I think the question is whether the 1917 revolution could have spread or nor not. The key to the rise of Stalinism lies in the isolation of the Russian Revolution. @HHH100 no if someone works and their friend stays home and drinks and has no job they DO NOT GET THEIR FAIR SHARE. i believe that if you have a job you deserve to have what every one else has. and to make people work for more pay doesnt work. i know someone that worked in a place for years. they just got a new raise after 5 years. it was only 10 cents. this put the person in a different category with taxes. they now make less, because of taxes. anyone can see that America is not prospering.

1- they adhered to the same economic principles as in the west (centralism)
2-they didn't adjust their social structures accordingly.
3-communism is JUST NOT a democratic system.

Infact,it's structurally no way distinct from State Capitalism(the only difference being that it's the state instead of business that collectivizes labor as well as concentrates and distributes ownership and profits.)
