"Al Azif" was the original/alternative name of the infamous book "Necronomicon" featured in H.P. Lovecraft's works.

Very Nice...Now I feel like rewatching the anime and installing the game...too bad there is no translation patch for the game....yet... T-T

Yeah, for now you can use a program called AGTH(google for it) to have it translate the ingame text. Though its not perfect but at least you can interpret better on what is going on.
