Ernie was after Johnny. Both were good and still can sing. However, Johnny Parrack is not only the greatest Kingsmen tenor ever, he's the greatest old-time gospel tenor in the history of gospel music.

Ernie was my favorite until I heard Johnny Parrack. Now, THIS guy can SING!!! And he makes it look so easy!! I was, and still am, more impressed every time I hear him. Do you know whether or not he is still performing? It would be a shame to let that talent go to waste. Keep up the good work.

Wow....Ray Dean is so young!! LOL!! I think Gary Shepard was the best tenor for the Kingsmen. But one thing is for sure...they were able to mantain a certain sound even when changing members! Thanks for posting this!
