I can see fukushima getting as bad or even worse (if it hasn't already, who really knows because they're covering this up very well.) if it isn't contained and the leaking is stopped very soon. The reason why chernobyl was so bad is because the initial explosion blew nearly the entire plant and all those radioactive materials right into the atmosphere immediately.
