Cool video. Did you fly today (July 22nd)? I live in Albany, and had great fun watching a Yak-54 do some aerobatics from my backyard, West of Albany.
It was funny. I heard a radial and went outside, and I got the binoculars and noticed it the plane looked familiar. I was like.... That looks like Eric Beard's Yak-54 (?!?!). Then, I did some research and found out it's been purchsed and based at CVO. Cool story.
That was me! I fly over the railroad tracks because that is a legal spot for aerobatics. I try to stay high enough that I won't be a noise bother for people down below, but I guess the engine is louder than I realize.
Enjoy the show. I'm preparing for a contest in mid-August and will be flying pretty much every day until then. If you download the 2010 IAC Sportsman sequence, you can follow along with me.
The noise really wasn't a problem at all. I could just make out a radial. You should do your aerobatics out here more often. :P (Or maybe you have been, but I am just missing them.)
