  • The picture at the 17 second mark are all wrong for being on the ice.You have to keep a distance of 500 meters between units.

  • Other than the cold it's not what the tv show made it out to be.I ran for Byers Transport Edmonton to Yellowknife back in the 70sThe truck through the ice pics were taken at the icebridge at Ft Providence NWT.around 2000There was a load restriction at the time and he was way to heavy.

    To my knowledge there has never been a death directly attributed to a truck breaking through.There has been a few during the building of the roads though.

  • awsome job, how hard is it to get a start on the ice road? im in Aust so im guessing id have to atleast get used to driving on the LHS of the truck and the RHS of the road first ay lol..... still would love to have a go at this driving job one day
