  • Keep singing! You and I share the same issue, even though I'm a bass: resonance in the highest note. It comes with time, however.

The other thing would be dynamics. I felt as though your volume was too consistent. I'm sure you've received other similar comments. You will have it though.

Also, I have a crush on you. Maybe we can date if we end up famous opera singers!

  • Beautiful. I love how easily the emotion flows across your face. Just magnificent! :)

  • Wow! You have a gorgeous voice. Great job! :)

  • I added this to my faves. :) I thought you did a very good job, however don't be afraid of the high notes. Me and you are kind of in the same boat with that one lol, I have to learn this, and I always end up closing my throat. My vocal teacher tells me to do the "apogo" whatever thats spelled, and it's when you make a yawn shape in the back of your throat. VERY helpful!

  • realllly good!

  • i loved it (:

  • Beautiful colour. I's just add what others said: don't be afraid of your higher notes, open your mouth, relax your jaw and let it go out freely. :)

Btw, where did you find the instrumental version? I'd be interested. Thankies in advance.

  • This is done quite well (:

But yes, you tend to slide on certain notes, like you're stylizing /:

    Just drop your jaw!

The way your shape your mouth and shape your vowels changes the pitch you're on. But I did enjoy listening (:

I'm singing this song too btw (:

  • Also, where's the soul?

  • fix the scoopin girl

  • tres belle voix (mais t'as pas de souffle ^^)

  • dont be so timid going into your high notes!!! they are beautiful and if you just open your mouth and think the note i think you would be suprised at what a beautiful note comes out :)

your head also doesnt need to move so much..... it doesnt play the notes... all of that is on the inside :)

    but really.... your fantastic

  • Fantastic voice you have there.

I hope your in a choir showing off your talents :)

Was it webcam you recorded on?

    Keep up with the singing.

  • Gorgeous voice just remember, if you open your mouth, the note will have more room to go and also be careful on the alfin. don't let your jaw move and do a clean slide. Your pronounciation is wonderful. You are wonderful at keeping your mouth open on the inside, your soft pallet up and it gives us a wonderful, mature sound. great job sweetie.

  • so beautifly made it :D I'm learning that nice song on my lyric sing classes :D .. !! good luck!

  • You sing very nice!!!!

    Congrats!

I'm also singing that in my school.

  • Wonderful singing

  • Bravo, good high notes, just need a little of breathing exercise, but, was wonderful the performance, and lyrics are ok, very very good. I enjoyed it a lot

  • You have a beautiful tone voice. Your high notes sound well support and i love your lower notes. Keep practicing and the most important, keep your love for singing, what's important is that you like what you do.

  • you have a very nice voice :]

some diction issues but italian is super hard to sing if it's not your first language. probably one of the best versions i've heard on youtube thus far (at least "amateur"-wise. good job :] are you taking voice lessons?

  • Salut miss ! Ta voix est très belle, mais attention aux paroles, tu te trompes parfois.

  • Not 2 Bad At All Just You Need 2 Keep Passion There And Alot More Regret

And Maybe Slur The Words Alot Les

    But Really Good OtherWise

Watch Me Sing This Song On

  • Hey Julie, can't be too bad hey with something like 27,633 views of your work, they can't all be wrong! Keep up the good work. How about an updated version of you singing this in 2010, now that you have such a large following?

  • 5/5

    bravo

  • You're French, right? What you're putting out is very sweet and pretty, but I don't think you've got the big voice for classical singing (professionally), but you could do very well a la Celine Dionne with more popular material.

  • I disagree with "bottale".....you do have a voicefor classical music. No one should ever tell you what you can or cannot do. Keep working at it. It is a lovely voice with good flexibility. Don't lift for those high notes...keep singing right in middle with vowel and airflow. Good Luck!!

  • It's supposed to be fast.

  • Very good. I would brighten it up more though...i had the same problem when i studied privately and was singing this song. If you just bring the sound out of your throat a little bit it will make a huge difference.

Your pitch recognition is great. And you are wanting to take it slower than your accompaniment which is fine because many people do that but, you just need a live accompanist.

But i love this song too! Good job.

  • i think its a little too fast. its way better when you have somebody playing the piano for you, makes it more musical

  • Wow very nice, the only thing you need to get better at is your pronunciation, but besides that it was super nice. Nice work.

  • where are you from ??... you accent it's so weird... D

  • Where you place acute notes??

I do not manage to find where they sound well those notes, they are listened to without form... it excuses my English evil, I do not speak it.

  • Beautiful!

I'm sure someone has already mentioned this, but the "t" in Italian is more dental. Try putting your tongue in between your teeth. It makes more of a "d" sound. :]

Otherwise, beautiful! Keep on singing, girl! You got it!

    <3

  • beautiful girl and aria

  • it was good, but the italian needs some work, keep the larnyx down, and the tongue forward, and open your mouth and throat. Don't strain yourself, or your voice. That's the last thing you need. You need more breath control, and the tempo seemed too slow, but it was well done!!!!!!!!! Take the advice everyone gives you: believe me, it all helps.

  • Sorry, one more piece of advice: round your vowels more. It allows air to flow better, plus it sounds prettier, and helps a ton with diction.

  • Bravo!

  • sweety.

  • I think this is beautifuly performed. What a bright future!

  • Beautiful! :-D

  • good beginner voice..i sang this song for my state music festival and received a perfect score.. some friendly advice =] more breath control. the italian also needs some work. keep your larynx down, it will help with the high notes =]. open your mouth more, and open your throat. more space=better sound..also on vowels, stick out those lips =] but good voice.

  • How does one open the throat? Seriously? Depress your tongue? Because thats not going to help you either...

  • if feels like yawning..and the larynx stays down. its not that hard

  • You missed my point. I'm not speaking of technique, or how or how not to do something.

I'm saying that you need to figure out how to put the pedagogy terms into plain english, as when the term "Open your throat" is used, too often it can have confusing or negative side effects.

  • Your accenting is a little off but it was really good! You have a great tone to your voice its full & strong--I can't stand when people's voices sound too breathy. I'd love it if you looked at my vid! I did one of the same song :]

  • You are a great singer . The only thing is really bad on this song with you is your english accent

  • HI!

my only piece of advice would be to not move your head as much. my teacher shits on me about that, because its slightly hazardous for your vocal chords.

other than that, great recording! you have a wonderful soprano voice. don't be afraid to let it out on those F's and G's. you can do it.

  • Wonderful voice, but since this isnt a live accompanist

i would say you should speed up your tempo rather than have it slow down.

  • Mirror mirror on the wall, tell me who I am?

    Your an Operasinger

    No school would reject you.

  • Wunderful stuff, like a bird

  • Nice high notes.

  • from one singer to another your voice is brilliant, and the accent is very good,

With alittle work on your breathing, and support,

you'll have this song hands downs.

  • Well, I always like people who sing, but it seems you have a long road to go. Your voice colour is nice.

    And..

Maybe someone must say that: Behind you, your room, is awesome:)

    Sorry:)

  • you're one of the better ones... but maybe the expression is a bit overstated...sometimes... but that's nothing - it really is a good job.))

  • Sehr gut!

  • Julie. Beautiful voice. I must say that with, I'm guessing, a slight bit of intelligence with the Italian language is was overall pretty nice. A few words not perfect, but that truthfully for all intended purposes matter too much on here. Your voice is fabulous. Do you sing professionally?

  • You have a very nice voice. I think you should look into Italian diction though because you mis-pronounced alot of the words wrong. Instead of singing from the @4 Italian songs and arias, look for 26 italian songs and arias. same song, different arrangement. look for the lower voice though because i don thtink that you are the soprano you think you are.

  • you have a really good vioce but i have advice for you.....don t do the glisandos you have to sing the exact note... .the dinamics are very poor and the high notes don t have vocal help...

i hope that you work with oyur voice cause you have a really good colour in it......go on

  • WOW.

I am a musical theatre student looking to get into Classical Music.

    This is just fantastic.

  • I was going to sing this for my grade 8 and any singing teacher will tell you to sing legato if you want to sing "classical" (art) music!!! The most important technique in the art of bel canto singing is the legato of sound!

    Don't waste your voice!

  • Truly an amazing voice, angelic. Some parts need a little work, but overall simply: Brilliant...

  • wow the only reason y i saw this video was because the girl is caliente(hot) man if you only went to my school my choir needs girls like that

  • she pronounced everything correctly... and i think her expression was fine.

i thought it was beautiful, the only thing you should fix is when you sing "o del" dont scoop into "del"

  • wow good job

  • beautiful voice

  • senti ne hai ancora da studiare e te lo dice un'ITALIANA che canta lirica..FINGHE..SI DICE FINGE...AH AH

  • Your voice is beautiful, but you must be more legato! If you keep good support on the final 'al-fin' you can glide up to it, showing off your voice. It will make it much easier for you as well.

    Well done though.

  • Don't try Be Sumi Jo ...

You have a beautiful voice, stay the way of your voice ... and try to be yourself with all things about your voice.

    Good Work !!!

  • You have a very lovely voice

... it must be a Celtic thing lol

  • All your eyes give me is self-doubt.

    Beautiful voice.

  • Well done, good job!!!

  • You have a sweet voice ... BUT ... you have to learn a lot !!! start by understanding and expressing what you sing , THEN LEARN italian ... so that you can pronounce correctly.... long way young lady ...!! Best of luck !

  • That was awesome and you have such a lovely voice. I'm nervous because I'm singing for my audition at West Chester University next week.

  • Very nice !

I sing this aria as well

Maybe you would like to listen to mine

    I would love some comments

  • Fuck I wnt to sing like that dammm

  • i have to sing this for eastern regionals, if i want to get in. D:

  • me too... the rhythms are very strange in parts of this piece.

    what key is this in?

  • F minor.

  • me too haha

  • eeks! I have to sing that for regionals/all-states and I'm so scared!

  • Du er Norsk?:P

  • Keep it legato! otherwise excellent tone!!! love your voice!

  • my God! you are very very beauty

    i love you!!!

    your voice is angelical, "bellissima"

  • u are so beautiful and your voice is lovely, keep the hard work!

  • you have such a beautiful voice!

  • 노래는잘부르시는거 같은데 발음이 조금 않좋으시네요

    천천히연습하시더라도 발음은 정확히 해 주세요

  • You have a rather lovely voice.

I have to sing this for my regional voice tryout. Beautiful song with a beautiful voice :]

  • you push with the support...gives you your pitch problems and also break up your legatto line. You also drop your headvoice a bit here and there...making you go flat. Also...keep to the rhythm that was written...and also the notes. Also sharped your darker vowels and lift your vowel placement. I'm a professional voice coach and singer...so sorry if this is a bit harsh...

  • you are wonderful girl.... <3

  • You are wonderful!

I have to sing this piece for a voice recital, and listening to you, really helped me to learn it.

  • move ur jeans out of the way

  • definitivamente amo a esta mujer...

  • pay attention on pronunciation and interpretation, the voice is ok but the piece sounds plain

  • THATS REALY GOOD!

  • not bad.

definitely watch your sliding, and try adding dynamics.

    and LIFT. (:

  • check out my version of "o del mio dolce ardor" =P and try to mk a comment about it

    please...

by the way, your voice is so sweet and warm =)

    greetings from Mexico

  • Her eyes are stunning

  • this is too pop. i am a classical trained singer and this is a classical aria and it is not sung like that. but your voice is very nice.

  • this is too pop. i am a classical trained singer and this is a classical aria and it is not sung like that. but your voice is very nice.

  • Try to soften your consonants, esp D's and T's and avoid aspirating them.

Nice voice... shame about the accompianist (wink wink)

  • Yes, the consonants must be "dental" in Italian.

When singing D's, N's, T's, and L's, press your tounge to the back of your teeth to create a soft consonant, rather creating aspiration (pushing air) from the ridge on the top of your mouth; doing so produces the hard sound we hear in English consonants.

You have a very pretty instrument...loads of pontential!

  • beautiful.

  • at the beginning you were a bit behind the music, but you realised and changed it so its fine! very lovely!

  • You've a beautiful voice! Just watch your high notes. They sound kind of not free enough. But anyway, keep up the good work! You have great potential :)

  • ur da best

  • Bella.

  • i absolutely adore this song and i think you have a beautiful voice and i say ciò era eccellente! =) ciao

  • Absolutely wonderful - looking forward to hearing more from you...

  • Sweetie, you have nice looks and a great voice.

Work on it and it will gets even better.

  • You have a pretty good voice, correct the pronunciation and the phrases, and careful with the sliding!!!(Don't be lazy with the voice, support it.) And of course this is the best version... because it is the original!!!

  • one of the best versions i've ever heard of this song right here :}

  • whaat pronuntiation is that? haaah, but the voice are pretty good

  • ¬¬, this pronuntation is like your... whaat!

  • Schifio

  • Please Exprress more the pronuntiation, use the consonants, this is a bridge and trough it the voice is in the correct place. You´ve got a beautiful voice.Keep On!!

  • Where were you when nightwish was looking new singer????amazing

  • Great job! Double check your pronunciation and don't be afraid to use your chest voice for the lower notes. Great talent. Keep up the good work.

  • Tu as tellement une voix magnifique, tu devrait chanter "La reine de la nuit" de "La flûte enchantée" de Mozart!

  • you have a beatiful voice, see I'm singing this song for UIL ,there are some pronounciation problems , such as "to" is actually "Do" but you sounded good after all ,

  • WOWOWOWOWOW!!! your voice is really beautiful!!!

what you have to do is to stop acting and singing it like if it were a pop song, it is an apassionted aria...

    have you took singing lessons?

if you haven't, OMG you shloud do it 'cause what you have is TALENT ;)

  • Double check your vowels because some of them sounded like were a little off and get yourself a teacher. You have too much talent to let it go to waste. :)

  • u are beautiful !!!!!!!!!

  • im singing this for a jury in highschool.

    i love this song. :]

  • I am currently working on this song for my college auditions.

You have a beautiful voice, however you sound afraid of high notes even though they are quite in your range. Try to just go through the notes. Watch out for your tempo too.

  • I like listening to people singing, and although I myself can't sing, I really would like to say, YOU ARE AMAZING and you have an angel's voice!!! Please don't give up and make some albums one day! I am looking forward to seeing your face in HMV! Really really good. I have listened to you singing this song the fourth time already, OMG.

  • you did a really good job of singing this song, although there were pauses in some places. just try not to slow down or speed up too much, and you should be fine! good luck!

  • you have a beautiful voice. Keep with it.

  • you are so beautiful ... but you don't studied well the appoggio :P

  • you have a beautiful voice=)

  • omg i sang this song for voice class too ! cool :)

  • Followed the link from the forum. You have a lovely voice - good luck with BGT. Emily xx

  • Wow! Your singing is so full of sublimit, passion, and depth that i want to rip my heart out of my chest and then I'd like to stick it in the oven for 45 minutes, and then I would like to eat it. Wanna split it? ;) Do you do birthday parties?

  • That word was meant to be sublimity* Apologies!

  • hahah omg elias please shut up with your comments see you on msn later lolz! Yes indeedily rip your heart of your chest hahahaha.

  • I can't help myself! I just want to scream BRAVA! Ok my dear,my heart is currently beating in the oven. Do you like your fan's hearts raw, medium, or well done? I might have to also rip out my eyes because they just can't contemplate something so gorgeous. It's like starring in the sun! Rip out your eyes or you'll go blind!

I'm a poet these days don't you know?

  • this was my firts song when i was a lirical singer! good you sing very professional!

  • The "g" in "dipinge" and "finge" sounds like in Giulie.

Anyway, strearing at your face while your voice sings this aria, I really get the impression of witnessing some sort of pure buty.

  • she is so nice!

    her voice is beautiful!!

I envy her. I'll sing this song 5 months later.but Italy is so difficult for me...

I want to sing like her^^

  • ..awesum..have u had training?

  • some training yes... but i gave that up about 3 months ago because i dont have the money for it at the moment.

  • This song was in my repertoire also! :) I think you have a very good voice. You have great placement and you round all your vowels perfectly. You have perfect balance with all your notes and the pitch is right on tact. I thought it was really good. :D

  • I gotta be honest with you. I'm a singer myself and this is one of the songs in my repertoire. so I think you have a very unusual but very refreshing voice. it sounds very full if that makes any sense but i feel as though you are holding back. Like you are not giving it your full power and if u do then it will sound incredible. Also, when u sing don't raise your head.. cuz it blocks off the sound

  • p.s. i do believe you should look into "summertime" by Porgy and Bess, if you are comfortable enough with high notes... your vibrato would be amazing.

  • you sound really good you have to watch your your T's and pronouncing them as soft D's and also your G's should sound like J-(jay)

  • That was very refreshing... I've been listening to bad people sing all trimester at my university. You have great potential. Your vibrato has a perfect balance of speed and pitch variance (to me), and your timbre has somewhat of a "sweetness" to it which I find very pleasing. Yeah yeah so as know you cut off some parts and made an oopsie, but its far better than most. Use your gift to its full extent. :)

  • great!!

    fine!

    hey

i recorded this Aria, can you go tu my you tube and watcht it?...

    greeting!

and congratulations, yor voice is so sweet

this is better but keep studing

  • you seem to rush through the song. Think about what the song is about and really own it. Also work on your "Rrrrrs"... u have a good sound but you got what I call marshmellow mouth (sounds like your mouth is full)....

  • I really enjoyed listening to you're voice, and you can really hit the high notes, but I do have a few things you might want to improve on. You cut off the ends of lines and some notes that should be extended, try sliding into notes les and you really need to listen for the piano more. Some parts were very off.

  • Though someone has already pointed out, "dipinge" or "finge" should be pronounced like /...indge/ not /...inge/. Ma sei brava, e bella! Visit my page too!

  • You have a lovely voice and a sweet face...

  • i think you could develop a heavier vibrato, but you have a really gorgeous instrument.

  • hey, julie, mmm you know... where can I to search or well to find this aria but only the word, I love it and I try and try and search and search and nothing!

I hope that you can help me!

    chau

    and

    nice voice

  • Wow! Your voice is gorgeous. Keep it up.

  • OMG so beautiful... u should use a good mic so we can heard u better T_T grats... u are great...

  • Serenade me! My heart would melt even more! I must sigh!

  • why do stop that beautiful music

  • Hey there. I sang this song for my senior recital (it's pretty common apparently). It's beautiful, but try to put a few more of the consonants in there. It might help the rhythm and help the words come through more. Nice job! It's a hard piece.

  • I should sing this one to Ms. Baiiiiigrie. Its quite appropriate :)

  • Great voice. I really love that song. Do you have the instrumantal version you could send me please??

  • Beautiful. That is your way. Go ahead

  • beautifull voice, really special and nice, you have a great voice Miss Baigrie

  • You should join your notes, if not the music phrasing will be cut off. esp joining of the middle range notes to the higher pitches. Alright? & relax your tongue!:D be careful of some rhythmic error though! :D

  • Really nice. I sang this in the bass register but it sounds beuautiful how you sing it.

  • EXELLENT VOICE.careful you have some rythmic errors, the nazel tone and the scooping. when yo using, ur toungue should be flat and shouldnt rise up. but still, great work!

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • You're a little nasly (sp) but otherwise your tone is fine. You're scooping too much though and you're really trying to push those high notes. Just relax and let it flow instead of pushing it. Work on the runs and you'll be golden.

  • Maybe it sounds good in your room, but you will have difficulties when singing in a big hall. I like the quality of your voice.

  • There's a real, beautiful, natural voice that's blooming before all of our eyes...Keep up the great work! :)

  • where did you get the piano acompaniation without voice ?? :D

  • ps youve got a beautifull voice :)

  • Debe mejorar el italiano!

  • Very beautiful. I just heard it for the first time 10 minutes ago by Tebaldi, compliments of another UTuber. "Trishiqnao, Ashley, DonGiovanni07 and FloriaTosca85" seem to know what they're talking about, so be advised and keep at it. You're a star!

  • I'm an italian girl..and I think you're great!!

  • Don't forget to close the msn... oh, foget it haha XD Me encantata tu voz!

  • wow...that's incredibly impressive.

watch the intonation though, you always get back on key but it goes a little flat in some spots.

you've got a LOT of potential, keep up the great work!
