@BlameTruth99 the way i see it it was his time and he litteraly "felt" death's touch :P that makes him cooler and it makes him seem like a cruel pro and not some guy who got annoyed but a fly and smashed it, just because he has godlike powers ^_^ but maybe you're right and it's not that epic and symbolic....

In less than 2 minutes, Death became the ultimate badass in the entire series. Does that constitute as epic? Yes. Even god was aroused by his awesomeness (as well as intimidated).

The original song is by Ralph Stanley he is the one who wrote the song and she just made a shorter creepier version which i love

God...this is the best, most badass intro to a character EVER.

Death is my favourite horseman. Not only for this intro, which sends chills down my spine, but also because of how....chaotic neutral he is.

He hated that Lucifer had him on a leash, so he decided to enlist Dean to do his work.

In the end, he's looking out for himself.

It makes him more powerful than God. He said so himself...even God has to die.

I have to say of the four Horsemen in this series death is probably my favorite I mean he doesn't really seem to be evil at all like the others he's just concerned with maintaining the natural order of things. Famine War and Pestilence all seemed to be actively causing damage while Death just rolled with the punches. He even helped Sam and Dean out by giving them his ring willingly and showing them what to do. Plus the song is cool.

Damn, when i saw this episode n saw death walkin with his cane, all powerful, commanding, fearful, n basically tormenting, i literally got the fuckin chills!! Think my favorite part of the Horsemen this season was there rides. By far my favorite is Death's because his is supposed to be a "pale horse" and it is a matte white paint job, most likely no top coat of shiny poly to protect it. Awesome

Nice that they reused the royally creepy "O Death" song from the promos for this season. They couldn't find more appropriate background music for Death's intro.

A fine lesson learned here. If you're walking in one direction and the Grim Reaper is walking in the other, kindly step aside and let him pass. And don't insult him.

I loved Death's intro...I think it was the best one out of all the horsemen! And that car is just *gorgeous*! To those asking for the song, like I was when I heard it, it's called "Oh Death" (Or 'O Death'), and seems to be originally sung by Ralph Stanley. The version here is sung by Jen Titus.
