I have a tin box version of "The Beyond"..."Legend of Hell House " scared me much more...I think the "The Beyond" is a primer for multi-coloured ooze genre (what's that one movie where a helicopter smashes through the roof of a theatre on top of technicolor zombies?"
Wow! Very nicely done! This is the first of the series I've stumbled across and it seems to be a great selection, nicely edited, with very good music. I'm definitely going to check out the rest of the series and probably hunt down some of those lesser known and foreign horror films elsewhere. Netflix maybe.
@VeNetM999: Ah, cancer. So, that's what it was. In truth I didn't know how she died. My mom was the one who mentioned her death to me. However, the fact remains. She died and I for one find it so odd that she died so soon after making the movie.
@Vanisherishere Actually she died after making the 3rd movie. The doctors mis-diagnosed her and she died (had something to do with her stomach). What's REALLY weird is the girl who played the older sister in the first one was murdered right after the movie was finished and someone else (not sure who) died as well. Rather creepy...
Classic Horrors I love: Alien,The Shining,Carrie,Jaws,Black Christmas,The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,Re-Animator,Halloween,Friday The 13th,Scream,The Thing,Evil Dead,The Silence of The Lambs,Resident Evil,28 Days Later,The Descent,The Blob,Predator
Underrated Horrors I love: Tamara, Wrong Turn, Wilderness, Cabin Fever, High Tension, Reeker, House 1,2,4, Shocker, Copycat, Cube 1,2, Candyman, Kill Theory, Warlock, Lost Souls, Anaconda, The Cave, The Coroner, Spring Break Shark Attack, The Fog
WHile I haven't seen two of the movies, of the three clips I've seen 30~12. I would say this is the one I disagree with most. While Profondo Rosso is a top 10 of mine, it isn't a horror movie. It is a Giallo which is basically a thriller.
While critically acclaimed with a twist ending, I don't consider Rosemary's Baby to be a true horror movie as well. And if you were going to include Hell House as a British import, I would have done a Hammer film instead.
Rosemary's Baby is more of a thriller. I don't think it's slow-paced at all. It's definately one of the most suspenseful movies I've seen. I loved it!

A disturbing Fact: the little girl who played in the Poltergeist movies, mysteriously died shortly after the last movie was made...
Now, that is just plain freaky!
Reason why there are no more Poltergeist movies.

Modern audiences can certainly still relate to the themes of paranoia and conspiracy, though the pacing may need some tightening.
