mostly all spike lee films are box office failures, because most americans view him as too black. american's still want to hold on to the days of old, and because of that he is viewed as uppity. i think he is a great film maker. i've loved watching his career flourish over the years. denzelle should have won something for malcolm x. keep up the good work spike!!

I'm sorry, but this movie is awful. It's considered a box office failure, and it seemed to fake; Everything seemed plastic. Even the M1 Thompson SMG's the soldiers used were inaccurate; an M1 Thompson doesn't fire that fast, lol. Saving Private Ryan did a way much better job, much more accurate with even the slightest WWII nuances.

I may not no anything about making movies, but I've written screenplays for numerous independent films. But it's only the truth. This movie IS a box office failure, believe it or not.

you really have to pay close attention if you want to understand some of it but in the end it all comes together and make sense
