in regards to hailing Mary: Hail does not mean to worship, "Hail" is used as a greeting or to attract attention. It is mean to echo the Archangel Gabriel's first words to Mary "Hail, Full of Grace, The Lord is with You." So every time someone recites the Hail Mary or venerates Mary, it is not idolatry, it is simply honoring Mary as an example of how we should all be.
At any rate, this is a christmas song, let everyone feel the love and joy.

Bless you brother; to answer your question (Christians) believe that Jesus was the sacrifice whose blood fulfilled the (Old Testament) requirement of blood/sacrifice for forgiveness of sins. @bradley95257 you are right about only God judges us. i believe that it is foolish to pray through someone to pray to God, when you can talk to him by your self. remember the veil was torn, we don't need and interceder, we can go straight in to the holy of holies. we can be right with him and talk right to him any time we feel like it and we don't need to pray to Mary when he is right here with us.

@HolyGhostManiac Do you pray through Jesus to pray to God? That's something I have been trying to understand my whole life. I can't believe they are one in the same. God said Jesus was his son but we are all his children. It's confusing. I think Muslim's believes Jesus was a prophet instead of 'son of God'. The only thing I know is that Christians, Jews and Muslims all believe in the same one God. When I say something it doesn't mean I totally believe it. I have an open mind and not brainwashed.

@bradley95257 you are wrong brother, we the cristians, catholics to be specific, pray to the Father in the name of the Son, under action of the Holy Spirit, Mary and the rest of Saints and the Angels pray with us like the rest of members of Church, (have you even pray for a friend? so you are intercedering), but they are in Heaven without sins they are more close to God, when we call to Jesus Christ the mediator between God and people is because He is God and Men, and He save us

Xmas isn't an attempt to secularise Christmas and has nothing to do with atheism. The X is short for Christ (from the Latin for Christ). Similarly, 'Happy Holidays' (meaning both Christmas and New Year's) has been in use for a long time and is very Christian in origin.
