Yeah the dragon deffinitely got the shaft.

However after watching how my young cousin play with his toys, I completely see why BoA would change the design to that. With the BoJ Dragon there were several points of articulation which, if transfered to BoA's type of plastic would have made it easily breakable. So by going with one point on the body that bends and having that be better reinforced then they could have done with a BoJ type design they reduced the chance of breakage.

@Genku Keep in mind that Power Rangers is not Super Sentai. It is an ADAPTATION meaning things get changed (for localization) while other things get reused as-is (fight footage and the like). Think of it as an alternate reality version and not a carbon copy transfer. I happen to like the whole Mega Mode sword/controller thing. That is just me though. It is also worth remembering that the target audience (kids) will not have seen/heard about a show on Japanese tv that aired two years ago.
