my guess is that the scientist talking to G-Man is Kleiner and that the moving cabinet had either Lamarr in it or some earlier headcrab that Kleiner ttried to raise.

@CorporalShephard666 Not possible; at this point the first portal to Xen had not yet been opened and therefore Kleiner and the Black Mesa scientists had no knowledge of the existence of headcrabs.

Yeah, I just figured out that Kleiner and Eli are the two of the three scientists in the observation room at the test chamber. I think Kleiner is the one saying: They're waiting for you, Gordon. In the test chamber.

I don't remember if Alien mode was supposed to take place long before the game, but they were very much aware of Headcrabs.

When you teleport to Xen, you see dead Black Mesa personel in HEV suits. Then in Opposing Force, you see chambers meant to hold Headcrabs and other specimens. They were going to Xen a long time before the accident.

Remember, not every scientist there was privy to every experiment, You even find recordings of the scientists talking about specimens.

Otherwise, they couldn't have obtained the Xen crystal Gordon pushed into the Anti-Mass Spectrometer.

One thing I was thinking about was how when the headcrabs appeared in the room with the two scientists shortly after the resonance cascade, one of them remarks that he would like to get a blood sample from it, implying he hadn't had the opportunity to before or did not know about them.

Yup. Since it's a top secret facility, it makes sense that not everyone knows what all the projects are. In Blue Shift, you find a scientist who doesn't even know who Gordon Freeman is, which seems surprising after Half-Life, which every scientist seems to know him.

As far as I know, it's the full game, but you can't get the expansion packs like Blue Shift. It's not ragdoll, but in my opinon the weapons look cooler and the graphics are a tad more refined in the PS2 port.

its because in Half-Life there are no props, i think, unlike in the source engine, and this file cabinet has no collision detection or physical presence, if you noclip on the PC version, then remove the cheat to walk normally, you walk straight through the cabinet

It's not an easter egg, it's a bug. You shouldn't be able to get there and when you dont smash the glass you can hardly notice it facing you.

Hey, when you activate alien mode in the cheat menu, does it just show up in-game or do you have to press something?

There's a level select screen, and at the end, there's an option for an alien level. When I was playing this, I guess it glitched and I was able to play as an alien for the main single player.

This only works on the PS2 version, but if you put in the alien mode cheat code, and START A NEW GAME, you will be able to smash windows with your vortigaunt claws.

The cheat only activates AFTER you've started a new game. You can't put in the cheat and have it load on a saved game.
