OMG the pour, man, the pour! Have you no patience? If you poured like that here it'd be thrown in your face. Still, glad you enjoy it. Far superior to Guinness. Tried to have a Guinness today for Arthur's Day but as a Corkonian and someone with taste buds I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I think I gave the pour a little more respect there. :) This was a long time ago and I honestly hadnt paid attention to correct pouring technique yet. Honestly though, I'm not that much of a stickler to be able to tell how the pour affects the taste.
I went to the store yesterday to get Guinness and when I got home realized I bought Murphy's Stout by mistake. Never heard of it before. It's really rather good. I think I'll have another one now.
Great stout. I'm a Guinness man myself, but you have to love all Irish stouts or English ales. I was stationed in England for four years and know my beers.
Absolutely Mike. I sure do. I prefer Guinness too, but was in the mood for something a bit different. Murphy's is a bit more on the.....rich side of the flavor we love so dearly, where Guinness is a bit more clean. Folks are funny how they say "Let me get my fork to drink that beer" like they think it'll taste like discarded motor oil. They've obviously never had one before. We gotta change that!

It's similar. You'll like it if you try it. Maybe a bit more of a chocolate flavor, but I'm not saying it's actually chocolate flavored.
