that proceeds out of the mouth of God. This doesn't mean you may not make a mistake, but the bible says repent quickly. Read the following scriptures:Gal:5, Heb 12, Rom 6, Lev 20:7, Lev 10:10, 1 John 4:4, Jude 1:24,25, also a scripture that you mention about Jesus telling the prostitute go an sin no more...there plenty of scriptures in God's word that tell you the answer to your question. You just have to believe it.
The answer to that is YES. If you believe Jesus was a man and the Son of God, you will notice that the bible says that he did no sin and no guile was in his mouth. His life was an example for us. He went through the same things that we go through. He was tempted by the devil but he chose to resist him. He just quoted the word like we should do. The devil told him to turn the stones into bread and he immediately quoted Isaiah to him and said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word
Its virtually impossible for a human to "go and sin no more" (unless they are 99 years old and deaf, blind and dumb). I do my best each day. But I want Jesus to impute his righteousness in place of mine. If not, I can't win.
Yes but you have to literally give your everything to the Lord himself... You can't hold on to anything in this world. I believe that it is easy for old people to do that. On the other hand, being a young person in this world is more than hard to do so.. cause even though I know that I'm not OF this world, I still find myself doing the things that are in fact "of this world" .. it's a tough life. However, decisions must be made fore we do not know when our time will come & it will be too late.
@Laiideebree You make an interesting point. I was thinking about the age thing today. I read an article about at 52 year old prostitute who had been hooking since she was 21 or so. I wondered if people just grew tired of sinning as they aged. Perhaps it is easier to follow Christ when you are older, due to gaining wisdom (to which the fear of God is the beginning of). There are many temptations out there, yet we are assured that there is no new temptations and Christ resisted them all! :0)
Also the Holy Ghost is here to help us. To give us power over the enemy. So we need to be filled with the Holy Ghost
