  • I have A MAKITA HAND HELD, 4"GRINDER #N95148B. CAN THIS MACHINE BE USED AS A POLISHER FOR CAR PAINT AND ALUMINUM WHEELS ON BIG RIGS?? ANY CONSIDERATION WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

  • nice video

  • I wonder how expertvillage would do a video on how to rick roll somebody :D

  • wow undertaker got a new full time job!!!

  • dont over buff it otherwise you will find black patch on coted surface

if you polish this little part this much time then how will you give huge production ??

  • Haha, body work. Fuck that. Zip ties and primer motherfucker!

  • hi am Expert Village i suk

  • I've never seen a goat use a power tool before. Very interesting.........

  • @vextron00 Ha ha ha ha ha ha.... Rolling on the floor laughing....

  • Comment removed

  • huh

  • OMG 0:51 what a ugly man!!!!!!

  • check out m22wrights Youtube page on the very best in videos found ANYWHERE on deep scratch removal

  • did u ever think about a smaller pad ?

  • love the beard

    lol

  • are you using the black waffle head mop head?? and how come you only go to 2000grit w/d for top quality paint? nice vid though.

  • where can i get the pads and the attachments for a grinder?

  • @kamilpolniak it's just an extension. remove the guard put the extention and there you go. If your grinder don't have speed control, get a light dimmer at a hardware store for about 5 bucks put in in a box and rig it up so you can control the speed on the grinder. Grinders are way too fast for buffing so you gonna need that. good luck.

  • @tangnatalaga but where do i get the extension?

  • @kamilpolniak I bought mine at an auto part store one of those that sell those. the typical ones don't sell them. you can probably try hardware stores or an auto body shop supply store.

  • Are their any tricks to fix damages from burning through the clear coat ?

I was surprised how easily it went through. Black midnight pearl.

  • @fixumm paint more clear. no tricks

  • Who cares about the print that's cutting off the video..

  • If you are planning to buy a used car trust only the World of Wheels in Des Moines.

  • fucking redneck

  • Try This: adf.ly/96484/autofix

  • Doug great video.I would to see it from start to finish

  • 20 great guys,, what a fag lol

  • Im talking to Timbemann. Its true, Crystal shine from CarBrite is a very nice product but I suggest you to try the glaze from 3M part # 06064 (step 2) and next to this use the blue pad from 3M with the step 3 !! ( blue colored ). try it ! after u can use crystal shine or other wax to protect your job ! ^^ good luck

  • yo. I just want to say that im using the same buffer made by Makita and when im using the final glaze with dark pad, I put the speed of the buffer at 2 or between 2 and 3 but, never at 3. lol ! And I move the buffer slowly and i keep it wet. Never bring the surface ur glazing dry ! Because if u look ur job indoor its look great but,go out at the sun ( mostly its a dark color ). Ull see like bigs blues holograms..... not good ! sry if i makes somes ortograph errors, my english is not to date;p

  • His technique definitely needs some work, but as far as expert village vids go this guy is a fuckin guru.

  • fuck me, you yank knobs....

  • anyone even half in the know will tell you black pads and pad glaze are not the final step. read the 3m catlogue lately.? amatuers at best...

  • he sucks!

  • Two words: swirl marks.

  • The entire point of waffle pad buffing is to remove swirl marks. Foam pads are used at the lowest speed setting your buffer has, so unless your really careless you shouldn't have to worry about burning through. Follow up with a basic hand glaze like Crystal Shine and you'll have a beautiful deep gloss.

  • I would love to see you tough guys say that to his face. Its typically a bad idea to start a fight with a guy that has hand tattoos. Just a rule of thumb.

  • who cares

  • Wow, pretty nail polish there fella! Does ur boyfriend like the polish when you fist his ass?

  • painted nails or not, this guy could probably punch your teeth down your throat

  • well thats different anyway does anyone know where you can get one of those paint measureing stick he used on one of the 6000 vids.

  • Expert Village really sucks big time. Half of the videos is simply about "Hi i am another nerd from expert village and I am gonna show you how to do this." Videos are not informative and instructional at all...it only shows that look expert village knows it all. You tube should ban these loosers.

  • why is everyone commenting on his black painted finger nails? WTF - he also has tatoos. . . so what. . . maybe he likes that, what the hell does that have to do with autobody work. grow the F up.

  • expertvillage is shitty... why would anyone ever defend them

  • well, we were actually waiting to see your expertise on how to do something, but since you can't do shit, we'll all have to settle for ExpertVillage. so stfu!

  • again, why would you defend expert village?

  • your just as bad for sticking up for him. Painted nails are for girls and faggots.

  • Ok, whatever you say. Years ago, they used to say long hair was only for girls and faggots too.

  • "they" still say that.

  • Well, "You" are just like "They" when you judge a person by their personal style. When I was growing up, only Servicemen (Army, Navy, etc.) got tatoos; anyone else was considered a freak; any guy with an earring was a definite fag. I remember the first time I saw a guy with fingernail polish on (1977) I thought he was a perverted freak. I was a college basketball player. Times have changed man. Minor things like that is so miniscule in the grand scheme of things.

  • I don't give a damn about the "grand scheme". Were I come from, guys keep their hair short, and the only paint on their finger nails got there by accident.

  • Who gives a fuck where ur from. No independence where ur from, huh? Sux to be u

  • Do I have to paint my finger nails to get on expert village?

  • You Tube needs to add a button that will allow users to exclude any videos from "expertvillage" ...

  • Just to correct you... The black pad has No cutting abilities. From Lake Country "The black foam pad is very soft. Use it for wax and paint sealant application. The black foam has no cutting ability. It does a great job of spreading an even coat of paint protection."

  • Just to correct you - Different manufacturers used different colored pads for different cutting abilities. You're right in that LC black pads have no cutting abilities, but 3M black pads have a light cutting ability, similar to a LC white pad.

  • chunkybuster that is why the uk is the f-up place that it is, they still have a queen to tell them what to do. in the us you can paint a car and have a "goaty" and also you can paint your nails any color you want, the only requirement we have is that you do your job right and this guy does it perfect...

  • if you seriously are 52 your just proving the stereotype of americans being complete and utter morons...the queen has no controll over the people of the uk at all, the goverment does and the royal family bring a hell of alot of trade to the uk.

so bring me the old stars n stripes so i can shit on it.

  • I liked how he didn't buff a flat surface(hood, trunk, etc) gives you a good idea of how your supposed to buff in the real world... : )

  • he has painted finger nails

  • This "Hi I'm Doug" stuff is addictive.

  • In the UK health and safety would cut his goaty for a start, also is the pad big enough! DER

  • This guy paints his nails. How can he be taken seriously? I wouldn't let him near my car.

  • Atleast we know he's got experiance with black=D

  • lmao

  • you should wet sand with 3000 on a DA before compound buffing. it makes life soo much easier...

  • ardex

  • 3M compounds and polishes- overrated overpriced. good for beginners but the pros know where to go. i dont even need to name names.

  • that's "you're am idiot." Shit does happen, though, especially if your arms are a bit more tired than you think they are. A rotary router, with the head curved like your crank, well, that sucker got me in a college class..grabbed the bottom of my shirt, and then started traveling up to my neck...scared the crap out of me. Some wood shop thing.

  • thinner pads cause swirl marks, and you should be using a protectant after applying a compound

  • I wonder what his knuckle tattoos say. Otherwise his beard and nails are so stupid. I want to kick him in the nuts.

  • oh my god check out his nails-what an odd bod!

  • is it better to wet sand the clear coat first to get rid of orange peal then buffer it?

  • Yes, and make sure if you are going to do this that you have enough clear coat.

  • Ok...So whats the point of wet sainding the clear coat ? And why couldn't you just buff after you applied the clear ? Im new at this and Im trying to understand. It just seems like if you wet sand you clear coat it would make it dull again...Once again Im new at this shit..So dont come at me like an asshole...LOL Thanks man...

  • Haha, dont worry. we were all new at this at one point or another. well, except Paul Dalton, he was born doing this.

Wet-sanding isn't really done to make it shiny. Actually when you wetsand it gets very dull because you are putting a bunch of very tiny scratches in the clear, but you polish it to a mirror. usually its done to level it out so you dont have orange peel but also is used if the paint is in really bad shape.

personally, i just use it for leveling the surface.

  • the clear is smooth but not 100% smooth.. without wet sanding u will see some waves and what not when u look at it in certain light.. when you wet sand it, it will be perfect. more work but worth it for a awesome paint job.

  • when you buff with a polish all you do is cut your clear coat so all of the clear coat is at an even level meaning no swirl marks

wetsanding cuts scratches into your clearcoat usually done so you can either remove a scratch or remove orange peel. however you should usually buff it out after so your clear coat doesn't appear scratched but at an even level again

no bufing will not affect paint unless you push the buffer down too hard or especially if u use a rotary buffer and keep it in one spot

  • And if you did buff after the clear coat dried...What would happen ?? Would that effect the paint ??

  • orange peel.. you have to sand out the orange peel and then buff.. if you just buff than the orange peel will show like a sore thumb.

  • sorry.. that was too allinyadamnface2

  • Your billy goat is a safety hazard. Tie it back before you rip your entire chin off!

  • So this would be the last step after sanding an object? I had to sand down a few spots on my surfboard to repair a few dings which made the finish somewhat ruff. To get a mirror finish I would have to look into buffing out the rough spots? opposed to using a finer grit sand paper or is it possible to get a mirror like finish with sand paper only.....

  • Haha...I buff all day long at my job...!!
