Yesterday my grandparents and I adopted a Short Haired Calico cat. She's 8 years old. She's VERY multi-colored, and there's no patch of fur that's the same color the size of your palm. Like I said, we got her yesterday and she's already sitting on my lap. Her name is Olivia and she's such a beautiful cat. Calico is my new favorite color of cat! <3

@Tiffmidon It seems that Calico cats cannot be cloned. Although the genetic material is the same, the way their chromosomes are set is unique and each Calico will have a different set of colors regardless.

@tannerlittleton Most are female, and yes, thats true. The colors have to do with the chromozomes (spell check please?) in each cat. They both can support the white, but the males can only support one other color.
