1) they aren't called "nunchucks" they are called Nunchaku, you will never be a true martial artist if you do not call them by there true name. 2) You are holding them to far up the shaft, your hand should be at least 6" down from the chain so you can execute the switches properly. 3) The length of the Nunchaku is one shaft to be as long as the Radius and Ulna (forearm). Other than those massive mistakes, good skills.!

hey thanks so much for putting this video up!  my taekwon do instructor tried showing me how to use my nunchucks but he didnt really elaborate or teach me for very long (i just randomly bought nunchucks one day and asked him to show me how to use them, even though he is only supposed to teach us how to use staffs so he didnt go in-depth in my nunchuck instruction). when i saw this video, a lot of the things you said were thing that he mentioned to me but you made it make sense so thanks!

Try holding it closer to the end of the weapon, not so close to the chain. Not only that, get a real pair. A good wooden pair, octagonal shape with good rope, not chain. I'm either guessing your either Chinese Martial trained or a random freestyler that watched some videos and thinks he knows what he's doing with a pair of Nunchaku. Before you question me on my credentials, I'm a 11 year Goju Ryu Karateka, meaning I trained in Kobudo and I understand how to handle my weaponry
