Totally priceless. Until recently, I worked in video dating back to the demise of 16mm motion picture camera days- pre-VHS... yet my audio experience is nearly ZIP (long story).
This is really worthy stuff!
Trying to get back on my horse, and just generate something for fun, is most difficult. But it's stuff like this that really helps visualize the end product, even though you are talking about the audio end of things. All good.
My couch is looking at me, saying..."Why don't you ever put your head inside me?" hahaha. Seriously though, very creative stuff Ryan...totally impressed
The secrets are out. We've just seen how the sausage is made. Hey, it works - well. (Ok, the MS headset sounded like it was raining in the background. or was it?) But the fort rules.
Yes, my Powerbook is at the Apple store now having a fan replaced. Having the Genius bar is a really nice feature IF you live near a store.
love this :) such a great idea and best of all i now have a legitimate reason to build a couch fort :D bah who am i kidding the wife and kids will still look at me strangely
great idea though seriously, thanks for sharing :)
I would hope that if I was ever discovered in a couch fort talking to myself, I would be quick enough to think of a convincing reason like 'voice recording' too.
I love the couch studio. Its awesome. Thanks so much for sharing. I was recently wondering how to get my voice overs to not sounds so hollow and I found your video to be very helpful.
@DeathToAllHamsters Adobe Premiere Pro, sometimes After Effects when I feel like being fancy. I tried Win Movie Maker on a friends computer, nearly shot myself.
@DeathToAllHamsters I started out on a Mac, but they are just to expensive. Bought a HP Envy with nearly twice the power as a MBP, for half the price of one.
@halfthrottle hehe yer the prices are nuts :S + here in denmark it takes from 2 to 6 months to get new stuff for your mac if some thing busts in it thats just wacky :S
@halfthrottle oh yer alot of the ppl i know here who had mac at some point were sure they never ever would get a pc untill it broke then they got them self a pc lol
@DeathToAllHamsters One great thing about a Mac is the customer service they offer. I can't just go to a HP store and say, "Fix this." But if you live near a Apple store that is a pretty awesome service to have.

@FPSbob1 Voice recording works. But I'm sometimes honest and just whimper, "I think there's a monster under the bed."
