  • What models did you have there?

  • the 3rd suppressor carried the sound more than the first 2

  • The 4th suppressor appears to be a Type-5 .223 model from Mid States Armory in Missouri. The first round appeared to be louder than the second and third. These tests were done with supersonic ammo, if you use sub sonic all you would hear would be the bolt cycling. The odd thing about these things is if you fire across an open field you hear the crack, but it appears to be coming at you, you only hear the report when it bounces back at you from obstructions in front of you.

  • yea the third so im guessin the noise heard is the echo of the round

  • the third is best i think

  • the 3rd one seemed most quiet. Which type of suppressor was the 3rd one?

  • I can testify that the 3rd is indeed the M4-2000... I train with them frequently, and there is no mistaking one for me. The end is slightly rounded, for those confused here...

  • The author listed the 3rd one as the AAC M4-2000. It did seem the most quiet, with the TAC16 a close 2nd. No doubt that the 4th one was louder, as its a goofy-ass suppressor.

  • It's prolly just an unpainted Form 1 can

  • i wonder if i shoved a silencer up my ass if i could get across the border home to canada.. the hard part would be going back for the gun :)

  • thats cool, been lookin for a vid like that, thanks

  • never a shortage of these:)

  • haha yup

  • lool he fort i silencer makes it "silent" loool!

  • @Scottactical I know right lol. Dam movies produced BS gun myths that everyone believes on silencers lol

  • lol

you have to turn your computers volume down to the minimum and wear some hearing protection... so you wont hear anything.. thats how silencers work :-)

  • @MuslimBob your an idiot

  • Awesome comparison, nice to hear that the TAC16 was on top (to my ears listening on the computer anyway). I'm waiting for mine to come in right now.

  • the last one was the worst, but the other three were equal :)

  • the last was the "multi-cal" with the bigger hole in the end.

  • Suppressors should be legal because they are a form of hearing protection.

  • I think 32 of 50 states they are legal for civi ownership. I get your point though, "I'd like two boxes of your WWB 45's and an....well lets see.....i think I'll try the EVO 45 today too please." "Have a nice day sir:)" Thats how the conversation at Wally World SHOULD be. A good guy trying to protect the hearing of ALL around him. DAMN!!, the alarm just went off, I was dreaming:(

  • Nice to see them all compared like this back to back.

  • None were AAC M4-2K or M4-1Ks. The endcaps are not flat on those.

The first appeared to be a TAC with the holes around circumference and I'd bet that 3 out of 4 were new TAC cans being tested against the low cost YHM- just above their price point.

  • 1st is the TAC16 from Tactical Innovations, 2nd is the YHM PHANTOM Q/D ,3rd is the AAC M4 2000, and 4th is a Multi-Cal

  • The endcaps are flat on the M4-2k. They are only rounded on the 1k.

  • I believe that's the YHM mount sitting during third test but the second didn't seem to have YHM pineapple grenade cuts.

  • 3rd one is best. whichever that is.

  • Could you please add the 4 suppressor types and the firing order to the video description? That would be helpful.

  • Standard full power M855 ammo used. 1st is the TAC16 from Tactical Innovations, 2nd is the YHM PHANTOM Q/D ,3rd is the AAC M4 2000, and 4th is a Multi-Cal suppresor. Target hitting sound is a silliouette turkey @200yds:) NO hearing protection is needed with any of these suppressors, with any ammo.

  • quiet..... yea rite

  • Take your muffler/exhaust off your car.....now you know.

  • Do you honestly think that something that breaks the sound barrier can actually be silent? As far as I know, there's no magic pixie dust that is able to remove the sonic boom from a projectile traveling at Mach 2-3.

  • The object of a silencer is silence the cartridge, not the bullet.

  • That's why with most rifles silencers are just more to hide the flash and the very loud muzzle shock wave. But you are right, it doesn't do much for the bullet.

  • Sounded to me like the 3rd one was the quitest, but really, they are all very close

  • im sure you know, but it looke dlike the aac qd flash hider was sitting on the table when the third silencer was fireing?

  • that is the YHM Phantom FH:)

  • Have you shot a Gemtech M4-02? I'm deciding that or that tac16.

  • I haven't heard the Gemtech.

  • Did you shoot that 4th can wet? you can see the projectile exiting or mabye its what ever you put in there.

  • The 4th (silver)is a multi-cal can. It has a bigger hole in it for larger calibers...

  • Not wet. The 4th is a multi-cal suppressor. (I think up to .30") Larger hole letting out more gases:)

  • I've been defending my TAC-16 for some time, glad to hear that the YHM actually appears to be a bit louder!

  • Yep, it holds it's own AND it comes apart!! HA!

  • Seriously, this video has shut up more than 1 naysayer on silencer talk -- thanks so much for posting this!!!
