LOL... I saw "Channel 4" and thought these were highlights from WTMJ in Milwaukee. I probably should've known something was up when it said "American Football."
Due to a quirk in the schedule (or perhaps because they were both in 5-team divisions and both finished in last place the previous year) this was actually the first of two meetings between the Pack and Cowboys in 1989. The next matchup would come on 12/24/89 in Dallas, and again it was a Packer win, 20-10.
@gaararules75 That's true...1989 was the worst year since the Cowboys' inception in 1960 when they went 0-11-1. They had a new owner, a new coaching staff, and a ragtag roster that included not one but two rookie quarterbacks--Steve Walsh started here because Troy Aikman was out with a broken left index finger.
@jdog34505 Probably not, because Aikman was the one who led UCLA to victory in the Cotton Bowl against Arizona, and Jimmy Johnson knew that this was a rebuilding year for the Cowboys and was thinking long-term.
Sterling Sharpe was a beast!

The Majik man would have been great if he hadn't of held out. Then he got hurt in K.C. and was never the same.

@PCCphoenix regardless Johnson chose Aikmen over Walsh, then Michael Irvin and Emmitt Smith came along, and the rest was history
