  • How old are you?

  • @iridescentism 17 in this

  • @dennychaos Wow.

  • @dennychaos Are you using double kick?

  • @dennychaos Awesome.

  • If you have time to do stick tricks, you need to put up some covers of tougher, better, and edgier music. This is a pretty bland song, and I can't imagine it took much time to make this video. How about "The Chicken" by The Weather Report?

  • Stick tricks can visually enhance a piece massively... as long as it doesn't affect the playing. Try mastering the songs timing with stick tricks before posting it next time :)

  • @PearlDrummer100 There are way better covers of this song.

  • @DrummerPearl100 the other covers of this song are alot better dude! This kid is trying to be a show-off! No one cares if he can play hi-hat openly, or if he can do a stick flip.

  • @NobleWM He's not trying to show off...

  • Why the fuck can I not find drummers this talented to fit in my band? Seriously, wtf?! You're awesome, man.

  • Fantastic.

  • kid loose the spins and youre gonna be huge!

  • Lame

  • @NobleWM ur a gay fuck stop picking on people who r better than u

  • yeah robot!!

  • Real nice bass sound :D

  • Please tell me that the china on your far right is the A custom 18 inch

  • @dennychaos Nice, I'm getting that china today.

  • like that ;)

  • you play ok but you move like a robot

  • hey how are you hitting your zildjian a custom china..or how tight is it? i can't get mine to sound like that...

  • you should get a Zildjian Z3 megabell ride cymball they sound way better then yours

  • @MaggotMuncher96 I got a Sabian AA El Sabor ride. Sounds amazing.

  • @dennychaos trust me dude usually i dont like Zildjian but the Z3 megabell ride is worth the $230

  • nice cover dude, sounds great!

  • Great work bro! keep it up! you're gonna be sick by the time you're my age :)

  • Excellent again dude.

  • Hey man, great job. Forget these haters, I'd love to have you as a drummer.

  • Your drum set up is pretty weird.

  • @TheFlamingoCheese Read his description first for an explanation, then go look up one of the most godly drummers on the planet, Travis Orbin. (you won't be disappointed)

  • Excellent dude.... Don't let the critics who don't even attempt videos and run their mouth get to ya, bro!

  • The stick tricks..I don't think you should stop doing it completely lol I think it's good to do some tricks when it comes to putting on a show in a band, or drum solos. Gives the people more entertainment, buuut I wouldn't do it That much.

As far as this drum cover goes..Awesome job man. Thumbs up!

  • good run. interestin set up with the far left mounted tom

  • you're 17? no offense but you look like you're about 12.

  • @911violentagro None taken.

  • @911violentagro dude he doesn't look like he's 12 in this video. You cant even tell due to the angle. Great cover by the way

  • Overall, pretty steady work, but your opening was fucking horrid. WAY off time. You had it doubled there.....just lose the stick bullshit, twirls are for fags...maybe use the time you have to twirl like a fag, into adding your own little tom rolls or something unique?

  • @Waynehinkle86 Thanks! 17 years young

  • good job. only complaint is that the cymbals are much louder than the drums possibly because of your mics? oh and that snare sounds phenominal

  • @GaryCancer I agree... a metronome isn't that expensive ;-)

Check my cover of Prince ^^

  • epic fail for spining drumsticks.

  • good cover but i would sell a china and buy a nice crash

  • better thought, forget what i said :-)

  • please cover royaaaaaal ! It's an order !

  • to much fliping with the drum sticks its annoying!! sorry to say but it is!!! good drumming thhough

  • I agree with the unsteadyness

also, your mic setup is not really indicated for drums, and you should close mic everything except for Overheads

  • @zer0c00l2 Of course it's not, I work with what I got.

  • It's nice that you can do stick tricks, but your groove is a little unsteady

  • OK, pretty decent cover. Now, let's see if you can handle one of Abe's better songs like Nosebleed or Engine No. 9? Or even RATS!RATS!RATS!

  • That's some pretty solid playing, man, but I would lose the stick spinning. If you ask me, any sort of obnoxious showmanship like stick spinning or flailing your arms around completely negates any artistic merit the music/playing might have had.

  • @mattwalker21 I beg to differ but I will take this into account...

  • @dennychaos Uh, Matt is right dude. You play well, but that showy attitude is nothing but obnoxious and distracting.

  • Yeah dude. I can't take your playing seriously when you're throwing your shit around all the time. ONE spin is excusable if you're feeling pleasantly cocky and can back it up with a stellar performance. Deftones songs are notoriously simple... and I don't even know how many spins you decided to do... and that goofy lars ulrich salute/pose is just... painful to see... hahaha

  • @Henw notoriously simple? i have to disagree there. abe's drums are really intricate and subtle in places. granted, this song has almost nothing to it but to say deftones drums are simple is just wrong.

  • @mattwalker21 What the fuck is wrong with you? You would rather a drummer just sit there and look bored? You're an idiot and your opinion is invalid.

  • @jerma7x You don't have to flail your sticks and arms around ostentatiously to avoid looking bored. I would rather a drummer not be preoccupied with expressions of vanity like stick spinning or choreography. While I can appreciate that it is difficult to perform and takes a lot of dedication to perfect, it has no place in the avenue of true musical expression. That kind of behaviour belongs at the circus, not the bandstand of a serious musician trying to say something genuine with their music.

  • @mattwalker21 Especially when you are in your basement!! lol Thumbs up!! lol

  • @mattwalker21 No it doesn't...

  • Good job. Raise your seat up a little bit. I used to do the same thing when I was your age. Your quads should be level, if not your butt should be a little higher then your knees. Then set your kit up according to your seat hight.

  • leave acrobatics for other moment man ! otherwise, good cover ...

  • The stick flipping i noticed helps you keep the beat. Good though I like it alot!!!

  • Really solid cover. I dig your setup. You flipped your sticks a bit too much though. haha.

  • @IAmJamesRoy Thanks man. haha I was showing off my newly acquired, mediocre talent :P

  • Hey man, nice cover.

  • sweet style dude!

  • that hi hats sounds awesome!!!

  • Nice job but is anyone holding the camera or is it an effect?

  • @ThatNoztikGuy Unfortunately, someone is holding the camera. Don't have a tripod, so I can never get a good view.

  • Oh god, I love my fellow Orbos SO MUCH! Take it easy on the stick tricks, they get annoying after a while. Otherwise, I loved it brother.

  • @real1acer We're a community filled with love for each other haha I agree with not doing so many stick tricks but I thought the tricks were very toned down in this and all my other vids... in fact they're almost obsolete haha But thanks OrbbrO

  • good job man :P from a fellow drummer thimbs up ! how many years you been playing for ?

  • @purpleplatapusman thanks man [: i've been playing for about 7 years, 4 years seroiusly

  • good! how olad are u?!

  • @maximvaskin thank you. 17

  • Nice....

  • :)Yeah, you still did a good job on this.

  • @JULIEDUHHH Thank you.
