  • Tina Louise was a stone cold hottie

  • I loved this show when it first aired on cbs back in the 60's had a big crush on Dawn Wells i have all the episodes on dvd but could not understand why they never released the 3 movies on dvd with them but saw they had the one movie rescue from gilligan's island out on dvd but not a good quality picture and saw the harlem globetrotters on gilligan's island on tv but never saw the third one anybody heard or know where you can get the 3 movies on dvd or any plans to release them in the future?

  • According to Russell "Professor" Johnson's book, the cast enjoyed the shows where they got to dress up, especially for dream sequences or daydreams, and play different characters.

  • Look at :50 I swear that lion almost jumped after Lovey Howell for a split second.

  • Thanks for that. Kind of sad in a way, a nice harmless show from a simpler time, gone forever.

  • Oh man, Ginger will always be the #1 sexiest woman from television for me.

  • The Professor (86), Mary Ann (72) and Ginger (77) are still alive!

  • the musics melancholy(i think thats the right word) but perfect for the clip. i cant believe its been almost 50 years since the original episodes. the clip does bring tears to my eyes as well, cuz theyre almost all gone now. great talents and great television.

  • LOVE IT. Moved me to being a little teary eyed. This show was part of the happiest memories of my childhood. Along with I Love Lucy, Gilligan's Island had THE MOST perfectly cast ensemble of any television show in history. Everyone of them just precious.

  • It's incredible! Always very cool to view candid out takes. Tina Louise is a friend and I'll share this with her. Thanx for posting this!

    George Vreeland Hill

  • some really interesting footage, but mute it so you don't have to listen to the stupid music.

  • Thanks for this!!!!

  • they all seem to get along and have a great time together nice video I miss them all

  • thank you for posting this rare classic.

  • fantastic!!!

  • Great! The ones that have gone on are missed. Where has the time gone?

  • Nice footage. Good to see it again! If I am not mistaken, this footage, not the music was seen at the end of the TV movie made about ten years ago about the making of the series. I think the title was "Surviving Gilligans's Island, the Longest Three-Hour tour in History" and Dawn Wells (Mary Ann) produced it. I think the original music was "What a Wonderful World."

    Thanks for posting this here!

  • @ghostfanX2 You are correct! The original music in the made for tv movie was "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, but in the DVD "Surviving Gilligan's Island.....tour in History" the music was changed to something else, and it wasn't as nice as Armstrong's song. In 1:47, Thurston is about to kiss Lovey, and Lovey replies with Skipper's voice "If you kiss me, I'll beltcha"! Funny stuff. Thanks for posting this wonderful clip of very special people!

  • very sweet clip

  • Oh my word this is great!!! Thanks for this!!!!!

  • i loved this show

  • awesome. Well done.

  • Amazing footage! I'd also like to know the origins of it.

  • At 1:45,they were running through the scene

where Mr. Howell was going to kiss Mrs. Howell.

While she mouthed the words, the Skipper's

voice said,"you kiss me and I'll belt you!"

It was funny watching them all react to that run

through.....and I bet it probably took several takes,

before they got the giggles out enough to finish it!

  • this is very nice! thanks!

  • Super Cool!

  • Aww, thanks for this posting.

  • Love the dance sequences with maryann and ginger

  • Why this is PRICELESS!

They seemed to all work well together and I

loved meeting them everyday after school!

This music is cool too,it's perfect!

WOW! Thanks for sharing it with the world!

  • Where did you get this?

  • Not sure where it originally came from. A mate of mine from Canada emailed to me. I thought it was worth posting... apparently very rare...

  • @ThatFunnyMann These were shown on a tv special, they were shot by Sherwod and they often popped up on various Giligan salutes and specials. That little kid in the mini gilligan outfit is acutally a real mini giligan as it was Bob denvers's son he played in the jack and the beanstalk episode.

  • @ThatFunnyMann ....this is on one of the dvds special features.

  • @VinnieGazzara Really?? Can you tell me which one? I have all of the DVD's. I would really like to see the original. Cheers.

  • @ozzieboy007 ....theres a movie called "Surviving Gilligans Island" ...it's at the end of that movie :) !!!
