google "alpacka raft", and also do a search on youtube, there are quite a few vids. Some of them running class IV or better rapids. They're very durable, and the smallest of them weighs less than 5 lbs!

I appreciate your thoughts. I just got back from Lake Tahoe to packraft the truckee river which unknowingly closed a month ago. It was running at 75cfms and much of it was ankle deep but not at bad as this river where we needed to bushwhack for several hours and struggle through shallow water for 7 hours overall. What you see here was the 'fun part'. Warmly, Laurie
