I've seen this group and another group (the Mahoney Bros) live. Hands down the Mahoney's are better. They play at Altlantic City most of the time. Have played all over the United States though, even including Hillary Clinton's birthday party. Longest running Beatles imitators, did the original Legends in Concert in Las Vegas, and the original play "Beatlemania", in New York.
I saw this, (On George Harrison's birthday coincidentally), and it was freaking fantastic. I loved every bit of the show, and I was so pleased how much I loved it. My cousin and I danced and sang with every song. since I'm only fourteen, it was really awesome to see how it must have been to see the Beatles. Not to mention how talented these guys were. I totally recommend seeing it if you ever get the chance! :D
Good job Rain. I'm a 60 year old grandma and remember when the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan show for 3 weekends in a row in the 60's. We always went to church on Sunday night and the only reason we were home was because my Grandmother had passed away. I also remember seeing Elvis on Sullivan's show on our black and white TV. Damn!!!! I'm old but 'Thanks for the memories",
these guys are pretty good, but, no, guitarman754938, they don't sound the same, unless you haven't heard the beatles music enough. There are a few flaws, sound, costume, ect., but besides that, they're pretty good.
saw them today live from the front row! theyre very good with the crowd and they riled us up! they are 120% real and they didnt lip synch-believe me, i thought they were but they weren't! theres a fifth guy thats off to the side and he does all of the violins and trumpets and stuff on his sound keyboard, but NOTHING is pre-recorded. i loved this show-see it, you will not be disappointed!
I saw Rain in toronto this past sunday. PHENOMENAL!!!!! It's true, you almost forget that your watching a tribute band. I'm planning to watch them again in the summer, they're coming back to T.O for a whole month. Can't wait.
I saw them when they were in Denver. I thought they were phenomenal! Many times I forgot that the were not the Beattles... All of the vocals were great. The drummer was amazing! Ralph, Can't wait to see you again in Denver.
I like Joey as Paul don't get me wrong, But having Met Graham Alexander he's such a sweetheart and honestly to me does a better performance as paul (seeing as how he plays the bass like Paul) and he's very talented for a boy of only 20.
I just saw these guys and the bass player played lefty but for this song he played right handed. I thought it was two guys for sure until they handed him his lefty bass onstage and he switched back. Unreal.
RAIN does have two performers who portray each character - including Paul. This is Joey Curatolo who plays both bass and guitar righty. The one you saw is Graham Alexander who plays bass lefty and guitar righty.
Saw them and they did a great job. But they need to try something different, like perform the whole White Album or do songs from the Get Back sessions.
In response to needing there to be a left-handed Paul, when we saw Rain perform, Joey (Paul) actually played bass left handed! We were extremely impressed. It was only the guitar where he played right-handed which makes sense.
Joey does not play left handed. However, Rain's alternate "Paul", Alex Smith, is a lefty. Who you saw was most likely Alex Smith. They are both great!
No worries. I've heard people make that mistake before. They both are so much like McCartney it's incredible. Alex plays bass left handed but I do believe (I could be very wrong so don't quote me on it) that he is naturally a righty. It seems as if that's what I heard at one point and that is a logical explanation but I will try to clear that up with Alex for ya.
This is pretty good, but I think Joey Curatolo does a much better job at his impression of McCartney during his Wings era. I rescently heard the song "Love Take Me Down (to the Streetlights)," that he did for some movie. I'll admit, I could have been tricked into thinking that it was really some lost Wings song that had rescently been discovered.
These guys have to rank easily in the top 3 of the all time best beatles band. They seem to hit every note accurately as the record and they play it so effortlessly. Great job
The Fab Four is WAY WAY WAY better! I was almost falling asleep at the RAIN concert! I felt like they made it more about their own band rather than actual Beatles. When they showed pictures, they were of the members of RAIN rather than the Beatles. I don't know about you, but I'd rather experience the Beatles (in photos), not Rain. Plus the Fab Four sounded much better imo.
Um dude, it's a TRIBUTE band, NOT a cover band. Get a life. Besides, the Beatles never performed most of these songs live. In fact the majority of them could not be performed live back in the day... the technology just wasn't there. So get a life.
First of all, I do have the right to my own opinion, so there's no need to tell me to get a life...TWICE in the same comment. I'm allowed to think The Fab Four was better. And you are allowed to think RAIN was better.
What does the fact that they didn't perform most of the songs life have to do with anything?
And yes, I'm aware they're a tribute band...Again, what does that have to do with anything?
Wow!! This is the first time I've ever heard these guys. I've seen 1964 The Tribute & Beatlemainia but this is amazing. If the guy playing Paul was left handed it would be perfect. Sounds just like the Beatles!!!!
I saw them. They are as queenie0106 said: "the closest thing you can get to the real beatles!" They were amazing go to their site and see when they tour near you.
Thanks for the fantastic in house quality videos. Hope future dates include something in the Tahoe/Reno area or better yet somewhere in the S.F. Bay Area. Later, cheers guys...
He is the best "Paul" I've ever seen!! He is fantastic. I saw them for the first time in Liverpool as part of Beatle Week. The full stage show and in the Cavern doing early stuff. The best Beatle band i've ever seen, and i've been going to Beatle week for 15 years. I love you guys! Only problem is i'm from Scotland, so will probably never see them again! :(
Yikes, youre not kidding about the Paul here. Sounds just like him if your eyes are closed. If I were the real Paul Id invite "me" over for a glass of wine and make "Me" do a few songs. Wonder if Paul or Ringo has seen Rain?
