and then trying to convince you that its real. You are the one selling the bullshit and we are not buying it. It's not that we have bought something else! We dont buy it at all.
The average atheist IS an agnostic. They don't claim that their is no God, only that their is no evidence to support that there is. They're agnostic about God the same way you're agnostic about invisible space monkies. Neither can be proven nor disproven. And to suspect that either exists based on that is retarded. Not to offend retarded people or anything! Because damn, some of them are strong, and you don't want to piss THEM off!
@blackkakari - "They (atheist) don't claim that their is no God, only that their is no evidence to support that there is." Sorry your average Atheist claims there is not a God, despite the lack of evidence on the subject. Most live a lifetime trying to evangelize others to accept their propaganda, by faith. I'm not agnostic about space monkeys, I'm Agnostic about the existence of God, as the probability of a God like being is much more likely (and scientifically important) than space monkeys.
@AMilitantAgnostic Atheists say "there is no God" the same way anyone else would say "there are no space monkies". Until VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE is shown that in any way SUGGESTS EITHER MAY EXIST, the two have equal credibility; none. The concept of "God" is a redundent cop out no different than "the world is on the back of a giant turtle" arguement; throughout history man has been ignorant of the world around him, and has made baseless claims to explain it, all based on nothing more than faith.
@blackkakari If you can't see more evidence for god, than for space monkeys - then as an agnostic I'd conclude that you've formed an irrational opinion on the subject. An opinion so strong, that you've allowed yourself to live absolutely certain, you are correct. Again as an agnostic, I would claim your absolute certainty is a manifestation or "faith" in your conviction. Your conviction compels you to ignore reasonable examination of reality.
@AMilitantAgnostic I knew you'd say that. Okay then, show me ONE piece of evidence that gives the concept of God any more credibility than the space monkies. ONE! You won't be able to give me one REAL piece of verifiable evidence, but I'm willing to humor you. So go on. One real piece of verifiable evidence. I'm waiting...
@blackkakari Easy - I have a few - to make it simple let me ask you - define what you would accept as "god".
Something like, "a being or beings of a non-earth origin that are responsible for life on earth". Or would you like to go more complex than that? It's up to you.
"A being or beings of a non-universe origin that are responsible for life on earth?"
Just clarify the confines you wish for me to work in, and I will help you out.
I don't log in everyday so, if you have to wait, tough.
@AMilitantAgnostic I'm glad we're getting into specifics, now. I thought you were talking about religion's version of God, thus misunderstanding your arguement. I actually agree with you that there might be some form of higher collective conciousness. Perhaps comprised of every lifeform acting as brain cells for a single "mind". I think ultimately that the terms "atheist" and "agnostic" are just semantics. As few atheists would claim there is undeniably no higher consciousness of any kind.
@danning1 "off" is just the action of having no ability or work. aka lazy and without intelligence. Someone who is off has the ability to be turned on to serve a purpose. But if they do not accept that position of "on" then they are just taking up space.
See what atheism is doing to the youth. It gives it's followers no morality. This is America, not Nazi Germany. Take your eugenics elsewhere. Move to India and become dominated by the caste system.
@codyhill06 Lol, Germany was religious and so were most if not all Nazis you fool. "God with us" was even their slogan!
Religion offers no morality, only fear of punishment. Atheists don't do good things to get a reward, they do it for the sake of doing good things. That's called being a moral person, something religious people are not. There's a reason why a much higher percentage of religious people are in jail than atheists.
@iSOBigD Germany as a country may have been religious, but what part of Christianity teaches to kill your enemy? My point. Hitler was an atheist and his practice with eugenics is proof of it. He never followed any of the bible's commandments nor Jesus'. Religion offers morality because it gives us the answers to right and wrong. Christians don't do good things for a reward either, we also do it for the sake of man and to glofy God.
@iSOBigD There are two reasons for the higher percentages of religious people in jail. One is, once you've hit rock bottom, you've messed your life up, there's salvation through Christ and redemption, something atheism doesn't offer. Another reason is because this nation is full of mostly religious people. Now whether they act in a matter that doesn't glorify or satisfy God is their own thing. That's between them and God.
@codyhill06 I don't think you understand percentages. If you have 10 atheists and 10 religious people, and out of them, 1 atheist is a criminal and 8 religious people are criminals, there is a higher percentage of religious people who are criminals. You mentioned morals and I gave you a clear example showing that atheists are more moral than religious people. The world's most peaceful countries even today are mainly atheist. The ones at war? Religious.
@iSOBigD I do understand, and my reply makes perfect sense. If you have higher percentages of religious people in the world, the majority of prisoners are likely to be religious. It doesn't mean that religions don't offer morality, it's that their followers don't follow that morality. You should hold the followers acountable, not the religion.
@codyhill06 No. Cody, please learn some basic math. Here's an example: 2 out of 10 religious people end up in prison. 0.5 out of 10 atheists end up in prison. In that example, religious people are 4 times more likely to end up in prison than non-religious ones. Countries like Sweden, Norway, and others which are mostly not religious have some of the healthiest people and lowest crime rates in the world. Religious countries of any faith have much more crime per capita.
@iSOBigD Ok, let me put this into a fuller spectrum for you. If we take the earth's population (roughly 6.8 billion people) and say that 5 billion have some kind of belief, and you take the other 1.8 billion that claim they have none. According to your statistics, 1 billion religious people are imprisioned while only 90 million are atheists. My reply that people find religion in jail makes perfect sense and still refutes your argument. Accept it already.
@iSOBigD There is no such poll keep statistics on the number of people going into jail being atheist or Christian. Naturally preachers, priests, and pastors are going to preach the Gospel to those who need to hear it most, which happen to be in jail. How many people kill someone, go to jail, THEN lose their faith in God and claim to be an atheist?
@codyhill06 Actually there is: The Federal Bereau of Prison Statistics by research analyst Denise Golumbaski conducted this study. Interesting enough Christians came out on top with roughly 80% those included catholics, protestants, church of christ etc.. Rastafarians had more in prison with1.987%. than Atheists which were at 0.209% only Hindus, Santeria,Sikh,Bahai and Krishna had lower percentages than Atheists. It's an indepth study by professionals in their field.
@codyhill06 Not very many. In fact, the opposite happens all the time. Also, you just implied yourself that they're believers when they commit the crimes...so things don't look good for your little "atheists" are evil opinion. The point is, atheists don't do bad things because they're good people, not because they're bad people who are afraid of hell. That's a very important difference. We know what's right and the commandments have nothing to do with that.
@iSOBigD You're now mixing all religions, which I personally don't stand for. I'll gladly stand for Christian nations and say that, if they are at war, it should be to liberate a country or at least restore human rights with the intent to glorify God by following biblical commandments.
@iSOBigD I've been to Germany twice and I can tell you, the Nazi leaders did not act in accordance with the Christian commandments. It doesn't take a scientist or a sociologist to figure that out. You want to call me a fool, but you're ignorant to my statement, idiot.
@codyhill06 It's nice that you've been to Germany, but you commented about Hitler being an atheist, and that is a lie. He was a Catholic, he went to church, etc. The Catholic church never said "he's not Catholic, we want nothing to do with him!" while he was going around killing Jews so don't make stuff up please. Now that I've proven you wrong, I want to say that his religion is irrelevant. He also had a mustache, does that mean everyone with a mustache is as bad as Hitler?
@iSOBigD Can you show me which part of the New Testament that Hitler followed when he commanded the genocide of the Jews? I can show you several parts that condemn what he did.
@codyhill06 "My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth!" -Adolph Hitler in a speech on April 12, 1922 'The Speeches of Adolph Hitler' Vol 1 p. 19-20 Oxford University Press,1942.
@jscanyon Anyone can claim to be a Christian, if he doesn't follow the commandments it makes his claim invalid. Does his actions not seem a little unorthadox to you? He may have claimed to be a Catholic and even used God in his speeches, but let's be honest, he didn't follow the commandments in the New Testament. So this repetative notion that he was a Christian fails. When you show me some examples of Hitler acting out as a Christian, and not just professing to be one.
@jscanyon That's a major problem even in today's world. People want to claim they're a Christian and yet they don't die out to their sinful ways. So we can only say, this person doesn't follow the bible so they're not truly a Christian, they only profess to being one. It's the same if I claim to be a mechanic yet can't do any of the basic mechanical work such as change the oil in a car or replace a headlight. My actions then make my claim invalid or majorly faulty.
@iSOBigD You haven't proven me wrong, you've proven yourself ignorant to the Bible. His lack of following Christianity is relevant because it shows that atheism mixed with hatred spawns a genocide. Now if you want to mention the Crusades, that's simply Christians not following their commandments.
@codyhill06 Oh I see, so every Christian person who commits crimes is not considered Christian anymore?! Hahaha! So by your logic, 100% of Christians are perfect, except those who are not, because those aren't Christians anymore. Argument over, you win. I give up since you're an illogical person and you cherry pick your Christians.
@iSOBigD What part of being a born-again Christian says you can start a genocide, physically abuse someone into believing something, and commit crimes? There is a dying-out to the old ways and accepting a different path. Someone doing evil may have claimed to be a Christian, but when they sinned inspite of being saved, they are rebuking their beliefs.
@iSOBigD Just as you don't want to accept Stalin and Hitler as atheists, I am just as able to dismiss people claiming to be Christian doing evil as non-Christians. There is a difference from their beliefs and repentance and their actions and intentions.
@codyhill06 Actually eugenics was of interest to many people abroad including FDR at the time, most recently with China and the population of it's country. The Nazis took it as something for ethnic cleansing. Do you really know what eugenics is???? Your argument is yet again based on nothing, it's known a hasty generalization and straw man argument, again no facts.
Wait! The museum is private and they have every RIGHT to promote what they want. Atheists are such cry-babies. There is NO separation of church and state issue at all here. This girl has become a living martyr for the cause of atheism, and that's a shame. She'll make a lot of money off of it, but she'll be empty inside, never having found the true God, the Creator of all.
@aThinkingChristian You're not a thinking chrisitian - you're just regurgitating what you've been told. Chrisitianity is based on doctrine and indoctrination; it discourages free and independent thought and you're demonstrating that very clearly.
@masala505 And unless you're a scientist you regurgitate what you're told, too, so let's be honest here, shall we? ;-) Bottom line: I have examined the evidence on both sides and concluded with my brain that God made that evolution is impossible and never happened. Now the mathematical probabilities back me up on that. Evolution has NEVER once been observed, so it's not backed by "science." It's totally faith-based. You have ever right to believe it, but it doesn't make it true.
@aThinkingChristian I am not a scientist and I do not need to be one to understand evolution. If you think that evolution has never been observed then you clearly have not read, or certainly not understood, the overwhelming evidence for evolution. I tend to think you simply choose to ignore it. How can you say evolution is faith based? It is based on 150 years of concurring evidence in all the sciences. Furthermore, are you basing your "evidence" on the bible ...deary me, that's feeble!
@aThinkingChristian You can't possible believe in creationism - it flies in the face of all reason. It's incredible...or just plain silly! It amazes me how you can say the things you say. Your writing style is so lucid, yet what you say is so pityful! You seem to be your own contradiction. I find it especially hard to understand as I'm Swiss and Switzerland is an athiest country. We tend to see religious people as being uneducated or foreign.
@masala505 Right! Because it's totally logical that an explosion of matter that came from NOTHING (!) made a universe full of order and inter-working complexity, right? And from that came humanity against all conceivable mathematical probability.
"But with enough TIME, 'anything' is possible." LOLLLLLLL! Believe on!
What I'm really hoping is that people like you would actually use some of that time to think through what you believe. Because to the true thinkers, what you believe is silly.
@aThinkingChristian For your information, it is a proven fact that matter can appear and disappear. This has been part of quantum theory and has been proved in particle accelerators. While this is counter intuitive, it fits with what we know about matter particles. So as it happens, yes it is possible that the universe just came into existence from NOTHING. Equally it is possible that all the matter in a previous universe became one singularity, and that is where this universe came from.
@xNoReligionx The problem with your argument is that it is totally illogical. NOTHING can't create anything. It is NO-THING. Now, pushing "theories," and that's all they are, desperate theories, to try and explain the impossible (from a naturalistic position) doesn't fool anyone. Furthermore, these theories shouldn't be pushed as science, since it's impossible to observe, and no one was there to observe. You call me a liar, but the dishonesty lies at your door. Gen. 1:1 makes MUCH more sense.
@aThinkingChristian So what about God then, according to you he just came into existence, but you just said that's impossible, so now you don't believe in God. Which is it, can something come from nothing or NOT? YES OR NO
@xNoReligionx Well, if there is a God, and that God is Jehovah of the Bible, then he's eternal. He had no beginning. That's what the Bible teaches. But he's God. That's not hard to understand.
But your quandary is that you're seeking a purely naturalistic explanation for the universe, and it's understandably a little uncomfortable when it comes to what was there before the so-called "Big Bang"? Theories are nice things, but there is no way to actually prove it in this case. It's not science.
@aThinkingChristian Yeah that's right, it's called special pleading. Your God is special because some old books says so.. that's not evidence it's illogical.
So if you can have special pleading I can... "the universe is eternal and it didn't need a creator, it expands and contracts roughly every 30 billion years" Done.
How you MORONS can't see that this is the same bullshit as your FUCKING GOD is eternal I don't know, perhaps you are the missing link :)
@aThinkingChristian The truth is there are millions of possibilities as to how the universe, our planet and life came about, and we are finding out more and more every day. But to say "God Done it" is LAZY, CHILDISH, and a LIE!
@aThinkingChristian You obviously haven't read, or don't understand, the arguments. You shouldn't call yourself a thinking christian because you don't do any thinking, you just believe what you're told. Time to grow up and think for yourself!
@masala505 Actually, I understand the arguments quite well. I've been debating this stuff for 15 yrs. What you need to understand is that the evidence available is available to everyone. The issue is INTERPRETATION. Creationists feel that the evidence supports a case for intelligent design. You say differently. But in the end BOTH are faith-based because there were no eyewitnesses.
Oh, and you can stop with the "think for yourself" banter. NO ONE is an island & exercises 100% original thought.
@aThinkingChristian You have been arguing it for 15 years, well that's pathetic you'd think you would have a better argument by now. Interpretation, yeah that's a great word. See in science, we don't interpret stuff, it either works or it does not. You only need interpretation when you have to twist things around to fit your version of reality. which is what you idiots do, and that's why we laugh at you all the time.
@xNoReligionx So the massive holes in the fossil record, do they "work" or not? And what about the lack of billions and billions of transitional forms if evolution is true? Does that "work" or not?
Let's see who does some twisting now of reality. LOL!
@aThinkingChristian No twisting required, just some education on your part. Lets start by asking you if you understand how a fossil is made and what the likelihood of any particular creature of being fossilized? Now lets not beat around the bush here, you can see where I'm going, the fact that we have any fossils is just amazing. As for transitions if you idiots would bother to undersand how evolution works you would not say such a dumb thing. I don't need any fossils to prove Evolution.
@aThinkingChristian Three letters DNA... that's it, a slam dunk from science to the delusional. When you look at DNA and compare it between different species, it becomes very evident that there is a "family tree". Similar codons are found all over the genome, and they follow exactly the sort of pattern one might expect if these creatures had evolved from one another and branched and so forth. In fact the evidence is so strong, if you GOD did it then he's deceitful to have made it appear so.
@aThinkingChristian So finally you can run along now with your tail between your legs and your delusion battered, but no doubt still in tact. brainwashing is a powerful thing.
@xNoReligionx Somehow you've mistaken me for perhaps another Christian you felt you beat up on. Sorry, but I'm not impressed or intimidated by your ranting and name calling. However, I kind of make a practice to deal only with CIVILIZED people, so since you've obviously shown you are not that type of person, I'll have to cut this short. Learn to be civil to people and then maybe we can continue some time.
(This is where you reply with even more & scarier expletives.) (sigh.)
@aThinkingChristian Two points to say: Firstly, you're correct, no one's an island with 100% original thought. Secondly, your point on there's no eye witnesses is absolutely feeble. There's no eye witnesses for Zeus, Apollo, the flying spegetti monster but we can assume through the lack of evidence that none of them really existed. Assuming that there is no god is not faith based it is because there's absolutely no indication to believe otherwise - you must see that surely?
@masala505 Isn't observation part of the scientific process to determine scientific fact?
So let me ask you, when you observe the universe from the cosmos to living things, do they seem ordered and designed, or in a state of chaos (which would be the natural result of something beginning with a big explosion)?
@aThinkingChristian They have every right to have the museum but they don't have the right to market it as science to school children. School and education is a state affair and the museum has a fundamental Christian agenda. Furthermore, if you're empty inside without believing in fairy tales then you need to take a long hard look at yourself!
@masala505 Yes they most certainly do! Because it IS true science, and there are thousands of scientists who believe it and back it up.
You're also very wrong about the state running education. We may have a public school system (as putrid as it is), but there are thousands of parents who home school (I am one of them) or use private schools. And the high academic statistics of the latter two FAR, FAR outweigh those of the former.
It is not I who believe in fairy tales. Evolution is a joke.
Why did you not this continue? Where can i see the entire protest?

The H1B is the only reason why the US still is a tech leader. That will change though. Fast.

for me, science and religion aren't that different, people like them to be. daodejing tells: fire and water don't really antagonise, hell of a mess. both of them in search of the fullfilling precondition: science in cross-questioning matterial in space-time, religion in reservelessly believing. leaving their dogmatic, privileged substance they'd find themselves on path, whitch is destination itself, just from different orientations. i, rational, believe in spiritual evolution. others may stick;)

That scientific process which "means nothing" GAVE you the anti-cancer treatment you're assuredly taking RIGHT now.
generalataris 1 year ago
@generalataris Diseases ARE caused by negative emotions too, you know? Why do we worry so much about stress? Plus, have you ever seen a demon possessed person, they look very sickly and disturbed. I have not come across them, but heard about them.
I never said I was against the scientific process; I just don't think the evolutionary system fits it---'cause you can't repeat it. Peer reviews can be biased, that was my point. Yes, chemo is tough bud. : )
compgrad1 1 year ago
What you're describing might be the most UNdemocratic thing I can imagine. No matter the merit of an idea, or the evidence, the most popular view should take precedent?
Make no mistake; evolution is a fact. It is the most well-evidenced concept in biology, and a corner of stone of genetics, virology, et. al. You say you are not "anti-science," but you are; you immediately reject evolution because of your pre-conceived religious notions.
Hence "grown folks" should be "left to choose."
generalataris 1 year ago
@generalataris I thought we lived in a Republic. Sorry, my bad. : )
The most PLAUSIBLE view, the most sensical view should take effect. No, I reject evolution cause you can't repeat it. I still think parents know best. Letting others choose for you would be living under a dictatorship system.
Hence the grown folks choosing, isn't that of a democracy type?
compgrad1 1 year ago
@compgrad1
As a matter of fact, it has been repeated. Read Richard Dawkin's "The Greatest Show on Earth," where they repeated evolution in a lab scenario over the course of decades.
generalataris 1 year ago
@generalataris How would someone repeat evolution? I don't want to read it...I've heard he likes to take shots at Creationists, that is from a safe distance, haha. He wouldn't debate one.
compgrad1 1 year ago
@compgrad1 there is no need to repeat it. It has been observed on a cellular and bacterial level. Take for example bacteria in waste dumps that have evolved to consume nylon; nylon is a man-made product first developped about 60 years ago. The life cycle of these creatures is incredibly fast so we are fortunate enough to witness evolution.
Evolution in higher life forms is considerably slower and not as easily observed first-hand. The fossil record tracks their development quite well.
OneSoullessAtheist 11 months ago
@OneSoullessAtheist Sure it has to be repeated. Results must be peer reviewed. Consuming nylon does not constitute evolution; it proves that bacteria can adapt, perhaps by mutation or another preexistent mechnanism besides evolution. Also nylon is a product of petroleum, so it's not a new product per se, just a different formula.
compgrad1 11 months ago

Yes, in the mean time, let's also present the flat-earth view of geography, or the Stork version of human production, or the "spirits" version of human disease.
generalataris 1 year ago
@generalataris I don't believe in a flat-earth, the Bible doesn't teach it. It teaches that God hangs the Earth on nothing and it's rounded. Please read the Bible. Stork reproduction? Human diseases can be caused by negative emotion, resulting from toxic releases in the cells, thereby causing some diseases.
Are you saying that stress doesn't exist and does not cause diseases....
compgrad1 1 year ago
@compgrad1
I.D. is very fundamentally NOT science, and it's not close.
generalataris 1 year ago
@generalataris Thank you sooo much gen. for the diagnosis....
However, you miscomprehended or misread me when I said let the "people" i.e. moms and dads, the
taxpayers you know... choose.
See, peer review means almost zip when you're all in it together, how about doing a criss cross and each
other review the opponent's work. I am not against science, I just don't believe the evolutionary and
abiogenesis view.
If we let them "grown folks" choose, evolution will be gone.

TacticalAtheist 1 year ago 21
@TacticalAtheist It can however be just as extremist - but with far worse consequences than extreme coffee drinking. Many Atheist have simply dropped one extreme ideology for another. The propensity to be extremist is more related to personality disorder than ideology.
Sociopaths thrive on people that tend to embrace the extreme - and the Atheist movement is rampant with extremist and more than it's fare share of sociopaths.
AMilitantAgnostic 6 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic
You are mistaken on sociopaths.
And your name is ridiculous.
Phaze252 6 months ago
@Phaze252 Excuse me? Sociopaths, thrive on small extremist groups like Atheist. The big names Stalin, Mou, Pol Pot, are the exception. Most sociopaths operate in a small group, or in larger groups, but not as the leadership.
There are sociopaths that use and even train other sociopaths in a complex sociopaths hierarchy.
Not giving a shit about the cause, the goal is to manipulate others into destructive dangerous behaviors - receiving vindication and pleasure from the pain they cause.
AMilitantAgnostic 6 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic
Phaze252 6 months ago
@Phaze252 LOL no no no, they can't be in MY group... You really have no clue what you are talking about - you seem to just pass over my assertion that Sociopaths thrive in small groups full of extremist.
Most Sociopaths in fact never have more than family in their group, as most people are easily taken in at first, but soon see the manipulation for what it is. Extremist have a hard time seeing that.
AMilitantAgnostic 6 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic
Phaze252 6 months ago
@Phaze252 In general most ppl are not sociopaths (3-5%) the number of extremist depends on how you define the word. My interpretation of extremism is not all that broad, (it's tied up in just how far down the rabbit hole of "absolute certainty" a person is willing to go) but I think that about 1/3 of the pop is susceptible to becoming extremist in the right situation.
AMilitantAgnostic 6 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic
Phaze252 6 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic Yep your are completely correct. Isn't 10 years since extremist Atheists flew some airplanes into some buildings? No Wait...
TacticalAtheist 6 months ago
@TacticalAtheist How long has it been since an extremist Atheist conducted a genocide?
Being an Agnostic allows me to look at both extremes equally - if you can't see the extremism in your own camp could it be that you are deluding yourself? Just as many Christians or Muslims can't see the vile behavior of their leaders, Atheist seem to have a rather strange devotion to the dogma of their philosophy also. To an Agnostic, your selective vision is all too familiar.
AMilitantAgnostic 6 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic What extremist acts are you referring to? Not reading the bible? Not reading the coran? Not telling kids they will burn in hell? Not collecting stamps! There is no. Atheism is a general term we use to describe ourselves because the religious and people like you dont have the capacity to understand our position. It's not that we vehemently believe something different from you. It's simply that we understand there is nothing to believe in outside of the real world.
TacticalAtheist 5 months ago
@TacticalAtheist "It's simply that we understand there is nothing to believe in outside of the real world."
Define "real world"
The extremist act I was referring to is obviously genocide - but there are other lesser extremist acts...
AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago

AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic No. Now you are just making up things to say aren't you! The real world is that which is and can be observed. The religious world is that what is made up to make idiots feel good about themselves. Is it that hard for you to understand?
TacticalAtheist 5 months ago
@TacticalAtheist -- The record of things once thought impossible to exist - yet that do - is evidently a mystery to arrogant, and the absolutely certain Atheist.
Are you afraid of not knowing something? You're human, get over it, we do not know if there is a God. You have nothing approaching compelling evidence, one way or the other - yet through faith you live a live as if you magically know.
Deluded Atheist Syndrome
AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic Please drink less coffee before posting. There are few things I am afraid of, and knowing that there is no god is not one of them. It is quite simple really, The first religions were simple and basic, conjured up by primitive minds. Each generation adding to the myths and fables until they Evolved into the Tens of Thousands of religions we have today. Each religion stealing and borrowing myths from the previous one to indoctrinate the gullible, ignorant, scared masses.
TacticalAtheist 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic The fact that there are some thirty thousand versions of the bible and even more versions of Christianity prove there is not a christian god. The fact that Islam is obviously a rehash of the jewish and christian faiths proves there is no god of the muslims. The fact that when anyone has tried to test or scrutinize any religious text the findings ALWAYS come back with the same answers. Every faith ever thought up is a collection of story's told to simpletons for power & wealth.
TacticalAtheist 5 months ago
@TacticalAtheist Yes and and I find the theist stories almost as ludicrous as the Atheist living life as if they somehow magically 'know' there is not a God.
You're all living in faith... YOU just don't seen to know it yet.
AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic Again with the ignorance. We don't have a faith you Muppet! When will you understand that we are the normal people. We are the control. After us comes the morons who believe in fairy tales and want us to believe as well. It is not us making up magical space fairy's that pop beings out of thin air and then trying to convince you that its real. You are the one selling the bullshit and we are not buying it. It's not that we have bought something else! We dont buy it at all.

@TacticalAtheist - Dude - I'm an agnostic - don't try and label me, it just won't work...
Bottom line: Do you live you life as if there is no first cause to live on this planet? Yes or No?
If you say yes, you are doing so as an act of faith based only on the deluded teachings of other men.
If you say no, you are doing so an act of faith based only on the arrogant teachings of other men.
If you say "I don't know" then you are free from faith...
AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic Let me settle this for you:
The average atheist IS an agnostic. They don't claim that their is no God, only that their is no evidence to support that there is. They're agnostic about God the same way you're agnostic about invisible space monkies. Neither can be proven nor disproven. And to suspect that either exists based on that is retarded. Not to offend retarded people or anything! Because damn, some of them are strong, and you don't want to piss THEM off!
blackkakari 5 months ago
@blackkakari - "They (atheist) don't claim that their is no God, only that their is no evidence to support that there is." Sorry your average Atheist claims there is not a God, despite the lack of evidence on the subject. Most live a lifetime trying to evangelize others to accept their propaganda, by faith. I'm not agnostic about space monkeys, I'm Agnostic about the existence of God, as the probability of a God like being is much more likely (and scientifically important) than space monkeys.
AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic Atheists say "there is no God" the same way anyone else would say "there are no space monkies". Until VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE is shown that in any way SUGGESTS EITHER MAY EXIST, the two have equal credibility; none. The concept of "God" is a redundent cop out no different than "the world is on the back of a giant turtle" arguement; throughout history man has been ignorant of the world around him, and has made baseless claims to explain it, all based on nothing more than faith.
blackkakari 5 months ago
@blackkakari If you can't see more evidence for god, than for space monkeys - then as an agnostic I'd conclude that you've formed an irrational opinion on the subject. An opinion so strong, that you've allowed yourself to live absolutely certain, you are correct. Again as an agnostic, I would claim your absolute certainty is a manifestation or "faith" in your conviction. Your conviction compels you to ignore reasonable examination of reality.
Acting like you know, helps who?
AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic I knew you'd say that. Okay then, show me ONE piece of evidence that gives the concept of God any more credibility than the space monkies. ONE! You won't be able to give me one REAL piece of verifiable evidence, but I'm willing to humor you. So go on. One real piece of verifiable evidence. I'm waiting...
blackkakari 5 months ago
@blackkakari Easy - I have a few - to make it simple let me ask you - define what you would accept as "god".
Something like, "a being or beings of a non-earth origin that are responsible for life on earth". Or would you like to go more complex than that? It's up to you.
"A being or beings of a non-universe origin that are responsible for life on earth?"
Just clarify the confines you wish for me to work in, and I will help you out.
I don't log in everyday so, if you have to wait, tough.
AMilitantAgnostic 5 months ago
@AMilitantAgnostic I'm glad we're getting into specifics, now. I thought you were talking about religion's version of God, thus misunderstanding your arguement. I actually agree with you that there might be some form of higher collective conciousness. Perhaps comprised of every lifeform acting as brain cells for a single "mind". I think ultimately that the terms "atheist" and "agnostic" are just semantics. As few atheists would claim there is undeniably no higher consciousness of any kind.
blackkakari 5 months ago
@TacticalAtheist Or my favorite is (I'm an atheist like yourself), "Yeah, atheism is a religion like 'OFF' is a TV channel."
danning1 5 months ago 7
@danning1 "off" is just the action of having no ability or work. aka lazy and without intelligence. Someone who is off has the ability to be turned on to serve a purpose. But if they do not accept that position of "on" then they are just taking up space.

See what atheism is doing to the youth. It gives it's followers no morality. This is America, not Nazi Germany. Take your eugenics elsewhere. Move to India and become dominated by the caste system.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 Lol, Germany was religious and so were most if not all Nazis you fool. "God with us" was even their slogan!
Religion offers no morality, only fear of punishment. Atheists don't do good things to get a reward, they do it for the sake of doing good things. That's called being a moral person, something religious people are not. There's a reason why a much higher percentage of religious people are in jail than atheists.
iSOBigD 1 year ago
@iSOBigD Germany as a country may have been religious, but what part of Christianity teaches to kill your enemy? My point. Hitler was an atheist and his practice with eugenics is proof of it. He never followed any of the bible's commandments nor Jesus'. Religion offers morality because it gives us the answers to right and wrong. Christians don't do good things for a reward either, we also do it for the sake of man and to glofy God.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@iSOBigD There are two reasons for the higher percentages of religious people in jail. One is, once you've hit rock bottom, you've messed your life up, there's salvation through Christ and redemption, something atheism doesn't offer. Another reason is because this nation is full of mostly religious people. Now whether they act in a matter that doesn't glorify or satisfy God is their own thing. That's between them and God.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 I don't think you understand percentages. If you have 10 atheists and 10 religious people, and out of them, 1 atheist is a criminal and 8 religious people are criminals, there is a higher percentage of religious people who are criminals. You mentioned morals and I gave you a clear example showing that atheists are more moral than religious people. The world's most peaceful countries even today are mainly atheist. The ones at war? Religious.
iSOBigD 1 year ago
@iSOBigD I do understand, and my reply makes perfect sense. If you have higher percentages of religious people in the world, the majority of prisoners are likely to be religious. It doesn't mean that religions don't offer morality, it's that their followers don't follow that morality. You should hold the followers acountable, not the religion.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 No. Cody, please learn some basic math. Here's an example: 2 out of 10 religious people end up in prison. 0.5 out of 10 atheists end up in prison. In that example, religious people are 4 times more likely to end up in prison than non-religious ones. Countries like Sweden, Norway, and others which are mostly not religious have some of the healthiest people and lowest crime rates in the world. Religious countries of any faith have much more crime per capita.
iSOBigD 1 year ago
@iSOBigD Ok, let me put this into a fuller spectrum for you. If we take the earth's population (roughly 6.8 billion people) and say that 5 billion have some kind of belief, and you take the other 1.8 billion that claim they have none. According to your statistics, 1 billion religious people are imprisioned while only 90 million are atheists. My reply that people find religion in jail makes perfect sense and still refutes your argument. Accept it already.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 This is reductio ad absurdum, a really weak argument. You're ''perfect sense'' is based on nothing and therefore invalid.
jscanyon 1 year ago
@iSOBigD There is no such poll keep statistics on the number of people going into jail being atheist or Christian. Naturally preachers, priests, and pastors are going to preach the Gospel to those who need to hear it most, which happen to be in jail. How many people kill someone, go to jail, THEN lose their faith in God and claim to be an atheist?
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 Actually there is: The Federal Bereau of Prison Statistics by research analyst Denise Golumbaski conducted this study. Interesting enough Christians came out on top with roughly 80% those included catholics, protestants, church of christ etc.. Rastafarians had more in prison with1.987%. than Atheists which were at 0.209% only Hindus, Santeria,Sikh,Bahai and Krishna had lower percentages than Atheists. It's an indepth study by professionals in their field.
jscanyon 1 year ago
@codyhill06 Not very many. In fact, the opposite happens all the time. Also, you just implied yourself that they're believers when they commit the crimes...so things don't look good for your little "atheists" are evil opinion. The point is, atheists don't do bad things because they're good people, not because they're bad people who are afraid of hell. That's a very important difference. We know what's right and the commandments have nothing to do with that.
iSOBigD 1 year ago
@iSOBigD You're now mixing all religions, which I personally don't stand for. I'll gladly stand for Christian nations and say that, if they are at war, it should be to liberate a country or at least restore human rights with the intent to glorify God by following biblical commandments.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@iSOBigD I've been to Germany twice and I can tell you, the Nazi leaders did not act in accordance with the Christian commandments. It doesn't take a scientist or a sociologist to figure that out. You want to call me a fool, but you're ignorant to my statement, idiot.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 It's nice that you've been to Germany, but you commented about Hitler being an atheist, and that is a lie. He was a Catholic, he went to church, etc. The Catholic church never said "he's not Catholic, we want nothing to do with him!" while he was going around killing Jews so don't make stuff up please. Now that I've proven you wrong, I want to say that his religion is irrelevant. He also had a mustache, does that mean everyone with a mustache is as bad as Hitler?
iSOBigD 1 year ago
@iSOBigD Can you show me which part of the New Testament that Hitler followed when he commanded the genocide of the Jews? I can show you several parts that condemn what he did.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 "My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth!" -Adolph Hitler in a speech on April 12, 1922 'The Speeches of Adolph Hitler' Vol 1 p. 19-20 Oxford University Press,1942.
jscanyon 1 year ago
@jscanyon Anyone can claim to be a Christian, if he doesn't follow the commandments it makes his claim invalid. Does his actions not seem a little unorthadox to you? He may have claimed to be a Catholic and even used God in his speeches, but let's be honest, he didn't follow the commandments in the New Testament. So this repetative notion that he was a Christian fails. When you show me some examples of Hitler acting out as a Christian, and not just professing to be one.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@jscanyon That's a major problem even in today's world. People want to claim they're a Christian and yet they don't die out to their sinful ways. So we can only say, this person doesn't follow the bible so they're not truly a Christian, they only profess to being one. It's the same if I claim to be a mechanic yet can't do any of the basic mechanical work such as change the oil in a car or replace a headlight. My actions then make my claim invalid or majorly faulty.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@iSOBigD You haven't proven me wrong, you've proven yourself ignorant to the Bible. His lack of following Christianity is relevant because it shows that atheism mixed with hatred spawns a genocide. Now if you want to mention the Crusades, that's simply Christians not following their commandments.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 Oh I see, so every Christian person who commits crimes is not considered Christian anymore?! Hahaha! So by your logic, 100% of Christians are perfect, except those who are not, because those aren't Christians anymore. Argument over, you win. I give up since you're an illogical person and you cherry pick your Christians.
iSOBigD 1 year ago
@iSOBigD What part of being a born-again Christian says you can start a genocide, physically abuse someone into believing something, and commit crimes? There is a dying-out to the old ways and accepting a different path. Someone doing evil may have claimed to be a Christian, but when they sinned inspite of being saved, they are rebuking their beliefs.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@iSOBigD Just as you don't want to accept Stalin and Hitler as atheists, I am just as able to dismiss people claiming to be Christian doing evil as non-Christians. There is a difference from their beliefs and repentance and their actions and intentions.
codyhill06 1 year ago
@codyhill06 Actually eugenics was of interest to many people abroad including FDR at the time, most recently with China and the population of it's country. The Nazis took it as something for ethnic cleansing. Do you really know what eugenics is???? Your argument is yet again based on nothing, it's known a hasty generalization and straw man argument, again no facts.

She'll make a lot of money off of it, but she'll be empty inside, never having found the true God, the Creator of all.

@aThinkingChristian You're not a thinking chrisitian - you're just regurgitating what you've been told. Chrisitianity is based on doctrine and indoctrination; it discourages free and independent thought and you're demonstrating that very clearly.
masala505 1 year ago
@masala505 And unless you're a scientist you regurgitate what you're told, too, so let's be honest here, shall we? ;-) Bottom line: I have examined the evidence on both sides and concluded with my brain that God made that evolution is impossible and never happened. Now the mathematical probabilities back me up on that. Evolution has NEVER once been observed, so it's not backed by "science." It's totally faith-based. You have ever right to believe it, but it doesn't make it true.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@aThinkingChristian I am not a scientist and I do not need to be one to understand evolution. If you think that evolution has never been observed then you clearly have not read, or certainly not understood, the overwhelming evidence for evolution. I tend to think you simply choose to ignore it. How can you say evolution is faith based? It is based on 150 years of concurring evidence in all the sciences. Furthermore, are you basing your "evidence" on the bible ...deary me, that's feeble!
masala505 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian You can't possible believe in creationism - it flies in the face of all reason. It's incredible...or just plain silly! It amazes me how you can say the things you say. Your writing style is so lucid, yet what you say is so pityful! You seem to be your own contradiction. I find it especially hard to understand as I'm Swiss and Switzerland is an athiest country. We tend to see religious people as being uneducated or foreign.
masala505 1 year ago
@masala505 Right! Because it's totally logical that an explosion of matter that came from NOTHING (!) made a universe full of order and inter-working complexity, right? And from that came humanity against all conceivable mathematical probability.
"But with enough TIME, 'anything' is possible." LOLLLLLLL! Believe on!
What I'm really hoping is that people like you would actually use some of that time to think through what you believe. Because to the true thinkers, what you believe is silly.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian For your information, it is a proven fact that matter can appear and disappear. This has been part of quantum theory and has been proved in particle accelerators. While this is counter intuitive, it fits with what we know about matter particles. So as it happens, yes it is possible that the universe just came into existence from NOTHING. Equally it is possible that all the matter in a previous universe became one singularity, and that is where this universe came from.
xNoReligionx 1 year ago
@xNoReligionx The problem with your argument is that it is totally illogical. NOTHING can't create anything. It is NO-THING. Now, pushing "theories," and that's all they are, desperate theories, to try and explain the impossible (from a naturalistic position) doesn't fool anyone. Furthermore, these theories shouldn't be pushed as science, since it's impossible to observe, and no one was there to observe. You call me a liar, but the dishonesty lies at your door. Gen. 1:1 makes MUCH more sense.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian So what about God then, according to you he just came into existence, but you just said that's impossible, so now you don't believe in God. Which is it, can something come from nothing or NOT? YES OR NO
xNoReligionx 1 year ago
@xNoReligionx Well, if there is a God, and that God is Jehovah of the Bible, then he's eternal. He had no beginning. That's what the Bible teaches. But he's God. That's not hard to understand.
But your quandary is that you're seeking a purely naturalistic explanation for the universe, and it's understandably a little uncomfortable when it comes to what was there before the so-called "Big Bang"? Theories are nice things, but there is no way to actually prove it in this case. It's not science.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian Yeah that's right, it's called special pleading. Your God is special because some old books says so.. that's not evidence it's illogical.
So if you can have special pleading I can... "the universe is eternal and it didn't need a creator, it expands and contracts roughly every 30 billion years" Done.
How you MORONS can't see that this is the same bullshit as your FUCKING GOD is eternal I don't know, perhaps you are the missing link :)
xNoReligionx 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian The truth is there are millions of possibilities as to how the universe, our planet and life came about, and we are finding out more and more every day. But to say "God Done it" is LAZY, CHILDISH, and a LIE!

@aThinkingChristian Isn't your name an oxymoron ThinkingChristian... I know loads of Thinking Christians, they are called Atheists.

@aThinkingChristian You obviously haven't read, or don't understand, the arguments. You shouldn't call yourself a thinking christian because you don't do any thinking, you just believe what you're told. Time to grow up and think for yourself!
masala505 1 year ago
@masala505 Actually, I understand the arguments quite well. I've been debating this stuff for 15 yrs. What you need to understand is that the evidence available is available to everyone. The issue is INTERPRETATION. Creationists feel that the evidence supports a case for intelligent design. You say differently. But in the end BOTH are faith-based because there were no eyewitnesses.
Oh, and you can stop with the "think for yourself" banter. NO ONE is an island & exercises 100% original thought.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian You have been arguing it for 15 years, well that's pathetic you'd think you would have a better argument by now. Interpretation, yeah that's a great word. See in science, we don't interpret stuff, it either works or it does not. You only need interpretation when you have to twist things around to fit your version of reality. which is what you idiots do, and that's why we laugh at you all the time.
xNoReligionx 1 year ago
@xNoReligionx So the massive holes in the fossil record, do they "work" or not? And what about the lack of billions and billions of transitional forms if evolution is true? Does that "work" or not?
Let's see who does some twisting now of reality. LOL!
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian No twisting required, just some education on your part. Lets start by asking you if you understand how a fossil is made and what the likelihood of any particular creature of being fossilized? Now lets not beat around the bush here, you can see where I'm going, the fact that we have any fossils is just amazing. As for transitions if you idiots would bother to undersand how evolution works you would not say such a dumb thing. I don't need any fossils to prove Evolution.
xNoReligionx 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian Three letters DNA... that's it, a slam dunk from science to the delusional. When you look at DNA and compare it between different species, it becomes very evident that there is a "family tree". Similar codons are found all over the genome, and they follow exactly the sort of pattern one might expect if these creatures had evolved from one another and branched and so forth. In fact the evidence is so strong, if you GOD did it then he's deceitful to have made it appear so.
xNoReligionx 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian So finally you can run along now with your tail between your legs and your delusion battered, but no doubt still in tact. brainwashing is a powerful thing.

@xNoReligionx Somehow you've mistaken me for perhaps another Christian you felt you beat up on. Sorry, but I'm not impressed or intimidated by your ranting and name calling. However, I kind of make a practice to deal only with CIVILIZED people, so since you've obviously shown you are not that type of person, I'll have to cut this short. Learn to be civil to people and then maybe we can continue some time.

xNoReligionx 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian Two points to say: Firstly, you're correct, no one's an island with 100% original thought. Secondly, your point on there's no eye witnesses is absolutely feeble. There's no eye witnesses for Zeus, Apollo, the flying spegetti monster but we can assume through the lack of evidence that none of them really existed. Assuming that there is no god is not faith based it is because there's absolutely no indication to believe otherwise - you must see that surely?
masala505 1 year ago
@masala505 Isn't observation part of the scientific process to determine scientific fact?
So let me ask you, when you observe the universe from the cosmos to living things, do they seem ordered and designed, or in a state of chaos (which would be the natural result of something beginning with a big explosion)?
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian They have every right to have the museum but they don't have the right to market it as science to school children. School and education is a state affair and the museum has a fundamental Christian agenda. Furthermore, if you're empty inside without believing in fairy tales then you need to take a long hard look at yourself!
masala505 1 year ago
@masala505 Yes they most certainly do! Because it IS true science, and there are thousands of scientists who believe it and back it up.
You're also very wrong about the state running education. We may have a public school system (as putrid as it is), but there are thousands of parents who home school (I am one of them) or use private schools. And the high academic statistics of the latter two FAR, FAR outweigh those of the former.
It is not I who believe in fairy tales. Evolution is a joke.
