  • it is 1080i meaning interlaced, while 1080p meaning progressive. it is basically full HD but not quite as it has 2 separate pictures fluctuating. Most tv channels broadcast in 1080i. fact is, you don't notice and it looks great and as always the BBC show how to make wildlife programs!

  • 1080i???

    Don't you mean 1080P?

  • the box says 1080i

  • The extra disc is 1080i/720p so the box says 1080i but the majority of the collection is 1080p.

  • @FlawlessCM I don't get why it says 1080i then. Is there a reason for it?

(Sorry, I know this comment is very late on in comparison to yours :D)

  • @FlawlessCM its 1080i

quality is not full hd... but the way bbc presents it is amazing

  • @FlawlessCM 1080i is the shorthand name for a high-definition television (HDTV) video mode. The i means interlaced; 1080i differs from 1080p, in which the p stands for progressive scan. The term 1080i assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a frame size of 1920×1080 pixels. Each frame of 1080i video consists of two fields of 1920×540 pixels each.
