...So, I looked it up and called my Japanese friend and it turns out that both pronunciations are correct. My bad. :)

Alright. Whatever. Think about it. "Gaiden" is not english. It's (probably) Japanese. The "ai" sound is pronounced like the word "eye". So Gaiden is pronounced like "guy den". I'm not gonna argue with a troll. So there.
