  • Really amazing that the western people r playing this beautiful Raga Jog. Their rendering is excellent. Hats off to u and carry on.

  • VERY NICE!!

  • Very nice. Gave a new experience of Raag "Jog". I was reminded by Raag "Prabhati" by Pt. Ravi Shankar (on sitar) and Yehudi Menuhin (on violin) recorded in the '60s. If I may, mridangam accompaniment played a little louder (as commented earlier) would also have been appropriate. But very nice anyway!

  • RATTA HUA BAJANA-BUT GOOD

  • Beautiful adaptation of raga Jog on the violin and acoustic guitar. Only downside is that the sound of the percussion (tabla) cannot be heard clearly enough. Fantastic performance though!

  • wow.

  • what cd is this from? if it is?

i know nothing truly of ragas but i will learn this melody

  • It has not been released on any CD yet ...

  • Ah I see, I was assuming because the video production look like a music video. Thanks.

  • It was just a live shot for a TV ...

  • Excellent Presentation guys... great going, Amazing choice of Ragam as well, Nilambari raga

  • Yes, indeed :-) I learnt this very composition from my violin guru Dr.N.Rajam

  • Excellent Presentaion Guys... It is Raaga Jog in North Indian Music & called Raga Nattai in South Indian Music (Carnatic Music)

  • actually it isn't quite nattai in carnatic because jog doesn't have the higher n which nattai has. i don't think jog has a perfect equivalent in carnatic music.
