Pls let us know how we can contact the family directly or the school.. Its a shame that our millionare leaders cannot even help one poor kid who has already demonistrated that she can be one of Kenya's future bright leaders..They should set an example & help this girl plus many others who may need help like Muthoni...Pls post her direct contact, its hard to trust people these days...Thanks for this story....
hello! Call Alliance Girls High school and ask ways you can help.Dont wait for NTV.They have already done the job of exposing the problem which is Great!! also you can set up an account with her name with mama-mikes and pay school fees,or buy uniform or money for books or buy her uniforms etc...sent directly to alliance high school girls. There are many ways to help.call,e-mail alliance Girls school NOW!! Blessings for your compassion and generosity.
I have no doubt this bright girl will go to high school, the local MP is aware and so are the politicians.Well done NTV,this is the news we want. Please follow up just incase.
@njorogeaustralia, the politicians should be our last option. They are the cause of so many problems in the country. The bursary scheme is a very noble idea if it can be managed effectively but the MPs have messed it up using it to settle scores with the voters. Muthoni is just one of the case. So many others will go unknown and the poor children will end up being wasted by lack of a proper system.
what are the fees and What are the acutal costs??? Just asking. looks like
NTV is out to lunch on this one?? as of now every scammer will have access to this name ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Poor Kid..like I said how much coud it '''''''''''cost?......
Unless,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 'The NTV' has 'A PLAN' like.............. grants for all secondary students
Kenya should follow Uganda's example and institute USE (universal secondary education). The govenrment can support students from poor families who excel in primary but have no funds to continue with secondary education. otherwise such stories will continue every year.
In my area our local MP runs a bursary for poor bright children in the constituency. I wonder why the loacl MP where this gal comes from can't do the same. I am sure she will go to school some well wisher somewhere will help. What happened to the pokot boy who Rita highlighted a few weeks ago?
She will definitely become the doctor she wants to become. When the link of account to EFT the money to becomes available, please let me know. I'll see what I can do
@ntv, this looks like an opportunity to help, I was in the exact same position a few years ago and someone anonymous paid my fees. I don't have much, but I sure can spare something, let me know how I can do this
Hats off Muthoni for a noble dream...weird she didn't dream of being a politician like Mututho the Naivasha area MP who has no clue what progressive nations value most- a decent education ! Your faith will see you through young girl!
My MP Beth Mugo has a bursary going now for over 15 yrs way before she was our MP for helping poor bright children in our constituency. But then not all MPs can be like her. Mututho is nutcase, who does nothing for the people of Naivasha.
As it is, I hate your accent and your annoying voice, leave alone airing yet another story of a needy child just so you can clock in another days work! I keep asking, why would you air this story, showing the poor girls sad face with your cameras strategically closing up on her 0:43, and her poorly mother, yet you can't follow-up with ways in which well wishers can help her? What benefit does it do you to sell make proceeds from someone plight, then upload on youtube? Stupid woman, you anger me!
Calm down MzeeMoja1 mistakes do happen, I don't think they didn't put those contacts intentionally rather a mere mistake just like any other. Rita is a great reporter and my favourite at NTV. I will come to Kenya just for her Rita.
Well, you might fancy the pants off of her - I suppose someone ought to - but this isn't the first time this has happened. This kind of story ought to be an apeal for help as opposed to making it newsworthy. I watched it and I was like, ok so why am I being told this? what can I do about it? why am i not being told what I can do about it? Whose benefit does it serve to air it? you see, all these questions. You wouldn't see this on BBC or Sky news, so why should NTV get away with it? Anyway,...
Remember the pokot boy who she highlighted here who couldnt join Starehe boys for luck of fees? we have no clue what has happened to him or whether a wellwisher helped him.
This exploitation of the poor by the media has to stop.
@NTV Kenya, please provide us who are willing to help with the contacts, and concrete ways we can help, and in that way complete the community service that you could provide by airing such touching and pertinent issues!
that is shit how can she have such high marks and she cant join form 1 thats very bad its true the onyl tribalism we have in kenya is between the rich and the poor and only when we start to share out national resources then kenya can prevail we
you all need to read oowiti2008 comment, msingoje for everything to be thought out for you.

Sympathy with the poor lady. Uhuru Kenyatta can pay all her fees in one cheque anyway.
