  • Flex Wheeler Looks like Johnnie Jackson in this video.

  • good vid!! so early 90s!! flex wheeler is awesome and top of his game in my opinion.

  • old school

  • the first needed new kidneys ,the second got 2 heartattacks around 40 ,roids?

  • @bienenpabst how about instead of saying roids we agree they abuse them. Taking steroids isn't a life taker but abusing them is debatable... just like abusing water, you drink to much and you get water toxicity and you risk dying.

  • i never really liked mike matarazzo, he's waaaaaaaaaaay too cocky, i understand showing off you're hard earned muscle, but mike always flexed them and put them on a pedestal like if his arms were greek gods. he was a good athlete but a bit too cocky in my opinion.

  • "i will also tell you how I ended up having heart surgery after I used heavy doses of Anavar stacked with D'Bol" = Mike. lol

  • regardless of the drugs, flex and mike were both genetic freaks - even a pretty good bodybuilder juicing would get crushed by either of these two without gear. met matarazzo at a guest posing and he was off season weighing about 290 (f'n HUGE!!) and he was cool as sh*t!! and speaking of dorian yates, everything changed when the IGF-1, GH and Insulin cocktail came on the scene - look at Lee Priest's changes around that time... just ridiculous!!

  • flex using really heavy weights..75 pouns for consatration 155 with olympic bar for skull crasher..woaw..

  • @spooky78 you call that heavy? hahaha man i hope you are joking man

  • ...

  • you are the biggest loser, get a life

  • Don't forget about Yates. Everybody wanted his back size. When he took the O after Lee's retirement, he was up to 240. Then every year he started gaining more size. Yates was one of the ones that started this mass trend and is one of the reasons Shawn Ray wasnt Mr O!

  • WOW Mike Matarazzo had a ckassic physique. Some of the guys these days are just not prportional. Mike did everything right,,,,

  • No he didn't.

Lee Labrada and Lee Haney had the classic physique.

Mike even admitted he did things wrong. He pumped his body full of dierutics and 'roids and every other type of chemical and that is what hurt him most. His training was spot on but outside of the gym it was a disaster

  • Really?? I didnt know that. Thanks for telling me. I just meant it was classic in that it looks so propotional. It looks better than Jay Cutler etc...

  • I'll agree that it is in good proportion but maybe he overdid it on the arms. But I like his physique much more than Cutler's, Greene's and most bodybuilders today with the exception of a few

  • Exactly. When I think of classic, I think of this kind of physique. Most guys these days just want to weigh as much as they can and sacrifice everything in the process. But like you said there are a couple that are ok. Victor Martinez is alright...

  • Well today, I think there are a few guys today who do look at proportion but the overall is now basically about shocking everyone by hitting the 300 mark while sacrificing aesthetic. E.g. Markus Ruhl. Some guys are pretty balanced like Martinez, El Moussawi, David Henry. I think they're all good.

  • It used to be 6'2 240 was excellent, now its more like 6'2 340....Thats why I think so many people look down upon bb now. They just think its a mass contest, when really its suuposed to be about being the most well-balanced etc....

  • Well everyone from practically 1960-1990 with a select few in the 90's were all very pleasing with their physiques. They had balance and mass but while not being a freak. It is basically how big one can get. Its a shame because all BB should be how proportioned one can get

  • I know what you mean. thats why i really dont consider Jay as being the best. I know he worked hard for his body, but there are so many unsung heroes in the world of BB that are way more balanced and proprtional than him and, like you said, it really is a shame they get the backlight.

  • I admire jay just because of how hard he works and I enjoy watching his videos. He was once really good in the early 2000's but ever since he started playing the mass game to catch up with Ronnie, he's not as good as he once was. Same thing as Ronnie. When he started he looked great and now he is just big as possible. How he won 8 olympia's especially at that size is just unbelieveable. Kevin Levrone and Flex should've won at least one or two.

  • Oh I agree with everything you just said. And thats why people have gotten sick of BB, they think its all a mass game now. I think BB was way more respected as a sport before the 2000s.

  • VIRGIN

  • Young Flex Wheeler look like Victor Richards! Haha

  • Ha ha one kidney transplant and massive heart surgery, go for it kids, lol!

You sick peice of SHIT. You should get hit by a fucking car, then ass raped by a sharp sword laced with aids and alcohol. Fucking SWINE.

To mock what happened to big Mike without posting your real name proves you are a pathetic human fucking being. I would kick your fucking ass if you said this in person, fucking loser.

  • agree

  • Steroids could kill your kidneys too just like they did Flex Wheelers, so be smart and just say no to steroids!

  • maldita gente que nada mas se le va en criticar a los fisicos mas grandes, imbesiles leean

  • hes skull crushing nearly 85kg... thats ridiculous

  • haha that means his gotta be on the roids

  • Comment removed

  • whats the matter couldnt back up ur insult? yeah then shut the fuck up u little pussy

  • Stupid Mike mitarazzo is not dead

  • so , just stay small dickhead and be quiet, we all had your mom anyway.

  • Every single dude in this video was stricken with some nasty illness before 50 kinda creepy.... Flex=kidney disease Mike=2 heart attacks Dennis(guy at end briefly)=leukemia not all the drugs im sure but kinda makes you wonder about the lifestyle and its definite risks

  • yes. wonder.

  • Mike Matarazzo 1965-2007 RIP.

  • Lol... Mike is not dead.

  • Mike's 22 inch arms are awesome, but nobody was sporting 22 inch calves back in the day like he was.

  • hey dickhead, if the cap fits........

  • you know how I know you're gay?

well...I think you, as well as everyone here, knows why.

  • Mike ranks #1 in the on-line Bodybuilder Most Likely To Die Next poll.

  • 2 heart attacks before the age of 45 ...I wonder if he thinks it worth it ...just to have a little bit more muscles...jesus.

  • plz dont say Jesus's name in vain

  • really ?

  • very encouraging video!!! proper form ... squeeze at the peak ... all great advice!! these guys didn't start huge ... dedication and learning-as-you-go is the key to successful bodybuilding. Hit the gym and goodluck to all!

  • Well you guys i think everbody one here who watch bodybuilding movies and thinks its disgusting then why yea i ask you why the hell do you watch those vids then.

  • ive got humiliating 10" arms! how many inches could i realistically expect to gain in a year with consistent training?

  • if you do it right you could probably get a couple inches especially if you haven't lifted from the newbie gains.

  • this was before they were pro, they took the 2 In favor to win the NPC usa pro quallifier, which happened to be these 2. Mike eneded up winning and going pro in this compeitition, but flex won his in the next year.

  • damn the early 90s were hideous

  • yes, and the middle 80' too

  • munzer liver meltdown.

  • Damn, Mike's shoulders are so much wider than Flex wheeler's! wtf?

  • Matarazzo - open heart surgery.

    Flex - kidney transplant

  • How many people that are on AAS have had kidney transplants or heart surgery? Dumbass

  • What's AAS? dumbass

  • Anabolic-androgenic steroids nut lick.

  • Heart Surgery: Matarazzo, Arnold, Kris Dim, Dave Draper, Pax Beale, Curtis Leffler.

Kidney transplant: Flex, Don Long, Rob Schuh.

That enough for you buttmunch, or should i find some more?

  • Thats fine but what about the regular people you see walking around everyday that has had heart issues or kindney issues. Look at the obese people and there health problems are you commenting to the fatties or are you a fattie and thats why your pissed about these guyz?

  • I'm just sayin', a lot of bodybuilders seem to have health problems and die young. the roids, diuretics, stimulants, etc.. diet so heavy in meat, gaining & loosing so much weight every year.. not healthy. I'm not a fatty.

  • I know what you meant but everybody says this and that about bodybuilders but america has alot more fatass' dying than bodybuilders.

  • i agree

  • bodybuilders are just a small group of people and heart surgery nothing to be with this life style

  • both sadly ruined their health by doing all the dirty things you need to do become a pro in this sport

  • you're right...it's sad to know that 2 champs like them ruined their health

  • flex should try some heavy weights...ha ha ha

  • wow tristanthrower - you are 1 smart guy

  • way too big its clear there on roids not jealous jst its a fact

  • who cares, pretty much everyones aware that just about every bodybuilder above the NPC level is on steroids, I just dont understand why EVERYONE feels the need to "remind" us that on every video..

  • Are you serious! They are on roids?!! HOLY FRIKIN' COW! What will the world come to!!?? Of course they are dumbass.

  • Holy shit man. Flex is curling 80 lbs.

  • a wickett pump" LAFF

  • Mike Matarazzo 1965-2007 RIP.

  • hes not dead dumbass

  • MM had it all. He was huge, and strong, and handsome. He was so comfortabe working out in front of the camera.
