  • Man that's fast. Thanks

  • Good thinking, great video.

  • I like it !

  • Very kool setup.

  • Outstanding !

  • wow, trimming brass with a wilson trimmer is such a pain in the ass! It takes forever. Plus your hand is throbbing from holding the case in place.

  • Nice!!!

  • how did you get the cases to be held firmly, I am using a lee trimmer set and it;s a pain as the case sometimes spins. I like your quick release set up but can't figure out how you did it.

  • Did you make the 3 way cutter that trims and chamfers and deburs all in one?? I have been watching this vid, I have literally thousands of brass I have to do ever so often, This would be awsome. Can you give more details to this please? I have a Lyman Lathe Trimmer. Looking at building a new trimmer with the aid of a friend with a lathe to turn on...

  • I was just taking a break from the pain staking standard method, when I jumped on line to find a better way and found this..........woohoo!!!........made my day, I even have that trimmer. I am going shopping. Thanks for sharing and sparing me tendinitis and more blisters.

  • look out detroit/assembly line

  • Thanks, I see what it is now, you have a screw driver installed where the "T" handle for tightening the collet used to be. I wonder if the lever and plate would work better.

  • Is that just the stock case holder on that trimmer? I can't seem to fine anyting that looks or works like that.

    Thanks

    Glenn

  • It's the older model with the collet type shellholder. The new one has the lever with a plate type shell holder.

  • when he is trimming, does he just eye it up and know when to stop and measure later?? I'm very new to all this and need advise.

  • The trimmer is adjusted so that it will not trim cases too short.

  • @mycaddigo Look at his drill bit, there is a stop there that as he said below adjusts so it's not too short. It's an excellent tool to use if you're short on cash.

  • haha, now you should add the steel wool to polish the case somehow on there and you skip the tumbling part too! Great stuff! great stuff!

  • great trimmer. where can I get one of those cutters to fit a lyman case trimmer with simular case holder?

    Dave

  • SO what did this setup cost ya ll up?

  • Sweet, you have inspired me to make something similar, thanks

  • Now that's thinking with your dipstick jimmy. I remember the good old days using a Forster case trimmer and having a black circle on my palm for about a week after.

  • Nice set up!!!!!

    I hate to trim cases!!!!!

    That looks fairly painless!

  • Awsome, that would eliminate alot of blisters

  • When I get my reloading gear I'm going to borrow your set up.

  • Nice setup but watch out for the spinning cutter.

I have been doing something like this with a Forster but it is not nearly as fast and as efficient.

  • This looks like a brilliant setup! I am assuming that this would require the "older" RCBS Trim pro? Any idea where I can find it and anything else I might need to copy your setup?

  • I gotta say this is really cool!

  • i love it !!

  • brilliant!!!!!!!

  • Nice vid dude - thanks for posting this. I've been looking for a faster way to trim brass than what I've been doing with a powered screwdriver and Lee ball trimmer.

I'm copying your setup for sure.

  • i do the same damn thing,. but use a cordless drill, as it stops faster after trigger release

  • Yeah I need a cordless. Since the video I've made another brass chute out of some thin steel sheet metal to replace the cardboard. It works like a charm and just hooks right under the trimmer so setup is a snap.

  • What's your setup here? What tools are you using?

  • RCBS Trim pro (the old model with the collet type case holder), power adapter for trim pro, and trim pro 3-way cutter.
