  • That actually is exactly what LSD is like..

  • that's so not the way lsd works

  • EVERYTHING IS MOVING JUST THE WAY I WANT IT TO!

  • @nicolasibarra84 he was right

  • @lenarass yep, this is mystic and symbolic!

  • people who have no lsd experience cant understand, they just cant! im really sad that ppl cant understand lsd. its not dangerous, it literally upgrades ur mind!

  • That acid should be great back then. Orange sunshine i bet :D

  • the music is Bach - Concerto in D Minor. Also whoever proposed LSD caused his cancer, that is rubbish. Aside from the fact it was 50 years later, we would be seeing every deadhead from that period dropping like flies- from cancer. Which we are not.

  • @bowlochile Wow, some people have said that? What close-minded trolls. LSD is less toxic than Vitamin C. And our bodies can't even survive without that.

LSD only acts as a key to our serotonin receptors. It leaves the body before your trip is even over.

  • nice jorts

  • so could, LSD abuse bring his cancer?? We dont know. nobody knows.. cant believe there is still so much lack of info about cancer and WHAT EXACTLY generates it... some spiritiaul people even say that some cancer are generated by anger.. WTF?

  • wait what film is this?

  • ROFL! "How am I gonna get home?"

  • At the risk of "exploiting" Steve's passing.... aww hell, fuck that, he would want us to exploit his passing as much as we can, to remind our friends and neighbors, particularly those who still think "only losers use drugs," how vital altered perspectives can be to the creative process, and how so many of the things they love simply would not exist without various "drugs."

  • go to maps.org to see more scholarly LSD research documents and news.

  • Rest in Peace Steve

  • LSD since I was 11 now 50. New Bear, Mushroom Bob, Nick Sands , Waverly.

Thanks for a quality product. I dose every 4 to 6 weeks.

  • LSD is not the reason we have computers today. That is a myth. I have many friends who worked at NASA and ran many of the programs . They are health nuts and not drug users.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES They did not invent the computer, Read what is aid No interpretations. they were addicted to cigs and booze every watch the films..

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES Caffeine is a drug.

  • @PullyElbow27 Really? So Caffeine should be in the same league as LSD? Yeah right.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES No, I'm just saying you shouldn't use "drug users" as a derogative term since nearly everyone in the world uses drugs.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES LSD's much safer than caffeine for the body, and not physically addictive.

  • @TheOneartist I don't even have Caffeine in my diet. I exercise to get high. It's what many of the geeks lack.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES LOL Although most people who take LSD aren't geeks. They're either hippies that actually understand the significance of the drug (like me), or they're party-goers that like to get fucked-up (which I hate).

Exercise is good, though. I'm a walker not a runner, but that's just me.

  • @TheOneartist Hippies. Lowlifes of society.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES I'd rather be a hippie rather than buy into superficial materialism and close-mindedly judge others without knowing who they are.

  • @TheOneartist Superficial Materialism? Do you think I'm like that? My house is paid for and I have money, but I don't have new cars etc. I'm cheap. I've never met a hippie that didn't want a hand out. Grow up and stop making excuses and live.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES What do you mean "didn't want a hand out"? Sounds like you're dealing with homeless people instead. And even those you can't completely blame considering the shitty economy we're in. But hippies do work jobs, too, you know.

And I'm not making excuses. Live and let live man. Be happy and be free.

  • @TheOneartist I'm happy because I worked hard and made money. I didn't ask for help from anyone, especially the Government.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES I don't intend to ask from the government either. I'm only broke because I'm 18 and still haven't found a job yet, although I may get a work opportunity soon hopefully. Hippies work, too, they're just into different things and try to live things out differently. Steve Jobs was a hippie. The Beatles were hippies. Jimi Hendrix was a hippie. Many successful people were. The people that died are the people that got themselves into hard drug usage.

    And I'm glad you're happy.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES You might not use caffeine but you need to take a chill pill. You exercise? Oh wow! Good for you Richard Simmons. You sound like the neo conservative uptight Pat Buchanan sort. You and John C Calhoun are kindred spirits. You say geeks and hippies like its a derogetory but coming from a neo con like you, it as a compliment. That just like sayin, "that fuckin guy is a a liberal open mined piece of crap". No dude, your the goon.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES your friends didn't invent the computer

  • @NickDanielCorcoran Yours did?

  • The Rhythm of life.

  • holy shit, did bill gates and steve jobs ACTUALLY do LSD?

  • @mdrndrum Yeah, Jobs said LSD was one of the two or three most important things he's ever done in his life

  • @kryptonickraze Dude! Where is that interview? Is it a video? Or a text interview? I'm really interested in seeing it.

  • @aliishaq11 John Markhoff speaks to him in his book "What the Doormouse Said", you should check it out. Also Albert Hoffman heard about this and wrote to Jobs asking him and Apple to fund LSD research or something.

  • @aliishaq11 the original letter is at huffpost. Hoffman wrote Jobs (R.I.P.) at 101.

  • I don't remember that bit...

  • Mac screen savers are very trippy. It would be cool if someone could make a screen saver that is very much like tripping.

  • @dirtdemon6 this simply can't be done. Tripping isn't something you can just animate on a screen. Take some LSD and you'll understand.

    If this could be done,

    1) it would already have been done, and

    2) tripping would be very, very boring

  • 0:48 "Everythings moving just the way I want it to!"

    Control freak much?

  • So this is why I like Macs better...

  • Douglas Engelbart, the inventor of the mouse and pioneer for GUIs said he did lsd. Francis Crick was on acid when he figured out the structure of DNA. Nobel-prize-winning chemist Kary Mullis said LSD had helped him develop the polymerase chain reaction that helps amplify specific DNA sequences. Whoever said LSD was a useless drug that needed to be classified as having no medicinal or positive benefits was a moron.

  • @TheCynicalLiberal God its been about 10 years since I did LSD but I can sum it up this way:

When brilliant people take acid, brilliant things CAN happen.

When useless people take acid, nothing happens. Ever.

Same with marijuana. Drugs can not transform uncreative people, it only enhances someone's natural innate talents; and even that requires a certain level of skill.

  • For myself -- everything seemed so alive and real and mysterious -- the stars, the trees, even the buildings; and all of these things, whether together or separately seemed very fluid and flexible. There were never any hallucinating involvement within film-like visuals or parallel virtual realities similar to what is shown here in this clip.

  • Haha, the ending, I have definitely been there.

  • rofl that's perhaps one of the least accurate trip depictions I've ever seen!

  • computers and the internet WOULD NOT exist without lsd. period!

  • @multibuddhaneo see, how much lsd make people stupid? read the history before make a claim, fucking idiots. steve is just a fucking "bohemien" businessman.

  • @civciv7 ....look up kary mullis.....he won the nobel peace prize in the 90s for his work on pmr, working with the aids virus.he clearly states if it wasnt for lsd he never wouldve gotten the results he did.he won the fuckin nobel peace prize.francis crick, one of the men who is credited for mapping the human genome also says lsd helped him discover certain things about dna.he also was awarded the nobel peace prize.YOU do your research first my friend!!!!!

  • Its the best software for the best hardware

  • this was a cool part in the movie; but tripping on LSD is nothing like this. no full visuals; at least for me. (high or low doses)

still cool that one of the greatest people in technology (Steve/Apple) used to use LSD and be a "hippie" (traveled India, etc)!

  • full visuals? i dunno about the field but i think you must be doing pretty crappy acid

  • i saw colors, objects "breathing", etc but never thought i was seeing a concert band or monkeys jumping out at me. DMT is a full on, totally out of this dimension, trip.

shrooms and LSD never have gave me an "out of reality" type trip. it was definitely an amazing experience but nothing compared to DMT or even salvia. (even though salvia sucks ass)

  • I'M CONDUCTING CLASSICAL MUSIC!

  • I love apple and I love LSD

  • @CapHamiltoe than poor you idiot.

  • LSD man's "shortcut to enlightenment" Ha LSD is a drug and therefore if it does not exist in you to begin with you are never goin to be "enlightened" Come on does this dude look like he's in touch with the universe? Only he can say right? but there's always something better! If he was born on LSD and tried being sober wouldn't that "blow his mind" too?

  • You've obviously never done any psychedelic drugs. Regularly, your brain puts up filters to deal with everyday tasks, because there's simply too much information to handle in even the simplest things. LSD and other psychedelics inhibit this filter, and allow you to see things in a completely different light. Things that didn't matter before can take on new meaning. Check out the "Mind at Large" concept proposed by Aldous Huxley, he offers the best explanation (besides dropping LSD yourself).

  • AMEN, awristheshit I find it funny you will never really understand reality >:)

  • Just read the actual bulletin of MAPS on their website. There you can find information about LSD and technology. They also mention Steve Jobs and Bill Gates on page 5. Wikipedia also quotes him: "taking LSD was one of the two or three most important things I've in my life"

  • Yes, all true. It amazes how people have that stereotype (spawned from government propaganda) that LSD users are all brain dead. Aldous Huxley, Francis Crick, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates all show that most people are clueless about LSD.

  • Booo

  • i thought that lsd, lasted for like 9 hours. can it actually kill you?

  • you'd have to inject 320 mg to OD, that can't happen on accident...

LSD drops perceptive filters and reveals unconnotated reality. normality is reality molded by these filters uniquely by every person. truth is, acid takes you so far into reality that normality is trivial. you must let go of your ego and realize what you are. its not coincidence that people who aren't DUMB can harness its power and flow with it; Gates, Phil Jackson, Leary, Wozniak, Jobs, don't get me started on music...

  • No, it can't. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't done their research. It can trigger latent psychological problems, but you probably shouldn't be taking acid in the first place if you've got mental issues. It's one of the safest drugs, toxicologically speaking, out there.

  • you and your friends are idiots. and probably your sister too, if she took LSD without researching it first.

what fucking moron takes LSD on HALLOWEEN?

it's common knowledge to do research for even something like marijuana, let alone LSD. there's no excuse for that when you have the internet, library, or even whoever she got the LSD from.

hopefully she learned a lesson from that trip. a lot of people just can't give in their ego.

  • DUDE, it wasn't Halloween. We just grabbed the masks,- you're the moron

  • like that helps your case??? you'd be better off keeping that to yourself.

if your doing LSD, and it just happened to be Halloween, and you were doing the wrong drug under the wrong circumstances that you have no control of, I'm still going to call you and idiot for not pre-planning, but thats a BIT understandable.

but you choose to follow somebody with masks, knowing they are on acid, with full control of circumstances, you might just be a waste of sperm and egg.

  • Dude, you are, or you were that kid in class that the teacher never called on

  • dude, I'm that one kid that kicked your ass and fucked your girlfriend, remember?

  • Dude, I AM girl...so I suppose in a sense you'd be kicking my boyfriends ass and fucking me...But not really because we fight a lot..you know?

  • i love tripping on lsd and playing with my macbook pro :D

  • this was the gayest and most gayly dramatized acid trip ever. felt like the government trying to brainwash me so I dont act like 'that guy'

  • anyone know what song that is.. i think it might be Bach

  • it's called concerto for two violins, 1st movement. and yeah, it's by bach. :)

  • thanks a lot for the answer.. i always thought it sounded similar to something in the brandenberg concerto, so i figured it was bach (and because steve jobs loves bach), but never really knew which concerto/movement. you're the man.

  • i want that guys trip

  • Man I thought you couldn't be successful after taking LSD.. Doesn't that really make you commit suicide and see scary things? </sarcasm>

  • So you know (X)HTML?

  • NO. LSD made me successful

  • My god. Maybe he should get trippy before his keynotes.

  • He probably does.

  • The way he throws around words like "magical" and "revolutionary", he probably does.

  • im sure steve could get plenty of tail if he wanted to.

  • who were the gurls? was that part of the LSD trip too?? seeing as Woz would probably have no chance of having any contact with a female xD

  • The blonde one was Steve's girlfriend, the other one I think is job's sister. Watch the whole movie.

  • One of the ladies was Jobs' girlfriend of the time, Chris-Ann Brenna, who he had his daughter Lisa with.

  • Makes me wonder why Apple put colors in their logo...

  • good one ..lol!!

  • Have you seen the screensaver for Mac OS X? It's a pretty trippy little animation. Must bring back good memories for Steve. :)

  • @TheAntiRebel

haha, i saw that fried out of my mind earlier today when my college connections class was showing me around da school. pretty bomb man :)

  • PC: i see a sunset behind a field of wheat

    Mac: isn't that your screensaver?

  • Haha, when I rewatched this movie a few days ago, that commerical is the first thing I thought of (when this scene hit). Maybe Apple's advertsing firm are fans of the movie?

  • A few seconds later, "I'm standing.."

  • first comment! Steve, I know what you mean man. Me, itunes visualizer on full screen, in a completely dark room. You made it happen dude.
