  • there is no 1.5l my 08 impreza anywhere.

  • @rockshox911 Just look on the subaru.de website...

  • @TOM273 im guessing .de is germany?

  • Why is the Tach on the side? I thought by now, all sports cars (including hot hatches) have tachs in the center..

  • That was epic.

  • If you're going to flood your combustion chambers then at least let it burn off before shutting down...

  • sperm for brains

  • haha xD

  • Why Europe what small engines you have. The better to get run over by a speeding truck dear...

No but really, the smallest available engine in the US is the 2.5L. Im about to buy an Impreza, do they all do this on startup?

  • Yes, they do it all, the whole Impreza MY08 Series.

  • i DON`T KNOW BUT I LOVE THE CRANKING SOUND OF IT

  • Yes we do. We just can´t afford bigger ones because of prices...

    few examples...

new STI MY08 in europe in avg is for 40k euro- 56k USD

fuel premium depending on location is in avg for 1,133eur/L+- in usd 1,5862 usd/L or 5,95 usd/gal...

this is short view on how we do in europe...

  • Here it costs 11k Euro for the 1.5 and 15k euro for the 2.0

  • im choosing between a 1.5 and 2.0 if theres not much difference in their performance i'll go for 1.5 what do you think? is it worth paying extra

  • Mhh, I think you should drive both one time.

I am driving the 1.5 with about 8.6 liters fuel (we call it "Super", 95 Octane), the 2.0 engine will burn a few liters more.

Somitimes I wish the car would have a bit more power...

But just drive both, then you are able to see what's better for you. 150 oder 107 PS, it's not just the price ;-)

Go to your Subaru dealer and fetch some information material, then drive both cars and THEN decide.

  • just got the 1.5r sportshift a month ago. have to downshift most of the time to catch up. i think 2.0 will be a better choce

  • have you ever raced any car in this engine's category ??

  • not yet ;-)

  • oh, its becasuse I do have the same one 1.5, but I thought that this cars only came out in Central America. And they are very expensive, mine cost $22500 the WRX is $40000 and the STI $50000

  • I paid around 19 000 - 20 000 Euro for the 1.5R Active handshifted Impreza.

But, yeah ist true, the WRX and STI are very expensive, especially the taxes... *gg*

I never drove a WRX or STI, but I think there isn't any better sound as a goosing boxer engine...

So... put the pedal to the metal!

I hope my english is good enough to undestand it ... ^^

  • Just asking, are you from CR? or Central America? Just wondering...

  • Why you're wondering?

    I am from Germany...

  • this car is manual or automatic ??

  • it's manual sorry, i haven't tested the accleration yet

  • and wats its real acceleration ?? (not datasheet)

  • what is za acceleration of it 0-100 and wats its top speed ?

  • The car istn't tuned, no modifications.

    79kw / 107 PS, 1.5 litre boxer engine.

0-100 14 sec (datasheet), Top Speed 175 km/h (datasheet), but it runs almost 200 km/h...

  • this car is stock or tuned ?
