I see this as a worship song. However it can be anything. But if someone other than God is your everything, then I beliece that's sad

the way interept the song as if he is talking about the love of his life, because he sings "i need to heal you" and human beings can't heal god, only god can heal and fix for us humans. i don't know that is how i perceive it.

The reason why I think it's about the love of his life because he says 'you're all I want, you're all I need, you're everything' and 'How can I stand here with you?' - you can stand before God, but not with him necessarily. :)

ive watched out some lyrics and they all say that he sings feel not heal and i think he sings about god because its a matter of how y see god to stand with him in a place "togather"

i think thats the way he thought as he wrote the song to worship god and stand in his presence

also the rest of the lyrics sounds for me more than a song to god not to a human

"Everything" is a song by the rock band Lifehouse. It is the last song on their debut album No Name Face, and was re-recorded as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of their 2010 album Smoke and Mirrors. Jason Wade grew up in a Christian family and wrote the song based on his faith. [1]

However, for those people feeling unloved because they've never had anyone - I imagine this song to be about a guardian angel helping the person in question to get through life with ease. It just saves us from believing we're 'unloved' or 'unlovable'.
