No solder sucker? Solder sucker made it a lot easier for me when I was pulling pumps apart.

I don't have one, but that would probably help a bunch. I guess there is soldering wick that would do a similar job. The main tool I was lacking was some fine tweezers though, you need something very find that can pull and hold the wires in place while both desoldering and soldering back in place.
